So today I put a bid on something worth about 10000G that didn't have any other bids.
It had 5mins to go and I was winning with 500G.
The person then cancelled the item sad
I don't get it... if they weren't willing to accept the minimum bid why make the start bid 5G > sad
It's so annoying!!

I agree! i have had that happen to me too. I was the highest bidder and within minutes of the end..I got cancelled! I can sortof understand that they don't want to sell the item for less than they want//but they shouldn't put a really low bid to start!

sad It's really annoying.
It's worse that it seems to have happened to many people sad
I also bidded on something else yesterday and it was going well... then someone else bought the item lol... I have no luck with the bidding.

I have never tried the bidding- I always buy and sell outright
I dont think I will try if it is that much of an annoyance! lol

I agree, that is annoying. I think they changed the rules recently though, didn't they? You can't cancel a bid if the time is less than 5 minutes. AT least I think that's what I read somewhere. I could be totally wrong...it has occasionally been known to happen.

I didn't know you could cancel bids...I thought you just had to wait it out to see if you got it or not....

Yeah that was annoying when they did that; that's good they have change the rules when it come to bidding that way they don't just cancel it and actually think how much is their starting bid will be.
