Original credit goes to Arethic for starting this list This topic contains a list of known issues (glitches/bugs/etc) within the GGN Feature.
It also contains old and resolved issues, along with some general GGN information.
Please only post on-topic stuff into this thread (as in GGN issues/problems and such).
Please do not contact me by PM regarding such things, i'm not staff or a developer of this site.
If you found any type of exploit in the GGN, please PM darknrgy directly, don't post the details here.

Status Legend Following list explains what the color of the problem title means.
Red: [Broken Feature] New/Unfixed Problem (No workarounds)
Green: [Fixed and Resolved] This Problem should be resolved
Blue: [Has Workaround] Gaia users/staff have found a way around the problem
Orange: [Updated/General] Updated/General Information like notice Last Updated: August 8th @ 7:15 PM (GMT -5)
Topics Moving/Deleting Some people report when moving or deleting topics, it doesn't do it immediately. This is lag based and the topic will take the action shortly. Make sure when 'moving' topics, don't try to delete the original copy as if it was a 'shadow' copy of sorts, as it will delete both.
Homepage Centering Centering on the home page doesn't work properly due to something in the source of the page which isn't there (Got changed in the last layout modifications for Gaia pretty much). No real solid workarounds for this.
Members List (Assort. Glitches) Two problems sorta linked together with GGN Memberlists in guilds. Sometimes members seem to disappear from the memberlist for no reason, and when searched using the Memberlist search, sometimes (not always though) the user will also show up as 'Non-Member'. Now if you give it a little while, this should resolve itself, but if it doesn't, in the long run you can always try having the member leave and re-join.
Issues with Invites When it comes to invites, after an invite has been sent and the person has declined an invite or what not, you will have to wait a week or two before being able to send a new one.
Deleting Threads Captains/Vice-Captains and Crew when they delete threads, the threads have a habit of sticking in the forum for a few minutes as due to lag they don't immediately 'Delete'
Join Requests View There are two problems currently linked with Join Requests:
1) When declining or accepting a user, the page doesn't automatically refresh with the list of join requests and you must go back to the moderator panel and click on "View Join Requests" again. A work around for this problem is to "right-click" on accept or decline so that a new tab is opened and you can still view the list of join requests
2) When accepting a user into a guild, that person is sent a PM titled "You Have Declined to...but inside the PM, it says the user is accepted into the guild. A work around is to warn people sending join requests of this glitch on your guild's homepage.
Guild Stats Certain stats such as # of Users, Posts and such never decline (Say after you would do a full guild clean up of deleting all threads and kicking all members if you just sold the guild or something).
Subforum Titles Disappear There seems to be a problem with mostly captains, where if they make/edit subforums names, and go to create a topic in any of them, it removes the names of all subforums. To fix this, usually having another Vice-captain edit the subforum titles will keep it from happening.
Duplicating Subforums Some users are reporting that when they purchase subforums, they are getting a duplicate one. For the most part, the best way to avoid this would be to make sure not to refresh the page after purchasing a subforum.
Gaia IM popping up People have reported that when they sign in to Gaia, an IM between one of their guild's pops up and if they delete the IM, it keeps popping back up. The only known work around is to go into settings on IM and under general, uncheck the box that says Enable Auto Pop-Up and then click save. This should prevent random guild IMs from popping up.
Coding on Home Page The Edit Guild Settings feature isn't working properly right now. Every time you update the home page, random spaces are inserted into the coding (URLs, italics, bold, IMG, color, etc.). There are currently no known solutions for this problem. Editing the home page again and taking out the spaces and then saving does not work...in some cases it worsens the problem.
Database Error When attempting to move or delete a thread or perform some other action that is usually recorded in the Crew Activity Log, you will receive a message that says "Database Error. No log message was defined for crew logging." Just ignore it. Your action is either lagging or has been done. Your action will also eventually show up in the Crew Activity Log.

New Guilds Unaccessable Captains/Vice Captains are reporting their new guilds are unaccessable even after purchase, no known workarounds at this time, GGN Dev is aware.
Purchasing Subforums There is currently a problem with purchasing subforums, as when captains/VC's try to, its not actually purchasing it. At this time its suggested to all those who have tried, to wait and see if they will be able to get granted later (as i'm sure there is a log of the attempts still), but just incase, no one should try to purchase anymore for the time being.
More Invites Troubles As noted Within Here, there seem to be issues with Invites being sent out and such, as also noted in that thread, GGN Developer was made aware of the issue.

Within this post will be a list of things not exactly defined as a glitch.
Entry Fee's upon invites sent When an invite gets sent, it gets sent with whatever the entry fee at the time was. This isn't particularly classed as a glitch as it really isn't, so most you can make sure to do, is not have a super high entry fee at the time of sending or something of the such.

With the recent changes to the system we should be on the lookout for these, and checking the state of those currently listed Report: Moving Threads Error: Quote: Database Error No log message was defined for crew logging. Effect: Move is delayed, but still takes place as commanded; Move is not entered into Crew Activity Log

Not sure if this relates to the guilds as well, but clan home pages are not coding right. There are random spaces being added into the code when you try to save the page.
*runs off to check dead guild*
I checked in one of my dead guilds and it is affecting them as well. So I wouldn't update your "home" pages anytime soon.

I am rather frustrated, not with the guild I own which, unfortunately, does not have people joining frequently that I have noticed this redface , but another that I moderate. I am a mod in a very popular guild that was spotlighted recently and so the requests to join really pile up. And accepting (and the occasional denial) these folks is my job. However, since about October 25 or so once I get to the accept or deny point I get Quote: Permissions Error Permission utterly denied! Absolute denial! Maybe you just need to log in? I am logged in. I am able to get to every other part my moderating duties. WHAT is going on? Are others experiencing this glitch and to whom should I report it?

Also, the subject line in the message that new members get when they are accepted into the guild/clan says "declined". The rest of the message is correct and does say that they are accepted, but a lot of people don't get that far. They see the declined part and hit delete, and then write nasty little PM's to us wanting to know why we declined them. gonk

there seems to be a problem with the homepage system; upon the last editing of our guild, the SDRP the homepage was shotgunned with random spaces, which broke up the image coding turning it from what you see below to what you see in that link. I just tried to fix it but it wouldn't save ---- OMG! GLITCH ALERT! When we accept your request it sends you an automatic PM with the title saying that you have been declined. Please check your My Guilds page before sending us upset PMs biggrin As the title suggests, this is a guild for people who are serious about roleplaying-- learning it, teaching it, and doing it. Anyone who is willing to improve their RP style, help others improve, and help organize or play in RPs that our guild starts is more than welcome! ALMOST every one is accepted. Although there is no application to fill out, we reserve the right to reject people who post spam or annoy us greatly. If you are rejected you will get a PM saying so. You may PM that person asking why or just apply again in a more reasonable manner.Once you join our guild, these are some basic ways you can help out, although none of it is required. Look at the stickies, obviously, plan and participate in RPs, classes and other things. It should become pretty obvious what you can do. Enjoy!

Ah...question/glitch here...my guild just stole my gold.
I put some gold in...Gaia deducted it from me, and then it never made it into the guild account? Because I can't purchase a new subforum like I wanted.
A. Where/How do I report this? and B. Was that a glitch I should've looked out for? Because I bought the guild from another user and it already had gold in the account. Sure I got error messages when I purchased the sub-forum...but they showed up alright afterwords.

The same thing has happened to me before. There is sometimes a bit of a lag between when you add gold to the guild account and when it actually shows up. Give it a bit of time, and then try again.

Not sure if it is a glitch, but... I went to accept someone into my guild and it said that they didn't have enough gold to pay the entry fee (it's only 1g, but that's not the issue). Normally if someone doesn't have enough gold to pay the fee, I go in and change the fee to zero, wait a few minutes and go back to the join request screen and accept the person. Well this time, when I went back to accept them - the name had completely disappeared from the list. So is it automatically declining them if they don't have enough gold now? Because that stinks! I wouldn't even have a fee, but it helps us track when someone joined since it logs the transaction.

yea, this is a really old glitch actually, akin to when you move a thread and it stays put for a little while; but also, people are charged the entry fee from the moment they submitted the application or received the invitation
