Ade stretched his wings casually and breathed in the night. Many of his bretheren had settled here and found their lifemates, giving him hope that perhaps his was here as well.

Galiena huffed a bit as she took the 'calming' walk her fathers insisted on. She knew it was just so Papa could hide the breakables again, while Dad and Tihalt (the cowards!) found a good hiding spot. She frowned as that thought led back to the reason for her... 'tantrum'. MARRIAGE! To some unknown sap who probably had less of a backbone that her wimpy brother. She would never... EVER let them trap her in such a thing. It was no matter that Dad said it was just to 'get to know each other'.. if Papa had his way (and he usually did) she'd be betrothed by tomorrow morning.

Ade heard the movements long before the girl was anywhere near him. He scanned ahead immediately to find the source of the noise. It was a woman. He slipped into the shadows and made his way to her. She should not be out alone at night. "Go home, woman. The night is not safe for one such as you any longer."

Gali stiffened and glanced about "Oh really? If anything I'd say 'the night' isn't safe because I'm pissed off. So go back to your shadow and leave me alone." She rolled her eyes.. what was it with males and thinking she couldn't handle herself? And the way he said her gender 'woman' as if it were her identity.. please... how ancient was that?

Ade growled. She was going to get herself hurt or killed. How typical of a woman to ignore the rules. He stepped out of the shadow and for the first time looked at her. All at once the colors burst around him. He was blinded by the brightness of the night, the beauty that he could suddenly see. He placed a wing over his eyes. "I will not leave you unescorted. You should have had escorts with you to begin with." He pulled his wing away and looked at her. Her green eyes and blonde hair were so beautiful! This couldn't be his lifemate...could it?

Gali growled as she glanced at the male. He was cute.. but still! "I'm not a child to be watched. I assure you I can take care of myself just fine. Besides... I don't know you so why would I allow you to escort me anywhere?"

Ade smiled, a cold smile of a predator. "You certainly don't look like a child." His eyes traveled over her body. No, she certainly wasn't a child. "It does not matter if you can take care of yourself or not. You should have a male with you to protect you." He stepped closer, using his body to block her path forward.

She frowned, ignoring the uneasy feeling she was getting. "If I can take care of myself why do I need a male?" She snorted bitterly "Besides.. I'll probably have one soon enough if my Papa gets his way.."

Ade stopped and stiffened. The beast rose in him and roared. "You will not take a mate. You will not even look at another male, Sivamet. His eyes grew darker and red flames licked the edges of them. "Never."

She eyed him warily "I don't want to.. but my fathers want me to marry" She shrugged and smirked "They seem to think that will... tame my temper. I don't see why you should care though. And whats a Sivamet?"

She blinked and suppressed a shiver "Oh.." She wasn't sure if she was sorry she asked or not. "What language is that?" Ignoring the stalkerish way he just spoke to her.
