Sandstorm Track
A claydol belonging to the pokemon committee of Zatao that sponsers the race teleports your team to the Saxukai Desert during a sandstorm. The temperature is somewhere in the high 90s, not as hot as usual but still pretty hot. The Saxukai Desert is the most uncharted place in Zatao, the pokemon there are very aggressive when trainers come into their territory. Angry trapinches will often try to trap you with sinking sand traps and sometimes there's patches of quicksand. The track is mostly a struggle to survive to the finish, but don't worry, the trainers are being carefully monitored incase rescue is needed. All non rock/steel/ground pokemon will be slowed down by 1 space every move. All rock pokemon get a 25 HP boost in defense. Every turn, you must roll one more dice in addition to whatever dice you were planning to roll that turn (if you were going to roll a 12 sided dice, roll 2 12-sided dice. If you were planning to roll two 6-sided dice, roll three now and etc.). If the first dice is even, then you have run into some trap and take 50 damage. If the first dice is odd, then you are safe...for now. Then you read the dice how you normall do for attack/movement. This track is 40 spaces long.

"Aw man....First it was a blizzard, now a sandstorm?"
Jen sighed and shook her head mournfully as she stood beside her make-shift sled. She had already placed on a pair of goggles and a scarf to keep sand out of her face and was now simply waiting for the race to start. "I swear, Aeon! I think Luna is out to do us in!" She glanced down at her Raichu, who brought up a smile at his antics.
The elder pokemon was pulling and tugging at the harness that kept him bound the sled behind him; finding the leather un-stretchable, he procceeded to chew on the straps with a dark scowl on his face. He wasn't a racing pokemon! He belonged in the stadium! How his trainer could do this to him was beyond the pokemons' belief.
"Hey Aeon! Stop! If you bite that, it'll break! And we'll both be stranded!"
"RAICHU!" He scowled and huffed, but stopped nonetheless.

Llyri gripped the arcanine's fur a little tighter and leaned into its neck, trying to temporarily shelter himself from the sand. When they said "race" nobody had warned him about inclement weather. The arcanine shook it's head and pawed the sandy ground, perhaps also eager to be off and out of the wind.

He could barely hear the starting bell over the roar of the wind, but the arcanine needed no further prompting. Llyri was nearly knocked off its back by a blast of wind as it launched itself forwards into the storm. "Arc Arc!" It barked at him as he tried his best to stay balanced. He opened his mouth to reply, but all he got was a mouthful of sand.

At the starting bell, both Aeon and the Arcanine were off like a shot; the latter of the two quickly gained a high lead, unfortunately.
Nevertheless, Aeon wasn't about to loose to a giant puppy! Nope! Not in this lifetime! Pulling the slightly-modified sled over the sands seemed like a daunting task but Aeon wasn't your normal Raichu, his trainer and the sled felt like paper weights with the thrill of the fight rushing through his veins.
Jen pulled the scarf over her nose and mouth before leaning slightly to prevent drag for her pokemon. Standing while keeping a grip on the reins was gunna be difficult, but she'd disgrace the title of "pokemon trainer" if they weren't willing to try something new!
"Come on, Aeon! Run like no tomorrow!" "Raichu rai!"

When he was better settled on the arcanine's back, Llyri finally dared to look up. He wasn't sure if he was in the lead or if his vision was just being obscured by the airbourne sand, but he couldn't see the other trainer ahead of him. Beneath him, he could feel his mount breathing easily despite the low traction of the ground. The arcanine's gait was a little slippery, but the steps were even. If this was only the beginning, Llyri was glad that he was light. HP: 1000/1000 Movement: 6/40

Aeon was keeping to the side of his opponent, eyes squinting against the blowings sand despite the pokemon-sized goggles Jen had forced him to wear. He growled and pulled the sled forward again as the Arcanine gained another lead.
They had to get them to stop! Otherwise, Aeon wouldn't be able to keep up!
"Okay buddy! Let's let them know we're still here!" Using her free hand, the trainer pointed at the shadow behind the wall of sand. "AEON! THUNDERBOLT!"
"Rrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaiiiiii!" Charging up, the Riachu let loose the bolt of lightning as he kept moving forward (Thank goodness for lack of metal fastenings on the harness, eh?). The static discharge hovered in the air around them for a few moments before fading away.

The shouting should have alerted him, but both Llyri and the arcanine were totally unprepared for the bolt of electricity that fell out of the sky. The arcanine, who had much more experience than the trainer on its back, managed to dodge to the side at the last second, avoiding the brunt of the attack, although they were still hit. Llyri shut his eyes tight against the electricity coursing through them, but he could already feel himself falling. By trying to avoid the attack, the arcanine had stumbled into a pit and nearly pitched him off. HP: 850/1000 Position: 13/40
