She had just finished patrolling the borders of the land, something that used to be a task Muroki took upon himself or shared with her, but he'd recently been injured in an ambush with the vultures. Dreadful birds, bearers of doom and sinister shadows of foreboding, they'd soon drive them out and back into their place...
Her thoughts had been heavy for a day or two now, but as they began to let up even the slightest bit, Johari pushed dark thoughts aside to think on what was best for the pride now. Many lost members and new faces had come, according to Muroki, and they each needed to be greeted properly and accounted for. That was where Johari now stepped in. She'd see to each creature getting a warm reception and finding their place among the others.
This pride would live again, it's two figureheads were far too determined to let this dream die a third time.

While Adanna had met a member of the pride, a maned wolf, fetching her lagging children and mate took longer then she thought. And getting to the acutal pride, from which she hadn't arrived in the first place, took longer still. So while she had thought they'd be joining the group much sooner it wasn't until much later that they would finally meet someone again.
Ada loped along the sands easily, glad to be back in familiar territory. The warmth was lovely, for she had never truely adjusted to the temperature of the pridelands or any other locations they visited. She didn't really think about how Nukta and her darker son might be uncomfortable in the change of climate. She kept her gaze on the horizon, despite the fact that it often wavered and blurred in the sun. But after days and days of sand seeing another creature stood out. There was a lioness ahead.
"Nukta! Someone's up there," she grinned, her ears perking attentively.

The black lion that was traveling with the orange female gave a grumble and shook more sand loose from his coat, once again cursing the hot sun as he clambered up the dunes trying to keep up while making sure their sons did the same. At one point he'd needed to carry them in his jaws just to keep pace with Adanna's fast walk. Honestly that girl...
"What of it?" He exhaled tiredly as he came to stand next to her, but heavens and Adanna knew he was just being grouchy. "This place is too damned hot." He muttered, staring ahead at the golden, sandy...? .... The figure approaching.

"It could mean we're finally here," Adanna insisted zealously, ignoring his complains. She usually only noted them for teasing purposes, since it was just how her mate was, but the excitement of perhaps finally reaching the desert pride of her family's origins...it had a stronger presence in her mind.
"I'm going to go see who it is," she asserted before throwing her limbs forward and dashing ahead, scattering bits of sand in the process.
