[ probably a hardly relevant title. xd ]
It had been a day since her last encounter with Mafa, and although her wounds from said encounter were slowly beginning to heal, the pain was woven into her every step as if the hyena's teeth were still sinking into her skin. She moved with a limp in her back leg where Mafa had dragged her teeth across, searching for a sign of water among the bones.
Finally, her green eyes fell on a stream of water in the distance. It was hardly significant; just a mere puddle that meandered a few feet in length from the last rain, and that was quickly being stollen from by the burning sun overhead. But insignificant as it was, Kelello sighed in relief at the sight of it. She hadn't touched food nor water for atleast two days, and probably wouldn't have cared to look even now if she hadn't felt a tiny movement - just a small twitch - in her abdomen to remind her that she had to keep living, if not for herself, for someone else.

The day had been long and annoying so far. There was no one about to play with, and Erevu's stupid brothers were too busy taking naps. Pathetic! With his ears pinned down to the top of his head, the hyena pup merely wandered about, hoping to find something to do.
"No one to play with.. No girls to flirt with.. No one to steal from... Gah! I need SOMETHING to do already!"
Just as he angered himself even more with that comment, an odd color caught his eye. It wasn't the type of color that you saw everyday here int he Graveyard, so it stood out a lot more than most other colors would have. Orange... With.. Brown, maybe? Curious now, Erevu turned his body in the direction of the orange and brown... Stuff. It looked like a hyena... Sort of.. But it didn't at the same time. What the heck was that?

Kelello lowered her head over the water, lapping thirstily. After these past fews days, she'd nearly forgotten how good the feel of cool water running down her throat was; how reguvinating, like she was finally being sparked back into life. When she finally pulled away, the water where her tongue had last collided was shimmering, and she studied this with awe for a moment, realizing that the simplest things brought her joy in this life. That was one thing those hyenas would never understand.
As the water settled, she looked at it more closely. She recognized her own reflection in the water, though the eyes that looked back at her seemed so old that it had taken her a moment to realize it. But then there was a flicker of darker brown from somewhere in the distance, just dancing there in the water. Certainly not her. Nearly as soon as she noticed it, she could hear something.. a voice, rambling.
The young wild dog spun around in surprise, and at that moment her eyes fell upon a hyena pup. For a moment she stood in shock, before shamefully lowering her head in a gesture of submission. Although it was just a pup, it was still a hyena, and still her superior.
"Greetings," she muttered.

Having been slowly making his way over to the orange and brown... Thing... Erevu has slowly begun to notice that it definitely wasn't some hyena. No.. It was smaller than a hyena, and it seemed very thin, almost frail. The pup cocked his head to the side, hie ears sprung forward. He heard the lapping of water, and simply came to the conclusion that she was drinking from the body of water that boldy ran through the pack's territory.
Then, out of nowhere, the thing stopped and turned around, and Erevu was finally able to see what it really was. A female wild dog, and a rather beautiful one at that. With a smirk filling itself in over his dark gray muzzle, the pup stood up proud and tall, showing off his white chest that neither one of his brothers had obtained.
"Why hello there, you fine thing, you." He slowly did a little waltz over to her, making sure to take precise steps so he wouldn't make a fool of himself. "What are you doing in a place like this, and why do you lower your head to me? It's not like I own you or anything... Gosh!" He smirked and came to a halt about 3 feet away from the female, his silver eyes watching her rather intently.
