Former home to Ussop, this is where Captain Kuro fled and stayed in secret. The village is very safe aside for the one or two pirates who try to blend in with the town folk.

Rednal stretched slightly. Well, then, some of his watching had certainly paid off. It was well worth it to observe a pirate fighting, since if you were smart you could adapt that into something you could use for your own training. Which was exactly what he tended to do, of course. Rednal closed his eyes and focused for a long moment, then began to work his body's muscles. An interesting technique, this one. Time to find out how well it would work.

Rednal whirled around and accelerated his motion, running down towards the other end of the canyon. The technique itself was simple; in exchange for energy, it allowed for one to move at almost absurd speeds, a powerful ability against any opponent. Except for the crazy ones who weren't bothered by that sort of thing, of course. But hey, he had better things to do than worry about the little details. He'd deal with the situation if it came up.

As it probably would, sooner or later. That was just the way the world worked, and there was very little anyone could do about it. Why waste your time worrying about the future when you could plan for it instead? If nothing else, he could take the time here to watch the pirates and learn what they did. Once he was done with that, he would at least have a little more training for when he went to return home. You couldn't be too careful on the Grand Line.

He knew that all too well. The place was absolutely absurd, no matter how you looked at it. Giant monsters, crazy fruit-users everywhere, and a thousand different wonders. There was nowhere else like it. Rednal put on an extra burst of speed, and for just a brief moment he vanished from sight. Yeah, so that was how the technique was done, eh? Not bad, not bad... chuckling slightly, Rednal turned around and began to head towards Orange Town.

Kale had entered Syrup Village, she was seeking someone. Finding the local bar, she called out. "Excuse me!" It was a polite enough greeting for what she needed. "I'm looking for Captain Kuro!" She waited, and noticed someone in the back of the bar, obviously a male standing and walking for her. "I'm Kuro; What do you want?" He questioned her.

Kale looked over him a moment and then gave him a sweet smile, "Your teaching. I want you...to teach me; The Stealth Walk." Kuro stared at her, a slight grin on his face. Readjusting his glasses, he said nothing, but walked outside. Kale clapped her hands together, following him out and to a small clearing.

He turned on her, the grin still apparent on his face. "Watch," came his voice, demanding. Kale listened, nodding. Kuro took a step forward, disappearing before Kale's eyes.

Kale waited for the re-appearance of the other. She was quiet, holding her breath; afraid that if she even breathed she'd miss it. Then it happened, she didn't feel any air, didn't hear a sound but he was behind her. He didn't say anything, was just there. She wondered inwardly, how long he had been there. "Did you catch all of that?" He probed. "Or do, I need to show you one last time?"

"Maybe, just one tiny time more?" She said in a sing song voice. He twitched at the annoying girl. "Fine, but watch carefully." He told her. He stood with her, pushing his glasses up the bridge of his nose, while taking a step-forward.

Kale watched Kuro's feet as he moved to step, and then watched his whole body disappear once again. This time, she think she got the basics of it. This man made it look so simple. Keeping her eyes peeled she waited for his re-appearance again. This time she caught it, if just barely.

Kuro was next to her; he didn't move, didn't turn towards her, just glanced with his eyes to her. "Ready?" He asked, it was simple enough question; was she ready to do this? She pondered a moment, remembering his movements. She took a deep breath, and straightened herself, positioning her feet.

Opening his mouth, he went to correct her stance; but he stopped. He'd let her try, and then correct her errors. "Go." He told her firmly.

Kale focused and took a breath, stepping forward and mimicking the moves she'd caught while watching him. She had it, well almost; her speed picked up and she disappeared for a few seconds, but re-appeared falling forward quickly and hitting the ground roughly. She hissed looking; towards him. He didn't seem displeased with the results.

When she got up, he was already almost to her. "First," He said simply, grabbing her roughly; straightening her stance. "Stand like this." He corrected.

"Again." He stepped back.

Ben walked to Syrup Village and down to one of the slopes on one side of the town to find a large ship with a black cat flag flying in the wind. He walked to the side of the ship and yelled up to the deck. "Hey! I'm looking for Captain Kuro!" A second later, Kuro appeared behind Ben fixing his glasses with his palm and spoke to him. Can I help you?" Be turned to him and gave him a slightly cold look. "I want you to teach me your technique known as the stealth walk."

Kuro looked at him for a moment then grinned a little. "I like your attitude. Fine, I'll teach you. Now watch me carefully." Ben turned to Kuro and watched him as Kuro told him to and then Kuro leaned to his left a little and vanished without a sound. Ben sood perfectly still while Kuro was still out of sight and tried to figure the technique. Kuro suddenly appeared on the slope looking at Ben and fixed his glasses a bit. "You got the idea now or was I too fast for you?"

Ben smerked at Kuro looking up the slope slightly and responded back to him in a calm and collected tone. "I think I got the jist of it." Kuro raised an eyebrow to him wondering if he really got teh idea of the technique in one showing. Ben then let his arms go limp and leaned from side to side a little then moved like he was going to take a step and vanished from sight but reappeared almost right after vanishing. "Hmm, that was a little off. Then how about we give it another try?"

Kuro stood atop the slope watching Ben still not convinced that he could use it yet and Ben stood at the base of the slope trying the technique again. He leaned to his left then his right and vanished again but didn't reappear this time. Kuro looked to his side just as Ben reappeared behind him smiling a bit. ""I think I got it down now." Kuro looked back down the slope and walked back to his ship. "Don't get cocky. It's still a little slow." But Ben smiled and turned back to the ship once again. "Is Black Cat Brother Buchi on the ship also?"

She kept the stance he'd so roughly put her in and nodded, taking another breath. He offered no words of encouragement. "Ready?" It was the same questioned he'd asked only moments before. She was this far, "Yes." She replied.

"Go."

She nodded, and stepped forward; reenacting the movements she tried before, but it seemed even the tiniest bit of change in her stance had contributed to her failure. She got it this time, she moved quickly. It was an amazing feeling that stopped all too soon.

She caught herself, not falling this time. He was there, guessing with accuracy, the place she would loose it. "You've done it." He told her. He didn't seem proud, but then again; he didn't seem disappointed either.

He spoke in hushed tones to her about the side effects and warned her, about using this move too much at one time. It was something, he was sure she would learn; but a fair warning always helped. She listened intently to what he said, and took it in.

"Thank You." She replied, catching herself before hugging him. He stared, like he knew she was going to do something like that. He turned with a quick nod, and raised a hand as a goodbye.

"Bye!!" She called after him as he walked away. She smiled, pleased and accomplished. Taking a deep breath, she let herself fall back on the grass, just to rest. A moment at least. She needed to move on. Where she would go. She didn't know just yet.

Shortly after Ben yelled for Buchi, a bulky figure came jumping off the deck of Kuro's ship and landed on the slope looking up at Ben with a slightly dumbfound look. "Yah? What do you want?" He said in an irritated tone. "I heard that you were strong. Wonderin if you could teach me anything." Buchi let out a goofy laugh and rubbed the back of his head. "You heard I was strong? Well only the strong have the right to teach others to make them stronger I guess. I have a move to teach you called Hard Muscles."

Ben crossed his arms not really being impressed with what he saw but kept acting like he was intreasted. "Sounds powerful. How do you do it?" Buchi pointed at a large rock near Ben's leg. See that rock? Throw it at me as hard as you can." And without any hesitation, Ben picked up the rock and chucked it at Buchi as hard as he could. Right after Ben threw the rock, Buchi curled his upperbody and quickly released his tention flexing all his muscles in his entire body at once before the rock hit him.
