I had a cabbage patch doll when I was younger, and I slept with her in my bed for years and years. After I was in middle school, I stopped. Last year my boyfriend gave me this nice huggable-sized red teddy bear for valentines day, and I started sleeping with it in my bed. I feel like it's a juvenile thing to do, but the fact is that it's so comfortable to have my arm around it instead of laying one arm directly on top of the other that I just kept the bear in my bed.
Because I lay on my side when I sleep, it's nice to have a pillow (or in this case, a bear) to hug.

I have a build-a-bear teddy bear from my boyfriend on my bed. ^.^
I also have my stuffed cat that I've had since I was little on my bed ;D
