Honestly, I remember way back when maybe 5 or 6 years when the rumors surfaced, then those rumors were debunked and we went back to our normal lives on the internets.
But ******** yeah, I finally saw if the other day. Dunno about it being the best movie in general, but as a Simpsons fan from back in the day, it was oh so satisfying.
Anyone been a fan as long as I have? (I was prolly introduced to it back in the 2nd season.)
"And look! You can see the four states that border Springfield! Ohio, Nevada, Kentucky, and Maine!"

I've been a fan since the official beginning of the first season. (After the Xmas episode pilot, but the one where Bart cheats to get into the smart kid school.)
My uncles used to have piles and piles of VHS tapes of the episodes before the endless reruns started up.

I've been watching Simpsons since I was born, man. ~_~ Or at least it seems like it. ~_~Hoping to go see it sometime soon, maybe today or tomorrow. Hopefully the rush will have calmed down by now.

Eh... I kinda grew out of the Simpsons. Maybe ten years ago, I would have been excited. But not now.

I LOVE the Simpsons, but honestly, I prefer the episodes before Season 11. (Season 11 = the season they ******** everything up; like killing off Maude, Apu getting the octuplets, etc.) Also Futurama started around that time, and many of the really awesome writers left for that or independant projects, like Oakley and Weinstein left for Mission Hill.
Personally, my opinion is watch Seasons 4 - 10 if you want the best episodes. anything after that pretty much sucks. I only watch the Halloween eps to keep up with the tradition.
I'm excited for the movie, though. <3 Going to see it possinly tomorrow. I have faith since not only did Groening himself write a good part of the screenplay, he got about 10 of his original writers back from the old eps, too. (Well.. except Matt Selman, since he worked on it since Season 9.)
And uhh.. seeing how much I've spewed out here, I've been watching the series ever since I was 4. XD ::is almost 22:: I haven't been keeping up recently, however.

My boyfriend and I were gonna go see it when it opened but the theaters were totally packed. So we're gonna give it some time before we go. Ah, but, I've been a fan of the show since I was really little; I haven't watched it in recent .. well, years, except a random episode here and there, however, I still think I'll go see the movie simply for the nostalgia value.

Actually my father managed to get me hooked on Beavis and Butthead before The Simpsons could really get a hold of me, but I did watch The Simpsons as well so I loved the movie. (I don't watch much TV anymore, so... sweatdrop )

It was another cliche montage-of-random-things-covering-the-genitalia-while-in-the-nude until we get to a hedge with the area crotch-height removed, so you get a good second or two of his nads xd
