This is where most Skypieans live. Gan Fall is their leader and guides them in times of need. They are a friendly people and protect each other from the wrath of the Skypiean Priests.

A ship sailed into dock, and with a bit of a smile, Rednal hopped onto the shore. He'd heard stories of a place like this, and as usual, they were true. The world was pretty weird that way. Calmly, almost lazily, Rednal began attuning his senses to the world around him. He felt that there were some interesting things he could learn here, and he meant to make the best of it that he could. Which meant more meditation, of course, to attune himself to the world.

Rednal took calm breaths as he relaxed on the edge of the island, apparently not worried about any sorts of wind. He had better things to do and think of, and for now, this was a nice, peaceful island. Others might follow him eventually, but it was quiet for now, and he rather hoped it would remain that way. Of course, if any pirate dared to attack him, they would get to learn what fear was really like. Rednal was a rather tough individual.

And he had no real qualms about claiming anybody's bounty if the opportunity came up. If someone bothered him, they deserved whatever they got, and it was their own fault for getting in over their heads. But he couldn't grow too confident... pirates could be extremely tricky individuals, so he had to watch out and make sure that he didn't become excessively overconfident. Confidence was a good thing, overconfidence was not. He chuckled quietly.

Rednal's senses were now about in harmony with the world he was in, now, and he had gotten a good general sense of the world as well. Apparently satisfied with that, he stood up and began to smoothly practice some martial arts forms. Why bother going nuts when you could do a sort of absorbtion learning, in which the mind was just as important as the body? He nodded firmly and continued to practice, ready to keep marching towards the top.

Rednal continued working through the routines, slowly and steadily moving his way along the beach. He wondered if there was anything that was going to tell people he was here. Well, no matter. He could always learn stuff a better way, and he wasn't particularly into talking to other people to start with. Rednal was a loner pretty much through-and-through, and he liked it that way. Marine, Pirate, or any other sort of person... they didn't need to stand in his way.

And if they did, well, he'd remove them. Being on top of the world was interesting if you were philosophical, and more importantly, it let you look down on everything. Or would, if he could see off the edge of the world... but he didn't intend to go poking for danger like that. Rather, it was much better to stay where he was. Risks were good, but you had to know which ones were the right ones to take, and not just do whatever you wanted. That was asking to die.

Which Rednal had no intention of doing. He wanted his own resort island, though a place up in the sky wouldn't be so bad, either. Somewhere there was a lot of sun. And along with that, he wanted a beautiful, intelligent, and powerful wife that he could spar with in the morning and talk with in the afternoons, so that he wouldn't spend the rest of his life alone. A great amount of money would be needed, and he could probably get that by hunting down pirates.

Some of them had very large bounties. And if strong pirates came after him, he could take them down in turn, and grow yet richer. Rich enough to afford the entire island and build anything he wanted. A large palace, an arena for fighting in, all the fun sorts of things. He did want it all, but he was realistic about how he was going to go about it. You couldn't just expect it to happen, after all; you had to work for it. And work he would, with all his power.

Rednal continued to focus his thoughts, then began to slide through his technique forms again. Forms were mostly for how to do it; in a real fight, you often needed to improvise, and he was fairly good at that. He continued to quietly laugh as he stood, near the top of the world, training to get better. Yes, this place was indeed nice, and it wouldn't be so bad to have a similar sky-island as a backup for his own. Besides which, such a place would be hard to reach.

Hard enough, in fact, that the World Government wouldn't be able to bother him so easily. Rednal had no love for the World Government or its selfish ways, writing and rewriting history because it was afraid of what had one on before. If they had done so much wrong, they didn't deserve to lead, and certainly not to kill others to keep hiding their own sins. He didn't like them, but he'd take what money he could and use it for himself. Best that way.

Rednal quietly continued his meditations, focusing his mind to better enhance himself and his abilities. It took a lot of concentration to learn techniques, and he was well aware of the fact that he still had a long ways to go. The top was a shining place in the distance, so close and yet so far. Though admittedly, he was closer to it than some other people were, a benefit of the choice he had made. Still, he needed to keep going and get ever stronger if he wanted to meet all of his goals.

Slowly, calmly, and quietly, Rednal began to blend in with the surrounding enviornment. It took a lot of work to remain still, as he typically did when meditating, and useful side-effects of this were known to occur sometimes. Not all the time, of course, but it did occasionally happen. A grin flashed across the loner's face as he continued to relax, think, and sharpen his focus. This focus would come in rather handy in the future, he thought, amused.

Hopefully not sooner than expected, though. Rednal liked to be the one to hunt his enemies down, not the other way around. It was always better to fight on your own terms, and not allow them to decide the time and the place. Set your own traps, lure them in, and take them out. And remember to have your plans loose enough to account for all the variables, since some of those were bound to appear. If you were too focused on one idea, you'd miss the big picture.

But you shouldn't avoid thinking about the little details, either. Moderation was the key to everything, he knew, and with an observant mind to take in all of the details. Rednal continued to fade into the background as he remained still, seeming to blend in surprisingly well with the white, fluffy background. How remained a mystery, but he was doing it... perhaps it was some subtle manipulation of shadows, or just an innate ability to be unnoticed.
