the plot.
The Kershaw kids have hardly known their father. This is simply because he's a musician. A rockstar, in fact. He's the pianist and lead singer for the rock trio 'The Burnouts'. People young and old listen to The Burnouts. They're world-renowned. They started out in their home town in England, and went on to tour Europe and all of the U.S. and Canada, as well as a few stray shows in Asia and South America.
Back in the eighties and the early nineties, when the band was huge, the Kershaw kids were conceived. There are six of them in all, ranging from Twenty to Fourteen. Their father was always touring, but all of the kids still love him dearly. He'd cancel shows just to fly in for the kids' school plays or birthdays.Needless to say, the kids' parents were never married, and broke up when the youngest was three. Both parents were still there for the kids, period, and remained good friends.
Life recently has been problematic for all of the kids. Why? Their mother finally remarried. And she's pregnant with her new husband's kid. They decided to go on a month-long cruise for their honeymoon. As for the kids? They've been shipped off to their father's place in L.A. This is huge, because the kids' entire lives have been spent in England.
Now, this trip isn't simply so that Dad can babysit. Oh, no, sir. This trip was also meant to decide if the kids might want to live with their father, because they hate their step-father. How will things go? You decide.
