Somewhere in the Elephant Graveyard, primarily home to the Mava Bunda pack, geysers hissed and spewed. It was a land of decay, dark and imposing. The mists that hung around the massive bones of the elephants that came to die were lit by the very geysers creating the dusty mist. Eerie green light was everywhere. Raziel loved it. The gray and white hyena pup perched on an Elephant skull, inhaling the scents of decay. Bones everywhere, as well as stone outcroppings… For him, the one pup out of three to inherit their mother’s bone markings, it was the perfect camouflage.

Tai looked around, red eyes possitively dancing. It was an amazing place, it was! Having only ever been in the Pridelands, he was in awe at the utter gloom the Graveyard presented. Glancing back, he grinned at Haki. "Look at all this... Isn't it cool?" He looked back out across the bone yard, climbing on top of a tusk. "It's so gloomy, but..." His lilac ears were lifted, listening to everything around him. Far in the distance, a hyena called out, answered by the call of another. It was clear to the cub, they were not alone.

Jumping at the hiss of a geyser, Haki flattened his ears. "Right... Cool..." The cub looked around, not particularly liking the place they were in. It creeped him out, in all honosty. How could somebody think this was a GREAT place? The older cub yelped as a geyser hissed right behind him. If their parents found out... Oooh would they be dead!

The lilac and white pup snorted, hearing the fear in his friend's voice. "What, are you AFRAID? A few bones scaring you, Songbird?" He laughed loudly, climbing an elephant skull. "Come on, admit it, this place is great!" He looked back, red eyes flashing. "Or are you chicken? Baaawk..."

The deep brown cub's fur ruffled, blue eyes narrowing, as he was deemed afraid. "Me? Afraid? No way!" He'd show him, he'd show Tai... Going over to the elephant skull, he peeked in. "Think there's still brains in there...?" He looked up at the younger cub, blinking a little.

Sliding down, Tai peeked in as well. "One way to find out... You wanna go in first? You ARE the older one." While he was one to take risks, Tai wasn't one to get his paws messy. Not that kind of messy, anyway. The allure of an elephant skull, though... That was something worth looking into. With a small grunt, he shoved Haki towards it.

In his wanderings, he heard the yelp, as well as yelling and squeeling and other things. Curious, Raziel went to investigate. What he saw was something he'd never seen before. Were these the lions his mother had been telling him were evil and good for nothing? The things that needed to be killed on sight? He crept closer, taking them in.

What was the first sign that they weren't alone? The bones 'sang' differently. They had assured that, no, there were no brains in the elephant skull. Haki stopped, looking around. "Tai... I don't think we're alone..." The feeling of fear began to creep right back into his soul as he listened, trying to pinpoint where the newcomer was.

He puffed up, eyes narrow. Oh, was somebody stalking THEM? They'd made a mistake! At least, in his eyes. Bounding over and perching on a tusk, he puffed up his chest and... It wasn't much of a roar, really, as he was still a cub. It was very pathetic, indeed, and nothing like the booming roar of some of the adult male Pridelanders. Behind him, Haki only burst into laughter, earning a scathing look.

Deffinately lions... Raziel couldn't help laughing, though, at the pathetic little roar. Stepping out of the shadows, he swished his tail. "What, was that supposed to be a roar? Come on, I've heard dead elephants make louder noises than THAT!" Another laugh escaped, reverberating against the bones.

Fur ruffling, the cub only growled. "That was a great roar!" It needed work, though. A lot of work... He watched the stranger, trying to figure out just what it was. It was deffinately no hare, that was for sure. "What are you, anyway? Did a zebra and a rabbit have a baby to get your ugly hyde?"

It was Raziel's turn to ruffle as he growled deeply. "I, little... Whatever you are... Am a hyena." A grin spread across his face as he stepped closer. "And I'm told... No cat comes into our graveyard... And lives." Not that he could do much damage, though. But he was the alpha's grandson. He HAD to do her proud.

Haki bristled, eyes widening. "Tai, let's go, hyenas are bad news! They ATTACK lions!" The older cub tugged at the younger, trying to get him to move. But Tai's ego had been stabbed at, and that made him hard to move or convince to leave.

"I'm a LION, and YOU are going to pay for that!" With another pathetic attempt at a roar, Tai charged at the hyena. With a squeeling grunt, he ran into it, tumbling in the dust and bones. Claws bared, he did his best to maim.

An angry puppy whoop escaped as Raziel bared his teeth. With a flash, they attempted to sink into flesh. Being a pup, though, he still lacked the sharp teeth of his parents. But he still did his best, trying to to rip flesh apart. His claws, though, were able to dig in, doing their own brand of damage. "Filthy lion!"
