I hope it's an evolving item.
I have no proof it is, the clock suggests change over time, while the egg is a common motif of evolving items. The Easter Bunny has been interested in the latest things in the past; his Carrot Plushy is the only holiday housing item.

I think it's another soot face explosion to get back at all of us gaians for not paying enough homage to the easter bunny then santa.
