The Dream Machine 
Who: The house is ruled over and controlled by dear Dr. Rose. This attractive young lady may look good but deep inside her mind is no prettier than any other mad scientist's. Her purpose in life is to lure unsuspecting souls to her house so that she may test her brand new "dream" machine while at the same time satisfying her evil streak by torturing and playing with her unsuspecting victims.
How:Your character came to the SPA looking for treatment of some kind be it healing, rest, meditation, schooling etc. He/she/it was placed in a incubator. The doctor of the manor assures us that this device can give anyone any treatment he or she desires. Of course her evil scheme is really to taunt and torment you.
The doctor will send visions to your character who will experience himself "teletransported" if you will to a series of different worlds, setting, stories and universes. Once there your character will have to decide how to react and behave to these sudden changes of scene.

The Beginning Green rolling hills stretch as far as the eye can see. It is a tranquil landscape, a prosperous land under a blue sky. It is a place where the horizon seems further away than usual and the sky larger than life. The only trace of human settlement of any kind is a large white mansion on the top of the highest hill.
Leaving you mode of transportation behind you walk up the marble stairs and knock on the front door. A young maid opens the door and after hearing that your looking for the Lady of the House she ushers you in to a waiting room.
In a short while the Lady herself comes to greet you. Dr. Rose smiles and listens to your story. After hearing you out she confirms that you have indeed come to the right place. In an excited voice she starts telling you all about the her wondrous "Dream Machine" and how it is sure to be the answer to your problems.
Dr. Rose leads you further into the mansion, down into the underground. The room in which the machine is stationed is enormous and seems to stretch on forever. The walls are covered with giant pods, gleaming silver domes that cast an eerie reflection of what little light is in the cavern. In the center of the cavern is a round shape with blinking lights and screens, the control center from which Dr. Rose works.
Directing you to one of the pods she presses a hidden button and half of the pod rises up without as much as a puff, revealing what looks like a bed inside. She asks you to lie down, smiling sweetly. The last thing you hear as the pod closes is the Doctors melodious voice wishing you "sweet dreams".

wahmbulance 2/10/08 - I'm sorry but I'm finding that I don't have the time to keep this going. Wish I did but just can't right now so "The Dream Machine" is closed until further notice.

wahmbulance 11/08/08 - Open rofl ! (though not looking very pretty. Need to work on the layout around here. Anyone with ideas is more than willing to share them or help me out.)

Note: This is NOT a full fledged RP (as in there is no continuing plot or storyline for the players to follow). This is meant to be a side track, a game to test new characters (or old) in new and surprising situations.

(well I hope you'll have fun, and thank you for signing up biggrin ) shadow_dragon_13 The sound of high heels echoes across the great underground room. Besides the gentle humming of the Dream Machine itself it is the only sound to be heard. Dr. Rose sits herself down in front of the machine, she presses a few buttons, enters her password, and opens up a few transparent screens. Adjusting her glasses she smiles and looks out over her world. "Well good morning everyone, time to get to work! Today is a great day for science." Flicking around she looks for the perfect subject to test her new ideas and machine on. Ah here's something, shadow_dragon_13. Hmm he looks muscular enough to be a fighter, let's find out! Dr. Rose enjoyed a good sparring before breakfast. He was standing in darkness, his eyes were covered and his hands were loosely bound at his back with ropes. He could hear a roaring nearby, almost like the sea. Suddenly light floods at him as a gate opens, the roaring is louder now and he can hear that it is in fact the roaring of a crowd. Something sharp prods him in the back urging him to go forward. Suddenly somewhere nearby there is an animal like roar followed by another cry from the crowd that seems to be going wild over whatever just made it's appearance. Soft footsteps run towards him until he can smell it, and feel it's warm breath on his face.

He saw the cat move up to him and knew what to expect. He didn't yet have full mobility because his hands were bound. The first thing that cat did when it got close enough, was swing its big claw in Shadow's direction. He pivoted on his right foot so that the cat's left paw wouldn't hit him in the middle of his maneuver. The cat's claws sliced right through the rope binding his hands. The crowd roared with excitement.
With out pause, he continued the rotation into a roll to maneuver to the side of the cat. The cat paused for a moment to figure out what happened. Shadow pushed on his legs near the end of his maneuver and forced his fists into the side of the cat. He caught the cat of guard and thus knocked it off ballance. It almost fell over, but it caught itself. The crowd roared again.
He got onto his feet and took a few steps back.
Poor cat. He is going to fight for survival forcing me to do the same. If I play this like he is going to, then he will die. I have to knock him out.
The cat turned and swung again, but retracted much quicker to avoid a repeat attack from Shadow.

shadow_dragon_13 "Oh dear, this looks to easy! He knows exactly what to do. Hmm maybe we can even the odds a little." Rose smiled and pressed a few more buttons. The cat suddenly doubled in sized, and then tripled, until at last it was as big as a house. One hit from it's giant paws would be enough to send Shadow Dragon flying across the arena. The cat crunched up, took aim, and lounged for it's bait.

A loud, surprised gasp came from the crowd the moment after the, now giant, cat lunged at Shadow. A look of fear, bewilderment and confusion appeared on the cat's face. Shadow stood, unmoved, unaffraid, calm even, in front of the pouncing cat. Some would insist they saw a small smile come across the Guardian's face, even though they would be wrong. He rarely shared his emotions.
As the crowd watched with almost as much confusion as the cat, they got excited. What they were seeing, was amazing. They hadn't seen anything like it. In the arena, there was a man standing infront of a giant cat that was being suspended in mid air, halfway into it's pounce towards the man.
I could so play with this situation. I could flip the cat upside down, I could put him in front of the crowd. There is so much I could do. I don't think I could change the size of the cat... but perhaps there isn't a need to. Maybe I will put the cat down, hit its head a few times, and then release it. That should daze it a little bit.
The crowd roared when the man in the arena started hitting the big cat in the head after it had gotten closer to the ground. Shadow stopped after a few powerful punches and a good kick, and set the cat down. He released the bewildered cat. The cat tried to retreat back, but stumbled backwards as it did so. It didn't want to fight this little being with so much power. It looked like it wanted the being to finish it quick.
Shadow found the pressure point he had been looking for and ran up to the giant cat. He accurately hit the cat somewhere in the neck, and the cat fell over. The crowd roared again, for they thought the beast was dead. Shadow hit a pressure point that knocked the beast out. He hoped that it would return to normal size.
Maybe it will understand what I did for it. It will soon be free again. If I'm not a prisoner here, then I will make sure it is put somewhere that it can leave when it wakes up. If I am a prisoner here, then I will have to find a way to leave this place soon, so that I can finish what I started. this is an unusual dream

The doctor twirled in her chair as she watched the match unfold. She smiled happily. "Well looks like quite a toughee this one, he's definetly got some skills. But brawns is not everything in this world." It was a white ..... space would be the best word to describe this place. It was not a room as it had no walls, but neither was it an open space either as there was no horizon. Only bright white light. He was sitting on a hard chair, in front of him was a table. On top of the table there is a box (see pic). Some way away in midair hung a golden keyhole. If he tried to walk away he would not be able to get anywhere, the feeling would be similar to that of walking the opposition direction on a moving treadmill, you walk but get nowhere. Inside the box there is something that rattles, something heavy. "Japanese Puzzle Boxes are small Japanese crafts. They are totally handmade and each single color of the pattern is made by a different wood type. This pattern is called "Koyosegi". The trivia is to open the box, you can need up to 60 moves to do it."

Shadow looked at the box with great intrigue. He turned it left and right, up and down. He looked at all the sides. He found pieces that moved. He moved each piece that he could. He stopped when he realized that he might lock a piece.
This is interesting. The key is in the box. All I have to do is open the box. I could probably smash it, but what would the fun be in that. I will open it with meditation. It shouldn't take that long. Its only 20 steps.
He then sat down. He closed his eyes and concentrated on the task ahead. The box floated up to about level with his head. It rotated around a few times in various directions. Then the sides started moving methodically as though there was a computer chip inside making them move. Pieces moved out on different sides. Some pieces stayed, some moved back in to move out again in a few more movements. In exactly 20 steps, the box made a distinct "click", and one of the faces slid to the side to reveal the inside of a box.
There was a key in the box. Shadow knew that he could not just walk up to the box. He wondered if the spacial shift aplied to the key. He tried it. The key levitated out of the box and floated over to the lock. He was right about the key not being affected due to the fact that it was a part of the mechanism of this place. The key slid into the lock and twisted in it a few times. It was a complex lock, like a combination lock. It was as though someone didn't want this test to be too easy. After a few twists, the clasp on the lock disconected, and everthing around Shadow faded into darkness. Someone underestimated Shadow Dragon again.
