Cassius pulled his head up from the watering hole, the flock of cranes that were standing silently in the water squaked and shot into the air in a flurry of white feathers. It was clear that something wasn't quite right but what it was he couldn't place. "Hush now~..." He growled to what seemed no one in particular.
"Hmm?.." He perked his ears backwards at the sound of several small pebbles falling from the rocks behind him.

The pink pelted Lioness gave a soft yawn as she walked, dragging her paws through the sanded grounds. The grass seemed to grow from the sandy earth, though she knew under the sand, there would be soil. Dirt.
Her scarlet crimson orbs blinked as the sun was blindingly bright, and irritably warm. But she shrugged, and figured eventually it wouldn't bother her.
These lands were much different than the ones she had come from, but she pressed on, in dire search of a watering hole.
Every place has a watering hole, surely this wasn't the only stupid area on the map!
Her tail flicked, and she sniffed, closing her eyes and throwing her head to the wind.
"Well..I smell...nothing."

Cassius whipped his tail lightly back and forth as he bounded onto the peak of the rock nearest the watering hold and watched as the lioness attempted to ignore the irritation of the hot sun. He smiled lightly though as he waited for her to take notice in his presence. However she looked the type to not care whether he was there or not, at least it would give him the brief moment of introductions to attatch a name to her delicate face.

Adalae smelled the other.. Though her bright eyes could not focus on any particular thing. This day was most definately hot, and she was just so thirsty now.
She flicked her tail, and trudged on. But her nose raised in the air, and she sniffed again.
"Hello?" She called, knowing someone was out there. She'd much rather be aware of someone else, than let them sneak up on her and possibly hurt her.
"I demand you show yourself!"
Adalae had been looking for some companionship as of late.. She was very alone, and wanted nothing more than to have someone to talk to.
Thats what she hoped this fellow would be, if he would ever show himself.'
"Please? I think Im lost." She called again, her voice almost echoing.

Cassius raised a brow and jumped down from his place on the rock near her. "Oh? and where do you come from that you might be lost?" He placed a paw to the ground and moved back in a bow. "I'm Cassius, how can I help you today?"

She jumped away a bit as he jumped from the rock. She let out a little squeal and her eyes were wide. "Oh!"
She flicked her tail, her eyes returning back to normal.
"I come from..Somewhere far away.. " She didn't offer that her father had left her and she'd been forced to travel on her own. She wasn't used to traveling alone, and she hated it. One day she'd belong to some kind of pride.. Cause that might mean she would have someone to talk to..
"My name is Adalae.. Or.. Addie to my friends, assuming I had any. Nice to meet you Cassius."
One point for him. The bow was definately impressive. Way to start off on the right paw.
"Im..Im looking for the water hole."

"Ah!" He pointed over his shoulder, "It's just over behind this rock, though how you missed it I'm not sure" He studied her carefully before turning around to lead her to the watering hole. "So you come from far away? How far?" He blinked with curiousity.

Her pink cheeks burned a new ruby color as she blushed and shook her head.
"Oh I dont know." She said kicking the dirt slightly.
"I can't seem to find anything 'round here."
She shifted her weight, and walked with him around the rock, to see the watering hole. Her eyes widened, and she shook her head in defeat.
"Oi, and it strikes again. "
She flicked her tail and looked back at him.
"Oh I dunno how far.. Ive been walking for days.. I'd say many..many miles."

"Oh? Well I come from near the North Rockies past the pride lands for several weeks. Though I haven't lived there for years. I wander, that's almost all I do." He chuckled as the shade of her cheeks burned in embarrassment and he brought his face very close to hers. "Do you think it would be alright if I stayed by your side..." He strode past her and to the edge of the watering hole. "Just for a brief conversation or two if you wouldn't mind." He gave her a slyed grin.

Her eyes widened as he came close to her, and pushed his face to hers. She squeaked, and her eyes grew wide, her heart fluttering.
"Well..." She stammered, trying to smooth out her sentences.
"Thats amazing. I wish I knew where I was from.. Really.."
She looked at him, and shivered a bit. He was the handsome type, and she hoped that he'd stick around longer than just a conversation. She lowered her eyelids and sighed.
"Oh please do walk with me. And please make it longer than a few conversations, or I couldnt stand it." She said, and bit her tongue.. Oh what had she just said..
"Im sorry!" She said, eyes wide.

He laughed with a faint growl to his tone.
"As you wish my little princess Addie." he lowered his body to the ground and covered his forepaw with the other looking at her. "So you don't know where you come from, you have little sense of direction.." He sniggered but as to not anger her he retorted; "You better be careful throwing your beauty around like you do though, or else you may not find someone else as capable of repressing their needs such as myself.

His growl along with such a nice laugh, made her insides melt, and she stammered, her face turning red with her blush again.
"Oh my. " She giggled slightly. "Princess Addie? I think I like that." She said smiling, and lowering her eyelids, to look seductively at him.
"Needs? You are repressing needs right now?" Her eyes returned to normal, and her ears perked, as she raised her head a bit. She stepped close to him, and lowered her head.
"You think Im beautiful?" Well.. SHe knew she was.. But if he knew.. Then she may just have to keep him around.

"Perhaps I'm surpressing needs, but perhaps it's too soon to say." He winked at her as he got up from his spot. "Though you are beautiful it's best to not complicate things at this moment. We just met after all" He said as he turned his head to look back at her. His ears perked upright and the sound of several feet running along the ground pulled his attention from her.

Well that was odd.. He lead her on, then dropped her cold. She cocked her head, and wondered if it was possible to rethink every thought she had just been considering. What had she been thinking?
She'd been thinking she was alone.. Thats what she'd been thinking. She took a sigh, and gave a nod.
"Well thanks.. I appreciate teh compliment."
Her eyes had changed, and she worried that she had gone on a little too strong.. She felt so.. Retarded for her actions now.
"I apologize for my.. Boldness. I was thinking--." She stopped and shook her head.
"So how long you lived here?"

"Shh!" He scolded her as he lowered himself to the earth. Along the fields a group of young lions treked through in a rambuncious manner. Wooping and fighting with each other, Just young ones... He turned to Addie and smiled. "Forgive me, I don't mean to be so harsh with you. I'm not a good socialist and when it comes to women well, I've let's just say I've been told off one too many times." The pride of lions was moving closer and getting louder, the timing of their appearance made Cassius wonder but he resumed their conversation.
