GGN Suggestions List

If there's something you'd like to see added or changed to guilds, post your ideas here and I'll add them to the list of suggestions.

3 people need to agree with your suggestion before I put it up on the list in order to avoid spamming the list with ideas that may benefit only a few people.

Please look at the list below to avoid any repeat suggestions.

it's always annoyed me that when you mouse-over a thread the highlight only covers the topic column; sometimes it takes a minute or two for my eyes to figure which last post is it, which is how I tell if there are new posts since the newpost icons have always been busted on all parts of gaia except for a short period about two years ago. If the highlight covered Replies and Author it would make things that much nicer

the devs got smart and stopped promising things when they stopped giving a s**t; at this point they're saying all forseeable updates will be of a behind the scenes sort, before they can really consider expanding the GGN

I agree with this suggestion. This is something that needs to be put in ASAP.

I just noticed I originally posted this idea in the incorrect thread. I deleted that post and migrated this here sweatdrop

I have a great idea for joining and declining prompts which the applying user views. Pre-formatted/custom join request message and decline message, so if the user is accepted they can view a custom "thanks for joining please read our rules etc" or if declined "we are sorry but you have failed to fill out the application for or other reason to appeal please contact X person"

This way we could in theory make custom messages to suit unique guilds or clans. Example at the zOMG Elite we decline 70% of join request applicants in our custom decline message we could refer members to alternative clans etc.

How about setting edit rights to specific people to amend threads or have the ability to create wiki pages inside of clans/guilds?

I have a very important feature which I would like to suggest and I hope you would consider it. It's mainly regarding invitations, as you are fully aware any member is free to join an infinite amount of guilds so the guild owners rarely send out invitations.

Battle clans work completely different and only allow one member to join, I like it this way and hope it will remain like this indefinitely however because of this some clans issue invitations to members to woe them to join their clan. Because of this some of the public members get irritated or are not interested in joining a clan to begin with so I have some possible solution.

1. I want a "block" button on the homepage of each clan & guild so rather then a user disabling invitations via their preferences they can selectively disable invitations from specific clans or guilds.

2. Update the invitation system if a user is an existing member of a clan prevent the sender with a prompt

3. Members who post in public forums should have a mini clan icon to display that they are a member of which battle clan or can set up a anti clan icon so users know they are not interested.

I really hope that this suggestion and feedback will be considered it would help the zOMGain community a lot.

Can we get for guilds and clans a event calender so we the crew could add events onto the calender and members could find out the details and it would display the correct time for the users time zone etc.

xFire already does something like this very well and it would be a great feature for communities on Gaia.
