The black suite patterned fur moved with the tall framed peach faced and front pawed wolf. His brown eyes moved to look around, this wolf believed in the supernatural, and looked for it. He knew there were wolves that could do abnormal things, control certain elements normally called Shaman, and those that had the ability to affect the mind the seers.
His life was about looking for them, looking for the answer's they provided and he came from a distant pack with his partner, best friend, and, well, better half, Dana Scully. This wolf was Fox Mulder from the pack that called itself the FBI, they were on the far side of the mountains on the other side of Telk and every member was born with a similar fur pattern as him and Scully, but that was behind them, and they really didn't like his method in things.
"Hey, Scully, how are you holding up?" He asked coming to a stop and turning to look behind him at the red maned wolf with a kind smile.

Dana Scully, the red maned she-wolf followed the similarly fur-patterned wolf who was her partner in the FBI, best friend, and more. He was the one who she loved and well, she needed to make sure he didn't get killed following the supernatural. Scully of course was still skeptical of those wolves called Shamans.
Scully had only seen Mulder once again after a... bit of a fall out with the FBI. It was ok, so long as Mulder was safe and alive. After all, who else would make sure he stayed safe if not for her?
Scully padded towards Mulder after he stopped and turned towards her. As she caught up she asked, "I'm fine. You're looking good. Off to find those so-called Shamans, Mulder?"

Mulder's tail just could be refrained from wagging at Scully's skeptic views, but it was one of the things that he adored and fell in love with her over. Besides she had saved his tail just as many, if not more, times then he had protected hers.
"I only look as good as my partner, wishes, but I didn't have to state that out loud." he cracked in his normal manner, then addressed her question. "Maybe. I don't know. I've heard from some gibberish in the woods around here of wolves that have some..." his bobbed his head once or twice, "Maybe, it's a shaman I'm looking for, but I don't know. They call it a monster, though the gibberish gossip seemed to also talk about multiples of hostile wolves."
He shrugged, "I guess I'm just gonna be looking for someone or a group of someones ready to tear new holes into me." He kidded.

Scully's ear twitched and she nearly grinned just being able to see and hear Mulder speak. The near grin became a real one at his crack. "Only you Mulder, only you."
Scully sighed, and nearly frowned. She tilted her head to the side and commented, "You sure there's really something like that out there? I haven't really heard much of anything like that for sure."
Scully was a bit frightened for Mulder, and well herself, but mostly Mulder. Only these things happened to them. Scully refrained herself from swatting Mulder with her paw at his joke.
"That's a tasteless joke Mulder. You shouldn't joke about people putting holes into you," Scully scolded. "It isn't a stretch to say something could go horribly wrong."
If any case, Scully would go along with Mulder. After all, they were a team, partners. She needed to keep Mulder in sight. If not to protect him, but because she did the love the other wolf after all.
"Well Mulder, got a plan? I'll follow you," said Scully.

He stepped towards her and nudged her with his snout, a tender gesture, "I can't let you always out shine me, Scully. Though you can stay the better looking one of us." Though he then pulled away to look towards the direction they had been heading towards. A frown and, well his normal jokes, seemed to disappear, "I don't know. But it's always the little things, the gossip that can lead into big full blown investigations," his brown eyes moved back towards the strict face of his partner, "And maybe a medical mystery." But it wasn't until he saw that look in her green eyes that Mulder took a big step backwards, half expecting that dainty fine paw to come up and bat him across his nose for his last joke. "I'd admit that was low for even me." He dully admitted, though kept and eye on her feet. But then he just looked back up to her face, "I'll be sure to let no one else step on your territory." If there was one wolf he'd allow willingly to put holes into him. It would be Dana Scully, she was doing a fine job at the moment as it was. "Plan?" He now let that playful, but yet mildly serious smile come up to play, "Yeah, we find something that looks remotely like it could cause trouble, observe and try not to get bit or drag attention to our...myself." Mulder looked off to the side, Scully was good and keeping things from noticing her, but Mulder...well he didn't have the patience she had. Several feet away there was a shadow that moved through the trees, death clung to this form, but not because of the wolves it had devored in it's past, but because of the old blood oozing from the scraps and fresh open wounds scattering across the black and tan pelt.
A red eye moved around while the blind blue eye just seemed to sit still in the bleeding face. The tattered left side of the maw showed blood coated fangs and even a piece of the wolf's own flesh seemed to dangle from between the clenched jaws.
The nose twitched and the dark wolfess became aware of the fresh meat in the surrounding area. This wasn't a wolf that hunted normal game, this was a wolf that preferred other carnivores or wolves for that matter.
The dark shadow moved towards the talking pair that it could hear talking about a plan and tasteless jokes. They were about to see one of the most tasteless joke of the forest. Valdis a warrior from the pack that called itself the Reign of Terror, though she didn't classify herself as such, the Alpha, or Soft-skull as she dully called him, in her own manner of odd respect, called her his warrior.

Scully frowned, it had struck her a bit to hear Mulder speak that way. After all, they were partners and without Mulder... She didn't want to think of it. It scared her to be frank.
She nodded her head, "Mystery indeed."
The arrival of a new she-wolf, one bleeding and quite malformed from injuries startled Scully. She growled, baring her fangs, snarling at the one threatening her and Mulder. "What do you want?"
Scully flexed her paws, thanking that the claws weren't broken so she could use them if needed.

Mulder held the flinch he felt his body wanting to act out upon Scully's frowning. He was gonna have to do a lot of work to ensure she knew he would do his best to stay by her side. He had missed being next to her while he had to lay low for a while.
Though when she nodded and restated his suggestion, Mulder couldn't help the faint smile before his own head was snapped in the direction of another making faint noises of approach.
A stalker of the forest no doubt and...by God it was a hideous looking wolf. "A bandage no doubt. Look at that blood." He chided, but the way the other moved he was on edge more than he would have wanted to admit. Besides Scully was being the inquisitor.
A gruesome smile twitched on the right side of the wolf's face, it was the only half of her face that wasn't torn in previous fights. The spirit of the red maned wolf got adrenaline pumping automatically in the mangled femme's body.
Black tongue flicked across her own razor sharp fangs. "To look." Valdis answered in what could only be compared to a chortle deep in her throat.
Slight tile to her head and the tan and black wolf began to circle, nose twitching as she scented the strangers. Odd looks to be from this side of the forest. "Are you lost?" not exactly the sweetest of sounds or most caring more like a big bad wolf sniffing out the humans weakness.
"Oh look, Scully, I think it likes you...or maybe we just stumbled upon someone thinking of dinner." The male stated in an easy going voice, but Valdis recognized the hardening of eyes. He was becoming edgy and not liking the situation. Even though he probably was thinking with the two of them verses just one wolf there wasn't much of a problem.
The dignified look though and the quickness of bared fangs was something that was highly amusing to the warrior. Best she hadn't rushed out at the duo, they must have some training in defense in the least.
