In One Piece there has been several races present traveling the seas the most common are, human, merman and giant.
In this guild RPers have the option of being any of them each have a special trait or skill that the others do not.
Humans: The default race, they are balanced and can eat devil fruits.
Mermen/Merwomen: A race of human/fish hybrids. A merman is half human and half of another sea creature, a specific species. The sea creature is chosen by the RPer and the merman will receive properties from both humans and the respective sea creature. Since mermen are part human they can never have the property to regrow limbs or possess other similar properties that greatly defy human capabilities. Mermen cannot possess traits from multiple sea creatures. Mermen will also inhabit the negative effects of their respective sea creature, for example a starfish merman will be slow.
A Merman gets + 5 of each stat, except spirit when underwater.
Since Mermen thrive in water eating a devil fruit would stop them from ever being able to enter the water again. This being said, it is recommended that Mermen do not eat devil fruits or one of their main advantages will be taken away from them.
Giants: A race of huge creatures that resemble humans. In this guild RPers may only be half giants, a giant born from a human and a giant. These giants will be roughly 11 to 16 feet tall and have enormous strength however being a giant does have consequences. The stamina and strength increases given to a half giant may be beneficial but a giant's speed is reduced.
A half giants strength stat should be multiplied by 1.3 to compare to a humans. For example if a half giant has 30 Strength, it would be equivalent to a human with 39 strength. This may not seem like much but keep in mind that this bonus will increase over time. A half giant with 50 strength will gain 15 more stat points in comparison to a human.
A giant's stamina is also slightly increased, a giant will have +5 stamina when starting off. However this is not a big difference from the average human or merman.
The down side to being a giant is that a giant's speed is greatly reduced. A giant's speed is equivalent to 1/2 the speed of a humans. A giant may only have a maximum of 40 speed stat points. This means that a giant who is at maximum speed will only be as fast as a human with 20 speed.
