Cobalt was dozing on the ground, leaning back against a tree. His arms crossed in front of his chest, his back-legs were curled around in front of him, blocking the sunlight from hitting his delicate eyes. He had left his blindfold in a moment of forgetfulness, so had his wild hair combed in front of his face in addition to the sunblockers his legs were doubling as.
Shifting slightly, a root digging into his back, Cobalt's doze was a light one, relfexes from being part spider and easily agitated. He wasn't expecting to meet anyone, so he wasn't paying the greatest attention to his surroundings.

As carefree as she was, Tootsie wandered around mindlessly while nibbling on a bit of chocolate as well as swinging around a little basket. Her sweet tooth had yet again controlled her into making little chocolate candies for the whole household. It was a good thing a roommate had stopped her before she made some for the entire neighborhood! Instead, she packed up a bit for herself and headed out to enjoy some fresh air for a while. Of course, the little basket she carried not only included chocolates, but cupcakes and brownies too!
Too busy daydreaming about her goodies, she almost didn't notice the white fae resting against the dark trees. Though, this certain figure was very peculiar, almost oddly shaped even. Determined to figure out exactly what it was, she skipped along the edge of the trees to get a closer look.

Cobalt shifted as he heard the skipping footsteps of another kat approaching, as well as what sounded like creaking whicker, or maybe a basket being swung around. He also smelled something sweet from them. Slowly cracking his eyes open, he watched her from the corner of his vision, not turning his head so he still appeared napping.
She was almond colored, sort of, like a candy, and wearing a small amount of clothing. Granted, he only had on black board shorts, but still. She seemed curious of him, so he decided to pretend to keep sleeping, to see what she might do when confronted with what some would call a monster.

Tootsie didn't notice any movement from the strange figure before her, so she slowed her pace and tiptoed up next to him. Tilting her head, she took in the creature's appearance carefully, but shrugged it off as simply unique. Chaos made each living thing as she wished so that everything had a purpose. At least, that's what she believed. So, obviously there was a reason for his...spider-like features? Certainly different, but also so cool, in her opinion.
As close as she was now, she realized the figure was not breathing as deeply as one should while sleeping. Squinting her eyes and cracking a smile, Tootsie thought the creature was pretending to sleep. 'So silly,' she thought to herself, then giggled quietly into her paw. Carefully she sat herself down next to him and smiled again, hoping he wouldn't mind being "awakened". "Ahem, excuse me sir?" she asked quietly, reaching a paw into her basket. "Do you happen to like sweets?"

Cobalt let his eyes inch open, turning his head to gaze at the kat who had decided to "wake" him. She didn't seem to care about the furred legs and claws, or was at least pretending not to. Watching her as she stuck a paw into the basket she carried, he smelled the sugary flavors wafting from the basket.
"I've never had sweets." He said simply, his voice quiet and raspy, the smallest of frowns on his face.

"How can you not have had sweets before?!" Tootsie practically shouted, instantly stunned. "Oh, now you're in for it." A playful smile appeared as she dug into her basket for a chocolate, a cupcake, and a brownie. The regular also pulled out a cloth to place them on for the strange fae. "Please, do at least try one. It's quite silly not to!" Treats were her specialty and poor Tootsie could hardly bare the thought of not having any at all.
"This one is chocolate--;" she said, pointing to it, "--this, a cupcake, mainly chocolate as well, with a peanut buttery icing; and this is a brownie." She smiled then nudged the sweets forward, waiting to see if he would take a bite. While she did, she looked him over once more now that she could get a better look at his face, almost. Once she calmed down from the initial shock, she then asked, "What's your name?" Obviously, formality wasn't one of her strong points, though she could use a bit of teaching in that area...

The demi watched her in amusement as she immediately started bustling about setting out sweets for him, all energy and excitement. As she started placing the candies and pastries on the small blanket, he leaned forward slightly, reaching to grab the chocolate as she asked his name.
Leaning back again, he shrugged his shoulders slightly, repositioning his back-legs to cover the sunlight on his face again. "You can call me Cobalt." He said softly, a tiny smile pulling up the corner of his lips. "Yours?"

The Regular happily clapped her paws together quietly as he picked up a chocolate. "My name's Tootsie, cute and sweet just for me." She couldn't help giggling at herself before turning to her basket and pulling out a brownie. When she faced him again, she unintentionally blurted out, "You're a little...different, aren't you? Were you born that way? Can you do anything special with those extra legs?"
Now she was fully intrigued, almost tempted to poke one of the spidery legs covering his face. Instead, she held her urge back and just awaited some answers. Tootsie was not the most...reserved girl either, but she tried her hardest not to seem rude. Quickly she added in, "Sorry, you don't have to answer if you don't want to..."

Cobalt nibbled on the chocolate, his eyes widening in surprise at the sweet taste. "This is... Good." He said, giving her a smile again as he took a larger bite. There was so much he had yet to experience...
And at last, the questions. They always came, but he was used to it now. It wasn't as if a lot of kats looked similar, so it wasn't a surprise. "Nothing particularly special..." He said, trailing off as he uncurled his legs from around his body, two hooking into the bark of the tree trunk above him, the other two resting on the ground. Still eating the chocolate, almost as if not even noticing his back-legs, he pulled himself up, his legs hanging an inch or two off the ground as his back-legs held all his weight with ease.
"I don't mind." He said simply.

Instantly Tootsie's eyes mimicked Cobalt's, lighting up with glee as he enjoyed the chocolate. "I told you, such sweet things are good for everyone! I've got plenty more if you'd like," she spoke quickly before the other decided to speak once more. She felt sort of sorry since she noticed something changed in him, as if he had been repeatedly asked about his appearance. 'Well, with one such as his own, who wouldn't ask?' He was unusual, which interested Tootsie, but mostly impressed her.
As his spider-like legs braced themselves and picked his figure up off the ground, Tootsie gasped in surprise. She wasn't frightened in the slightest, but more or less figured that's what his extra limbs were used for. "Amazing, really!" she exclaimed, curling her tail up and into her lap. "I don't know how you can say that's not so special. I find it quite useful, actually." Then, of course, her mind lingered to the sweet side... "Imagine how many sweets I could make at once with a few extra limbs. I'd be all over the kitchen, and so quickly too!" She giggled and smiled up to Cobalt before taking a bite of her brownie.

His smiled widened slightly as she only expressed interest in the practicality of his extra limbs, not the hairiness or creepiness of them. Lowering himself back down, he folded his legs indian style while finishing off the chocolate. He hesitantly took one of the brownies, biting into it to find it tasted better then the small chocolate.
"So, is this what you do? Make sweets?" Cobalt asked; the specialties and hobbies of others were always the greatest subject of interest to him, whose talent was the same as all his siblings.

Giggling quietly, Tootsie immediately answered, "Yes, making sweets happens to be a specialty of mine. Of course, it doesn't seem all that great, really, but it means a lot to me." The regular reached her hand into her basket and pulled out a cupcake, and began eating it by licking off all the icing. When she swallowed the first bit, she cleared her throat to say, "Of course, I keep plenty busy with the large variety of things I can make."
Pointing the the cupcake she was eating, she explained that it was also chocolate, which was the tastiest part of any treat. "The cocoa bean from which chocolate is made is an amazing thing. I can't quite remember the first bit of chocolate I had, but I know mother had made it and it was the best." A long sigh escaped her lips as she silenced and nibbled on the cupcake some more.

"Don't underestimate it, something small can make people happier then something big." Cobalt said, a small smile still present. That was probably the longest sentence he'd said in awhile, not that it wasn't true or anything. "At least you're never bored with it, right?" He wasn't quite bored with his own domain, but there wasn't usually much of a call on him, so he generally had alot of free time.
At her wistful expression while talking about the chocolate, he couldn't help but let out a laugh. It wasn't loud, and if Tootsie wasn't paying attention she probably wouldn't hear it; it sounded vaguely like paper rustling. "Did you learn to make sweets to follow your mother?"

"Bored?" Tootsie tilted her head and smiled in amusement. "To me, nothing about sweets is boring. Or at least, making them certainly doesn't bore me." She continued to nibble on her cupcake, but only for a moment. The thought of her mother crossed her mind quickly, and she went quiet.
After a few moments of silence had passed, she finally replied, "In a way, yes. I suppose you could say that." Her words quieted as she finished her sentence, hesitating to continue. For the moment, she decided against it and turned her attention to Cobalt's own eyes. "Alright, your turn. What about you? What's your specialty? And do you have any family?" Again her questions were popping out fast, though this time it was more or less to distract her wandering mind.

He fell silent as he realized he probably asked something he shouldn't have, and sat their quietly as she contemplated. It wasn't really in Cobalt's place to pry into someone's personal history, so if she wanted to speak of it, she would.
After a minute or two, she did speak, though to ask about himself. "Uhm... my specialty is one I don't get to use very often, because I have alot of brothers and sisters. Mostly sisters. Twenty two I think, I'm the third youngest..." Cobalt trailed off, counting them all in his head. Paraffin and Panic were both born after him, then too many to bother naming before him.
