Clouds of dark gray blanketed the sky; the wind was strong and the tree tops swayed. The brightness that once was, dulled to paint the world in a dim dusk. The world was dead quiet, the only sounds coming from the rustling trees and plants. It wasn't a very pleasant atmosphere to say the least, unless you liked stormy weather, but among the dull surroundings was a speck of color. A quick blur of colored life trying to break free from it's dark prison. It wasn't very bright as it tried to fight the glum all around but was failing. A pastel rainbow colored ulaya male was running through the forest trying to find shelter before the rain fell. The ulaya's rainbow color wasn't a match for the gray that was closing in on him. He original brightness, which wasnt all that bright to begin with, started to fade.

Heavy panting and the sound of quick paws thumping the ground echoed through the forest. The panting was loud and desperate so it could easily be assumed that the ulaya was running for a while. Aazon finally grew tired but still tried his hardest to find a spot before a drop of rain fell but he ran out of stamina and slowed. Within moments the skies opened up and a wall of rain fell. The ulaya became soaked rather fast.

With ears against his head Aazon started to walk. Hoping to find a cave or tree that he could find shelter in before the situation got worse. His pompom tail started to droop and water droplets fell slid from the tip of his horn to his nose.

Thunder and lightning crackles started a distance away from where Aazon was but not before long it would be right above him.

Spaz shivered, and shook the water off his, now soaked, coat. He wasn't aware that it was going to rain today. But it smelled of rain just before the rain fell. Or maybe for awhile before. Spaz wasn't really paying attention. Rather, he was hiding from his sister, who'd find him no matter where he went. He felt the weight of water again as the rain continued on. Spaz walked on quickly, his eyes scanning, ever weary of the occasional roll of thunder.

As he walked he came across a cave's opening, in the foot of a cliff, at the edge of a forest. He had been walking around it, for fear of going amongst the trees during a storm. Spaz made his way inside, and hovered only a few feet just out of reach of the falling rain. Although it was plenty dark in the cave, Spaz's neon stripes and spots seemed to glow with a light of their own. And so he sat, somewhat glowing on his own, and waited for the storm to let up.

Aazon continued to walk on in search of a place to hide. He dreaded the rain. Well, maybe not the rain exactly but the entire thunder and lightning that came along with the rain. The loud rumbling of the thunder hurt his ears, as well did the lightning crackles. Plus I guess deep down he always had the silly fear of his horn attracting lightning.

He grew near the forest's edge and saw the field in front of him. He couldn't decide whether it was safer for him to be in the forest or out in the open field. He ran through the possibilities in his head and found no answer. With a light sigh of annoyance he looked around. In the distance he saw something glow. Or atleast it looked like something glowing, it could be his imagination for all he knew being how tired he was. It looked like it wasn't moving. Why would anything/one sit still in the rain? Unless the thing wasn't being rained on.

Coming to the conclusion that he'd see what it was he started to walk towards the mysterious thing. As he grew closer to it he saw that there was a cave there. Becoming anxious that there was someplace to hide he started to run. Around 10 feet from the caves opening Aazon stopped. His eyes found another ulaya sitting in the cave. It must have been him that was glowing from a distance. The bright colors of the other were quite intense and eye catching in the dark cave so it was understandable that they were seen from so far away. Aazon slowly walked inside the cave and sat down, still watching the other in case he was interrupting and should leave. Also that the intense colors were hard to look away from.

Spaz shivered in the dark cave. Alone and cold he laid down to wait for the rain to let up. He let out a sigh, and shivered again from the cold. He admitted he was lost and cold, but it hurt his pride to admit he was lonely. His thoughts were interrupted when he realized he wasn't alone. His heart jumped to his throat as he slowly rose to his feet. He kept his eyes on the other. He wasn't sure what the others intentions were, and it made him uneasy.
