With as much haste as he could manage, Elliot found himself rushing through the clearing and towards the lake. His mother had told him that Anna stopped by with something important to tell him. Although he whined and pleaded that she tell him what, his mother refused to say, but told him where he could find his loved one. Supposedly Annabelle had left a message with his mother saying she'd be in a very secluded area, one of which he only knows about, waiting for him to get there. The only place that came to mind was the cave behind the falls that she had shown him quite some time ago.
His heart thumped and his wings fluttered madly as Elliot zoomed up the rocks and maneuvered himself rather gracefully up into the cave. His only thoughts were of Anna and if something bad were to happen. Or worse; something bad did happen to his beloved! Frustration towards his mother swam around his mind as he finally reached the edge of the cave, peeking in for any site of his Annabelle.

Annabelle was indeed found in the safety of that cave. She hadn't wanted to wait around for him at his house, it was still strange to her, especially with a mother that wasn't her own. This seemed like the most logical place, since her home wasn't comfortable either. Not with her mother fawning over her and the eggs and her father staring in disbelief that one of his children had grown up, his youngest child, in fact. It was just not a place where she could sit and figure this out.
Protectively, she drew the two eggs towards her, cradling them in her lap. The crystals of the cave were understanding, though; they didn't glow with the pinky red of lovers, instead, they basked Anna and the two pale eggs in a soft yellow light. Her mind raced as she wondered how long it would be 'till Elliot found his way here. Surely it would be the first place he would come after reaching home. And surely his mother would have kept her word and not breathed a syllable of her secret.
Soon enough though, there was a disturbance in the water of the falls and Elliot came bursting through. Had it not been for the packages in her lap, she would have jumped up and greeted him with a rather large hug and a kiss. Instead, she simply motioned for him to come to her, for he certainly couldn't see from there the two eggs.

"Anna," he instantly breathed with a bit of relief, seeing her there. At least he would now know what was going on! Slowly Elliot headed towards her with inspecting eyes, hoping that she was alright and nothing was wrong. She seemed in good health though somewhat tired as he settled down next to her, not once taking his eyes away from hers. "Tell me," he started, still breathless from his hurried trip, "What is going on? I was worried something bad had happened, something you were afraid to tell mother. Unless of course she just wouldn't tell me..."
His scattered brain raced around, trying to come up with a plausible explanation for all the secrecy. Without another word, he put his arm around her and pulled her towards him, kissing her forehead as he did. "Oh, I'm sorry for the rambling. I was just so worr--," he stopped mid sentence, noticing something he didn't before.
Anna was holding something out of his view.
Slowly Elliot pulled back at peered at her, then her arms, trying to figure out what exactly she had. "Anna?..."

She let out a weak laugh; she was tired. It had been a long few days since she'd last seen Elliot. Her tail curled carefully around his, a smile resting on her lips. "I'm fine, just a bit sleepy." As if to prove this point, she leaned over carefully and kissed his nose before yawning. The wings on her back fluttered nervously as she watched his eyes fall to her arms.
"And your mother knew; I asked her not to tell you though. I wanted to be the one to tell you..."
Anna's paws trembled with nerves and eyes brimmed slightly with tears. She wasn't sure why she felt like crying, but she'd felt like that for a while. Well, since the arrival of the eggs. It wasn't because she was sad, or unhappy about them in the least. It just was. With gentle paws, she lifted the eggs from her own lap and set them in Elliot's.

Being around Anna was a comfort Elliot had never known before he met her. Now it was a mixture of comfort and relief as he was so close to her. The only disturbance was the fact that something was different, and for the life of him, he couldn't figure out what.
The moment she lifted the two little objects into his lap, Elliot felt his heart pound. Although he had seen a few others carrying eggs around, it was nothing like peering on his own, in this very moment. Or at least, he hoped like hell they were his, considering they looked like a combination of his and her colors.
"Oh, Anna..." he sighed happily, both joyous for her safety and for this surprise. "They're beautiful." A tear slipped down his cheek as he scooted himself closer to her, as close as he could. Carefully he slipped one arm around her again, and used the other to keep the eggs where they lay. Turning his gaze towards her face, he smiled and then kissed her. Not once or even twice, but many times. "You are an amazing yet torturous female, you know," he said with a sly grin. "You don't even want to know how worried I was..." His words went quiet as he nuzzled her cheek and kissed her again. Elliot couldn't really say much else as he was still engulfed in both shock and joy.

The tears flowed freely down her cheeks now as Elliot kissed her over and over, nuzzling her. It was all she could wish for; someone who loved her in ways that she couldn't begin to understand, someone who was thrilled to have eggs with her. Her paw carefully adjusted the bow atop one of the eggs, careful not to disturb the stars floating around the other. Not only were they their eggs, these children had been blessed.
"I'm so sorry Elliot. I wanted to tell you sooner, but I was just a mess when they got here. You should have seen me. So when I finally got any nerve, I told your mother where I would be. I knew you'd come too."
Her shoulders shook as she curled to his body, arching over the eggs, but wrapping her arms around Elliot's neck. "I'm sorry. I'm so silly, crying like this..." She sat up ever so slightly to wipe her eyes. "I am happy, really, despite all the waterworks!" Again, she let out a soft laugh. "This is such a Jeslyn thing to do. Not the having egg thing, but the crying over something like this!"

Elliot was half tempted to poke one of the stars floating around the one egg, but he resisted the urge and instead snuggled his love once more. "Shhh, it's okay, Anna," he said quietly, kissing the tip of her nose. "Everything is alright now, especially since I'm here." Not only was he trying to cheer her up, but in his heart he felt it was true. They now had their own little ones to look after, their own family. It was a whole new part of life Elliot knew, but with Anna by his side, he knew everything would in fact be alright.
"Now now," he finally said, raising her chin slightly to look into her eyes. "One day you'll see that you won't always have to talk about your sister that way; comparing yourself to her. You shouldn't worry about it so much considering you're the only one I see, and the only one I want." Again he nuzzled her, then looked down at the lovely eggs. "As if they aren't proof enough!" he said with such admiration in his voice. "Mother said it's normal for females to cry at random times, especially their happiest moments. So I believe you when you say you're happy." With a little wink, he then kissed her once more and then leaned back slightly against the cave wall.
The cool crystal mounted inside the walls felt comforting against his wings and back. Suddenly, a whole new train of thoughts came to mind, causing a few wrecks along the way. "You know...Now that we have our own family, there's a lot of changes to be made," he said quietly, staring across to the other wall of glowing crystals. Then a smile appeared.
"I especially like the thought of having our own peaceful home," he cooed, grinning from ear to ear.

A smile crossed her lips, not fading this time as she leaned back with Elliot, making sure the eggs were safe in the process. Her head rested on his shoulder as she listened to him speak. His voice was just so soothing to her; well, not really just his voice, it was everything about him. Anna just felt so safe and complete when she was near him. As he finished his sentence, though, she came out of her drifting thoughts.
"A home? Just for us?" Eyes lighting up, she looked over to him, a grin just as large as his on her face. "I suppose it would be better, having our own home just for us and our children. But there's so much to do! We'd have to find a home, get the children's rooms ready! We'll never manage in time!" Letting out a rather baffled sigh, she once again let her paws brush the surface of the two eggs. They were so warm and full of life; Anna didn't want to wait to see what was inside of them. Her childre-no, not her children, their children.
"I mean, do you think we can?" She had to take a moment to get herself calmed down, for fear of breaking into tears over nothing again. Her breaths became more steady and even as she looked carefully at the eggs. How could they have become so lucky? Two beautiful eggs, blessed by demi-goddesses. They would be such lovely children.

Following Anna's gaze down to the eggs made Elliot grin even more. Listening to her words about a home for them and their children made his heart flutter. A small chuckle escaped as a subtle thought passed through his mind. 'And to think that I used to be the one who worried way too much.'
"Yes, Anna. A home just for us and our children. It would be perfect!" Raising one arm out in front of him, he began mentally planning it all out. "Depending on where we want to live...We'll find the most lovely house. I'm a sucker for cottages since I was raised in one, but anything would be fine. We'll have it painted up and set up to our family's needs." A pleasant sigh escaped as he used a single finger to trace the outline in the air. "Our room shall be near the top; maybe even a loft! Our own get away, since I hear it's needed once in a while with children. Right below, the closest they can be, will be our children's rooms. Downstairs will of course have a kitchen and a room to bathe in..."
On and on he babbled, just as he used to when he got nervous. But instead it was a rambling filled with happiness. The only thing that pulled him out of his thoughts for a moment was her question. 'Do you think we can?' she asked. "Well, of course I do, Anna," he said finally in a reassuring tone. "To be honest," he started while turning his gaze towards hers. "I think we can do anything together." And with that he gave her yet another kiss, but this time a long, gentle one absolutely filled with love.

"That just sounds so lovely, Elliot," she whispered when their lips finally parted. Her bright blue eyes still threatened to water up again, but for now, they just glistened in the soft light of the cave. Anna could almost see their future home as he described the cottage. "Maybe a nice place out near the ocean..." After a second thought on that, she changed her mind. "Or in the safe parts of the woods?"
As she settled down, Anna curled around the eggs protectively, laying her head on Elliot's leg. A small yawn escaped her lips. The days had been long and tiring, and the eggs hadn't even hatched. She could only imagine how tiring things would get once they did. But oh how lovely it would be to have a family. A lovely little family, with a lovely little Pure, and a lovely little life.
"I love you, Elliot." Even though her last train of thought had slipped away as she became sleepy, this one followed through, loud and clear in the jumbled up thoughts she was having. That was the one constant that kept her sane right now, with the dizzying thoughts of a home and children and a real family. "More than you could ever know." The lack of sleep was obvious in her voice as she lay there, fighting to keep her eyes open and focused on her love.

"I'll be happy anywhere you are, Anna," he said quietly, telling her the absolute truth. As long as he was with her and able to take care of his own little family, he would be happy. His tail wiggled itself so that it partially wrapped around Anna's waist, covering her legs for warmth. The soft glow certainly added to the moment, making it seem as if it was a dream. "But we'll have to think about it and decide," he said smiling. "I'm not sure how long until they hatch, but it certainly can't be forever."
Elliot listened to her words as well as her soft breathing and, so he thought, her heartbeat in sync with his. He could sense that she was drifting, getting to the brink of sleepiness in which she couldn't ignore for much longer. Carefully, he moved himself so that she could lay against him a little more comfortably, so that her head was right above his heart. "There we go," he whispered, then started playing with her hair, brushing it from her face. "Rest if you need to, Anna. I'll watch over you and our eggs."
The random 'I love you' coming from her lips made his heart thump extra loudly for a bit. "I love you too, Anna," he replied, completely overjoyed by the life that was now unfolding before him. Again he whispered, "I love you too."

All she remembered was falling asleep in Elliot's arms. And it had been the best dang sleep she'd gotten in a few days. But something wasn't quite right now. The crystals of the cave flickered a bit brighter as Annabelle stirred, shaking the haze of sleep from her mind. Her eyes fell first on her mate, who had also drifted to sleep, and then to the eggs that he was curled around.
The eggs!
Instantly, her mind was icy clear as she noticed the cracks in the eggs. The stars around one of them were going crazy, zipping around. They seemed almost as confused as Anna did.
"Elliot! Wake up!"

The sudden, loud voice that rang through his ears caused Elliot to sit right up instantly. It was only by instinct that his arms wrapped around the eggs as he did so that they didn't fly off of his lap. When he looked down at their eggs, he was actually shocked that his instincts were coming in handy already. Though, taking a harder look, he finally noticed the cracks and his face suddenly went pale.
"Anna!" he shouted, not realizing she was up first. "The eggs! I didn't break them, did I?" His voice was so filled with worried, as was his face. Certainly he would feel horrible if he did something such as break the eggs!
He turned back just in time to see a little paw peak out from the egg surrounded by two little star minions.

"No...Elliot, you didn't break them. I think..." Anna paused, watching the tiny paw in awe. "I think they're hatching!" Her voice was full of joy and excitement as she shifted around him so that the two cracking eggs lay between them. She couldn't help but to reach out and touch the paw softly with her own. It was the first thing she'd seen of their children.
Only moments later, the other egg produced a tail and it seemed to happen in only a minute that two tiny babies lay sprawled on the ground amidst the shells. One sported feathery wings like her daddy, the wings of pure, and the other, surrounded by shooting stars, had wings like Anna's. Anna couldn't believe it.
"They're beautiful." Her eyes shifted from Elliot to one girl to the other and back, but her gaze always held a look of total adoration and love. "And they're ours..." Voice soft, she scooped the two children up, offering one of them to her mate.

Elliot watched in amazement as their children emerged from their eggs. Two little girls then lay between them, looking as cute as ever. As Anna held out the little white and blue haired girl to him, he took her gently into his arms and snuggled her close. She was just like Anna, but with a mixture of his colors as well. Lightly, he brushed his lips against her forehead just as a single tear streaked down his cheek.
"They're...so beautiful," he said with a bit of a stutter, entranced in awe. His eyes focused on his mate as she cuddled the other daughter, who seemed to be so much like himself. He reached a paw over to her to gently brush her cheek, then looked back up at Anna. "Well, this is certainly one exciting way to wake up," he whispered with a bit of a giggle. "I'm sure there are going to be plenty more of awakenings, hmm?"
A little paw reached up to rub one eye as the other tugged on her a male's fur. She could barely open her eyes, being just born, but she could tell she was in safe hands. Both her mother and father were right here, as well as her sister. A very slight smile appeared on her lips as she rolled over slightly, snuggling into her father's arms.
"Oh Anna, what are we going to name them?" he asked, staring at the little one curling up against him with a big smile and bright eyes.
