The Red Goblet is an Inn with a Tavern in the front room.

The front room is lit with candles and gas lamps, giving the room a healthy glow. The patrons inside are very rambunctious, and several are singing hearty drinking songs while playing a gambling game with dice. Others are sitting in the darker corners with heads and hoods down, keeping to themselves.

Barmaids weave in and out of the patrons, chests heaving as they either push past drunken advances, or curl up on the lap of a particularly well-endowed man, who of course slips a few coins in the girl's pocket.

There is a stage in the corner of the room, and the travelling troubador, Jocelyn Alaw, is playing and singing a raunchy ballad to much applause and cheering. Occasionally, she takes a break and sits near the stage, letting people buy her drinks, only to jump back up and start dancing or singing to a request, and of course, hard cash.

[Multi-Location Post:Red Goblet+City Markets]

The back door of the Red Goblet clanked closed behind her savior, a wisp of smoke swirled out of the deep doorway and drooped to the ground, splashing out in a slow, overly dramatic fashion. May'a leaned against the wall a few feet from the splash, contemplating what to do. He seems safe she thought to herself And his kind might be able to help me she unconsciously rubbed over her arm where the lines had been before, strings of emerald green clung to her hand as she pulled it away, they snapped and fell back to her arm, she would need to find a wash room soon no matter what she did.

Someone turned down the far end of the ally, May'a snapped out of her thoughts and back the the world. Luckily a large trash bin hid her, and the door Mahna had passed through. Before she could consider what to do a pair followed the first into the ally and she started towards the door. Opening it as quietly as possible she slid inside and pulled it shut again.

[just Red Goblet]

Her first breath grabbed her through and she nearly chocked, while catching her breath she moved through the hoard of drunks, easily locating her scaly savior and joining him at the table.

"Thank you"

As Mahna entered the building, and a flurry of odors overwhelmed his senses. Their was alcohol, smoke, sweat, and even what he thought to be stale urine. He grimaced, and shook off the shock as he made his way to a small crevice near the door that was easily seen from the enterance, but secluded enough for his taste.

There he waited for a while, brushing off a frightened waiter, and evading the prejudice gazes that followed his entrance. Eventually the young woman came into the establishment, coming near to him and speaking to him with thanks.

"Your welcome." He said carefully, extinguishing the fire that burned on the blade of his Halberg. "It is my honor to protect. You don't seem to mind my appearance as much as the others do." He said as he looked around the room, his expression changing as if an idea had crossed his mind.

He reached down the front of his robe and pulled out a glowing blue amulet. The Amulet laid in his hand for a moment before suddenly glowing more brightly with an omnious saphire glow. Another moment later and Mahna's figure disappeared behind a brilliant light, and he reappeared in a human vessel. He was of a dark brown complexion, and long black braids ran down his back. The Amulet now lay on his forehead as jewel, but now it no longer glowed as it had, but instead emitted a warm ruby glow hardly visible except under the careful eye. "So why were those men after you?" He asked gingerly, careful to avoid any questions that he felt would upset his new companion.

"He is a bounty hunter" She paused to consider how he might take the news that he just saved a bounty head "I'm not a criminal, I just..." She rubbed her arm again, thinking of the best way to put it "I have something, that someone wants... it's complicated."

(got distracted, cant think anymore...)

Dorothy shut the door and walked into the Red Goblet. She had just got off of one of her jobs. She walked to the bar and sat down, lying her head on the smooth wood. The barmaid walked over,"Just get off?" Dorothy nodded. The barmaid sighed,"I'll get you some water. Why did they work you late today?" Dorothy lifted her head up slightly,"A new stock came in. And Jowe left early." The barmaid brought her a glass of water. "I was stuck with 50 pounds of fish to clean and stock," Dorothy siad taking a drink. The barmaid laughed,"We'll at least that explains why your dripping blood. Go get cleaned up, it's almost your shift." Dorothy nodded and headed towards the back rooms.

Mahna directed himself slowly. The idea of Bounties and Bounty Hunters had always had a place in his mind as an inferiority of honor. If one should need to capture, kill, or silence another, he thought it dishonorable to use their wealth to achieve their most cerainly foul goals. "Bounties and Bounty Hunters will be of less danger while I protect you. Though I cannot, as you understand, guarantee that I will be able to keep you from harm. I only imply that I will use all of might to protect as best as I can. My name is Mahna, and I am a wandering Teroa from the Lands of Nazoni." He took a short bow, and the fire from his Halberd glimmered in their dark corner as a candle would in blackness.

His senses became more alert as the scent of fish attracted his attention, and he looked for the source shortly finding it to be a newly entered woman covered in blood. The scent stirred his hunger, and he reached into his robes to recover what little gold he had aquired from the Robbers earlier. "Are you hungry little one?" He asked the young maiden that he had just saved sincerily, counting out his small wealth.

[[Guess this post could have done with a little bit more thought. Sorry Voodoo, the remark was aimed for M'aya.]]

Dorothy heard the man just bearly. She stopped and turned to him,"No thank-you. I don't take pity money." She turned and walk to the back rooms. She sighed as she opened the door to her inn room. She slipped off her bloody shirt and let her wings fold out. She'd managed to keep them hidden since she got her 10 years ago, but she hated it when they smelled like fish. She strip down the rest of the way. Refolded her wings, and wrapped a towel around her body. Heading off to the bathroom to get cleaned up.

[Events that led up to this location]

Ishod found himself generally wandering the streets, knowing that the merchants who beckoned him could have nothing he wanted or hadn't seen before. A potion of this, a potion of that, and a sword with this and some fruits with everything. In all told, Ishod was beginning to think that'd he'd never find a good place to find some dark myth he could go chasing out into the jungles.

Or at least something small to do in this harbor city.

On his way to wherever he was going (as he did not yet know), he happened to brush by the same girl he saw behind the storehouse on the docks. This time he actually took the time to notice her. Black hair, lovely green eyes, but naturally warmer skin than other girls he had seen like her before. He smirked, although he was not unfamiliar with women and the actions of lust, it wasn't his goal (like he knew it was of many men) to get as many as he could.

"Hey you, aren't you the runner I saw at the docks?" she ssaid just as he was about to get out of earshot (the markets were a loud place). "Aye, that would be me, Ishod, at your service," he said, turning and taking her hand and kissing it.

She blushed, "Well now, I don't think this occasion calls for any o that." He smiled, "since you seem to be a friendly face, mind telling me where I could meet a few," he decided to use her term, "runner's like myself?"

"Oh yeah, the Red Goblet's usually full of your sort, but none of them have been quite as nice as you." she said, and pointed him on his way.

[In the Location]

Ishod walked in and immediately knew that he couldn't trust at least two thirds of the people in there. Sure they were all drunk and merry, but most of them looked shady and unforgiving nonetheless. Then again, in his experience you had to go through a few bars before you found at least a few good men, and even then it took a few drinks to get them to see your side of the story.

His favourite companions were brothers who setout with him in vengence to their father, they just wanted a little help, but after them, it seemed as though he hit a streak of bad luck, and couldn't find anyone to go out in the wilderness with.

He took his seat in less crowded area of the tavern and looked out the window, seeing people go back and forth in their daily lives, he wondered how anyone could do it, knowing that their whole life they'll never have footfall anywhere else but here.

The barmaid snapped him out of thought, "Atternoo' wat can I get for ya moi fine man?" she said, obviously taking notice of Ishod's natural attractability (which sometimes he hated), and licking her lips. "I'll have the finest cheap ale you've got m'lady," and flipped her the coin to pay for it and a coin extra for herself, which she hurriedly tucked away while running off.

It was going to be a long hunt.

Leo Strange looked around suspiciously as he entered the Red Goblet. He was just passing through Rinon, or at least that was the plan. He couldn't afford to stay long, but he'd been walking for 24 hours straight, and he was dead tired. Maybe I should buy a horse tomarrow. He thought to himself. He'd been forced to leave his last horse behind two weeks ago, and he hadn't had time to buy one since.

He walked up to the owner of the inn and pulled out some coins.

"I need a room for the night."

The innkeeper nodded and took the coins. Then he grabbed a key off the rack and handed it to Leo. "Up the stairs, second door to the right."

Leo nodded and put the key in his pocket before heading off to check out the tavern. As tired as he was, he needed information.

Ishod sat back and put his feet up on the table, taking his ail from the much flattered barmaid and thanking her kindly, she went on her way (though he knew she'd be back), and he was left alone to look out in the streets.

He began whistling along with the drinking song a nearby table was singing, and soon found himself deep inthought, with one hand near his dagger and the other on the handle of his pewter mug of ale.

"Yoho yoho, two drinks in the Goblet's worth one in a pub,
They may got good service, but we got good grub,
So yoho yoho, two drinks in the Goblet's worth one in a pub."

They sang on and on, until the lyrics degenarated into a bunch of drunken gibberish. Time was passing slowly, but Ishod needed his rest.

The barmaid, seeing an oppurtunity to return (his mug was empty) did so, "'ello again sir, moight I 'ave the cup there luv? You'll be needing more ale you will, I think that blasted Jocelyn is 'bout to sing again."

Ah Jealousy, Ishod thought, but he might want company tonight, so he instead smiled and thanked her kindly to get him another ale.

Then it was ruined. "Hey mate, me and me mates here see you hittin' on our girl."

Ishod glared at the man, "Your girl eh? I think she's taken a liking to me if I do say so," the man, short and grubby looking, was from one of the table she had served, they were all a grundgy looking lot and all of them were staring at Ishod as though to set him on fire.

"I doan care wut you say, she's our girl, so," the man's hands came from his sides as though to touch Ishod, and Ishod, overreacting by a bit, cast his card on him, the man foamed out the mouth and turned towards his mates, falling down gibbering into a pool of drool.

This did not fly over well with his mates. "Oi, you see that?" "Lookit wut 'e did," "Oh the bastid's mine first."

They got up and came towards him, and Ishod finished his ale just in time to get up in bash it over one of their heads.

As with all good fights that take place where men are drinking, soon everybody was up and about beating each other senseless.

Ishod knocked out to of the guys with the mug before finding a splintered chair leg (it had come off from another fighting group) a better weapon. He cast another of his cards, blinding a few of the men just long enough for him to dodge most of the action, and with a little bit of air in his step he thought he could get away, but instead got tackled out the back door by a muscular looking man.

Ishod cast his first card again, and the man fell over grumbling something about pennycakes.

Meanwhile, the fight raced on inside.

Leo ducked as a man suddenly through a bottle at him. Just my luck, a bar fight. Great.

Without wasting any time, Leo held his staff at the ready, then held up one hand and muttered the word two under his breath. A small burst of electricity flew from his hands, aimed at the person throwing beer bottles. It hit him dead in the chest, making the big man fall over in pain. Before he had time to recover, Leo rushed up to him and jabbed him in the forehead with the tip of his staff. The big guy fell over on the floor, clearly out of the fight. Leo barely managed to keep from laughing when another man tripped over the first. He quickly whacked the second man in the back of the head and he too, lost consciousness. But things weren't done yet. Leo turned to face the main group, staff at the ready, while watching other fighters out of the corner of his eyes.

"I think I am" she said more confidently as she was getting used to Mahna, but before anything else could happen a pair of drunks crashed into the table, one hitting the side and sliding off, the other managing to fly to the far end and flip the table on it's side. The two groaned painfully and made no attempt to stand up as a third drunk roared in a completely ridiculous triumphant manor, but fate was not on his side for long, a fourth man who seemed perfectly sober ran behind him, this man's pursuer decided it'd be easier to simply throw one of the large iron vases on all the tables at him than give chase, it missed and hit the third man square on the shoulder. To say the least May'a was astonished by the whole show, but quickly she remembered the fragile nature of her body and looked around to make sure no other drunks were headed her way.

The mod was fairly loose that far back in the tavern, but two dense areas could be plainly seen near the front and the bar.

(alright, we're down one table and up two drunks, I'd call that eventful)

Dorothy stepped out into the hall. She could heard the screams coming from up front. She sighed, "Great I'm gonna get the ones who live." She turned to the back and headed to the public bath.

The slid into the bath. The water was extremely dirty. Se held her breath. Just enough to stop smelling like fish, she told herself. She started to rub the water over her skin. At least the warmth ofthe water feels good.

Ishod rolled his eyes. Unfortunately in the fray he had forgotten his backpack, and it lay totally safe under his table, safe, that was, until someone broke the table.

He bowed his head and dashed inside, his foot finding it's way into the downed man's gut that had knocked him out of the door. He dodged and weaved a few blindly made blows before he was finally caught in the stomach, by a man who looked as though he had come in from the street just to join the fighting.

In fact, he probably did, the bar seemed more full of people now than when it was calm, as though the locals were just ready for a good fight. Ishod beat the back of the man's knee and caused him to fall before continuing on his way. A drunk used his huddled from to toss a man over him, giving Ishod a thumbs-up gesture before merrily turning around and tossing a few more.

Then Ishod reached his backpack, and decided to watch the fight from under the table. It was only slightly disturbing that a lot of people from the streets seemed to be smiling as debris from splintered chairs and even a few plates were tossed about. Ishod had decided that the time was Now to move on, and the back alley seemed to be the place (he was pretty sure gaurdss of some sort would be on thier way). So he had to brave the perils of the mass before him.

Which he did, easily, noticing a few strangers that were avoiding the fight as much as possible, it would probably be nice to help them, and maybe he'd find a few companions to go off into the jungles with, but his mind was set and so were his feet, but someone had diferent plans.

He was somehow forced to go upstairs (the man in the doorway was rather large) and the second floor was relatively peaceful. This would inevitably be his wandering grounds before the fight broke up.
