Flea yawned and sat hunched over on the small, naturally formed path. He was going crazy with a small itch at the back of his neck, one that his hind foot simply could not reach! His ears flattened against his skull and he snarled in his bad mood, shifting and twisting but to no avail. "Zen, wai'up." He called, squirming as he eyes his companion's back, quickly disappearing over the rise ahead.
He grunted and slowed but made no other sign that he'd heard his traveling partner nor that he would comply with the other's wishes. "Keep cleaner and perhaps you would not have so many fleas, Flea." He called back, sounding in a rather foul mood. "You slow us down and I am getting down to my limits."

Running, running, running, that was all the teen did around her mother. The ebony and tan femme that was suppose to have had just as much energy as the teen when she was younger. Age had not been pleasant to Ralphina's mother, and that was obvious in the thinned femme.
"Maaah-ooom," she sighed trotting back towards the older femme. "Do you know where Shelby went?" Rally seemed to cry out in a hyper whinny way.
"Rally, I don't know what happened to you're sister, I wish I did. Any mother wants to know what happened to her babies, but your brother didn't tell me anything besides she was safe." The ebony and tan female stated with a tired voice, a voice that she hadn't been able to get rid of in the past seasons.
"We-llll," Rally sighed. Gold eyes shinning with that of undeniable youth and engery. Without even telling her father, or her other siblings, which hadn't crossed her paths in almost two seasons, the young femme had dragged her mother out of the pack's territory.
Kattana, Rally decided, needed to get air and the best way was this.
"Hun, slow down. You're old mother doesn't have as much energy as you do anymore," Kattana sighed and suddenly paused. Two fresh scents mingled before their noses and the femme was in no condition for a confertation, if that was necessary.
"Ralphina!" the mother growed to her adolt daughter to stop without question.

Flea laughed. "You tease." He stated, almost indifferently before shifting and getting a gleeful look about him as he seemed to hit the right spot with his paw. "Ah-ah, there we are.." He muttered softly before standing up and shaking off, trotting after him. "We'll ge' te her in time." He stated firmly, frowning slightly and then shaking it off.
No use in being sad about it, right? They were almost out of the forest and soon they would be back in their homelands, in the mountains.
Zen had been... even moodier than normal. His sister was dying and he couldn't seem to get that through Flea's head... it made him very upset. Flea and his sister were great friends... wasn't the male upset? He glanced back and when he saw the other was following he quickened his pace.
But before going very long he stopped dead, two females ahead a ways. Facing them. Crap, couldn't avoid them... A younger female and an older female. Friendly or fierce? He began to walk again, though slower and with his body slightly hunched. He avoided looking at them as he headed toward them.
Flea had run to catch up, tongue hanging from his mouth. Zen was dead wrong about how he felt... actually Zen was pretty horrible about reading other wolves and how the felt, he still didn't get Flea regardless they'd grown up together.
When his eyes landed on the pair ahead he glanced at Zen and nudged him. "Eh, no' hiding then?" He was teasing his friend, who preferred hiding away rather than dealing with stranger wolves.

Rally stopped and her tongue dipped out of her mouth as she panted abit. Her head was turned completely over her shoulder to looked at the sudden harsh tone that ment business with her mother. That tone wasn't phased by Kattana's everyday mental issues and it caused the tri-colored femme to look with more courisity then anything at her mother.
"Wha?" she asked, then ears twitching, the teen looked back before her. Two other wolves had popped up before them and one looked like her brother. Bitter and trying to avoid something, and just like her brother, Rally didn't know that it was them that the one wanted to avoid.
"Rally, don't you ma-haw..."
The teen bounded forward away from her mother not even hearing the three and a half words she spoke. "Hello!" the bright orange femme cheerfully called outwards.
Kattana, wide-eyed didn't know what these other wolves were like and here her daughter was running off blindly to greet them. Besides, if Kattana hadn't recognized that posture of the purple masked one, she wouldn't have known that they seemed to be in a hurry.
However, telling that to Rally was impossible. Head sinking back down towards the ground with rolling tired eyes, the younger femme really needed to loose her hyper side, but if she was truly like her mother, major trauma would have to happen to the orange/black/white femme as had happened to the ebony and tan one.

Zen groaned slightly and shuffled back as the teen bounded forward, actually moving himself behind Flea. If they had to talk to adults that was okay, sometimes and only when they really had to. But wolves younger than him made him very nervous.
Flea didn't mind Zen hiding behind him, he just grinned at the younger girl. "Hi there!" He said cheerfully, though stood still and completely neutral because he realized the older female must be the mother of the younger one. It amused him because he looked more like family with the wolf behind him than the two actual family members in front of him.
"And what's your name miss sunshine?" He chuckled slightly and beamed at the younger female, she was very up beat and happy. How Zen's sister used to be... it made his chest feel tight. He looked to the mother and offered her a friendly smile. "It's alright... we won't bite." He laughed again and glanced behind him. "Well some o' us migh'." He teased.

Tail wagging Rally saw that the other wolf seamed to be playing a game of hide-n-seek, that or cowering behind the other male, possibly his brother, like Wazaam use to do behind her father when they younger. Although, like most other things, Rally was easily distracted by the other male speaking to her.
Her tail swung back and forth in wide arches, wiggling her rump a tad with it, at the purple male's friendly tone. "I'm RALLY!" she spewed out quickly in her very chipper voice, "What are you called?"
Kattana padded up slowly, behind her daughter, raising her head a bit to listen to the male's proclaimation. "I'm sure, sorry about my daughter, I figure you all are in a..."
Rally interrupted her mother, oblivious to the words she was speaking. "This is my mommy, Kattana, she's been really sad and daddy thought she needed to get out of the pack for a bit."
"Rally," Kattana softly growled, "I think these nice gentlemeh.."
"Are you two siblings?" Rally continued to chirp out, not even hearing her mother's soft voice, or her mother's sigh of defeat. Talking to Ralphina at times was like talking to a very, very thick tree.

"Rally and Kattana! Both lovely names for lovely girls." His tail flicked as he beamed at the young female and winked. It seemed Flea was ignoring the mother as well for the time being. "I'm Flea and the scaredy-wolf behind me is Zen, but we aren't brothers."
Zen blinked and frowned at Flea's back, looking a little disgusted. Was the idiot actually flirting with that girl right in front of her mother? He groaned and moved beside his friend, nipping his ear. "Enough chat." He glanced to the adult and bowed his head. "Forgive him his brain is addled." He mumbled before looking to the younger girl. "We're in a hurry so Flea can't talk. Bye." He shot Flea a bold glance before moving past the two other travelers.
But Flea stood rooted to the spot, watching Zen leaving. He could always catch up... He just grinned at the two females.

Rally's tail wagged faster at the complement, she actually understood and heard that, "Why thank you," she chimed like a morning bell, though looking between the to males again, even with the deepening scowl on the one called...ummm...Zen, for Flea just said it.
"I'm sorry that you're not..." Rally was cut short at the sound of the other male speaking for the first time. How RUDE! How dare he say she couldn't speak to someone new. She looked towards her mother, but before she could make eye contact and back to Flea.
Seeing the impatience growing deeper in Zen's facial features, Kattana looked towards her daughter again, and rolled her golden eyes at the flirtatious complement. Oi, life could have been difficult if Rome showed up at that second.
At the words Zen spoke the ebony and tan femme nodded her head, "It's fine, but as you can tell my daughters isn't slow enough to exactly process everything." Then she heard his other statement. They were is a hurry and her daughter was holding them back.
Rally looked towards her mother, was she talking? Oh this was good news, excellent news that her daddy would love to hear. Mommy spoke with two traveling males.
"Rally!" Kattana growled trying to break into her daughter's thick skull, defiantly no denial for Rome on Ralphina as his daughter. "These good males are BOTH needing to go. So please let Flea leave with Zen," Kattana begged figuring that was the only way she would get Flea free from her mouthy daughter.
Looking back towards Flea, Rally shook her head, "But it doesn't look like Flea is as rude as the other male, he is friendly." The teen pouted with a puppy innocence. Completely oblivious to her mother's glare and mild shaking of the head.

Zen seemed to put the situation out of mind as he moved away. His thoughts were focused on his destination and they would remain there until he and Flea got there. It wasn't long now and it was important that they made good time, his sister's life depended on it!
Ah, the tension seemed to start running thick. Flea gave a nervous chuckle and bowed his head to the mother as she seemed to think he needed to go this instant. "Ah. Well.. probably should get going.." He trailed off and sighed, looking a little disappointed. He missed having good conversations!
"Well Rally." He grinned wide at her and bowed again. "Looks like the world is against us... but Zen is right, his sister is in desperate need of use getting to her. Maybe we'll see each other around, eh?" His tail swished a little and he started to move past the two females.

Bowing her head Kattana looked towards Flea, "I wish you two a swift travel and good luck on it."
Rally's ear welted, but she nodded her head, "Yes, and good luck with helping Zen's sister." Having one that she loved, the femme now felt a bit of sorrow for having held them up, if Shelby was in need of her help, Rally would be just as anxious to get her help. "I wish you the same good fortune my mother does."
