ρℓαgυε яαтs αη∂ вℓσσ∂ч cяυмρεтs...Just wondering what "label" everyone puts on themselves as far as religion. Examples: Wiccan, Pagan, Chaos Witch, etc
The term I stick on myself is Eclectic Solitary Witch. Status >in want of arts

Similiar for me, only i generally associate the term witch with wicca. though if you call me a witch i don't care. eclectic solitary pagan. with some buddist leanings. and i'm not quite solitary either. i have a coven, but each member have a different path. and i'm a member of an open circle outside of that.

Extravagantly Yours The term I stick on myself is Eclectic Solitary Witch. Ditto. XD Although I often add in that I mostly use a mixture of gods worship (mostly Khemetic, Norse, Greek, Celtic), gardinarian wicca, faerie wicca and shamanism (both native and celtic).

ρℓαgυε яαтs αη∂ вℓσσ∂ч cяυмρεтs...Oh I take from all sorts of paths. I love Celtic Traditions as well as Norse/Nordic Traditions. I also use a lot of Egyptian symbols and sigils.
I used to attach myself to the term 'Wicca" but I stopped when people started to jump on me about Traditional Wicca and how if I wasn't in a proper coven and taught a certain way i wasn't really Wiccan. Which I understand -shrug-
Plus I like witch over wiccan, sounds cooler xd Status >in want of arts

Eclectic Solitary Witch prolly fits me too. I feel personally, calling myself Wicca would be insulting to those who actually have been initiated in a Wiccan coven, and it takes a lot of time and effort and is kind of like insulting their credentials as a Priestess. That said I know a lot of people are kind of used to the title by now, so its difficult to tell each and everyone what to call themselves too : sweatdrop

I guess you could call me a Seeker. As I'm not really practicing just seeking information.

She laughed a wicked laugh and said...I don't like any words like Wiccan, Witch, or anything like that. I'm a magician, literally one who practices magic. I wonder why no one else wants to use this term. stressed "Come here, let me clip your wings"

"Magician" implies ceremonial magic. I dislike ceremonial magic and I'm not a member of a ceremonial order like the Rosicrucians or anything, so the term doesn't apply to me wink
I'm a witch, hedgewitch specifically, but if someone asks my religion I say "eclectic Pagan". I'm becoming more comfortable referring to myself as a Heathen, but I'm not sure I'd use that word if someone asked me what religion I was.

I'm still in the early days of my research also what exactly is a hedgewitch? sweatdrop I'm still new to a lot of the terminology

Asahi Sara what exactly does ceremonial magic refer to in contrast to "folk magic" and "ritual magic" ? I'm still in the early days of my research also what exactly is a hedgewitch? sweatdrop I'm still new to a lot of the terminology Ceremonial Magic is a path in its own right. Wicca incorporates quite a bit of Ceremonialism because that's an aspect of things Gardner was really into. So, for an example, check out the Lesser Banishing Ritual of the Pentagram. ^_^ A hedgewitch is a witch who practises a form of "shamanism". It's a Germanic sort of thing, I guess. You go "walking the hedge" wink I also associate it with "border country" and things involving threshold or liminal states.

I'm a total Atheist.
However, I practice paradigm piracy, so I revert back to atheism as my "natural state." I've incorporated LaVeyan Satanism into my spirituality, as well as occasional bout of chaos magick.
I'm anxious as ******** about tonight. Beltane ritual. ^_^

I consider myself a Wiccan because of the books that I read when I was learning about magic and the religion behind it. I follow the wheel of the year and the moon cycles, and am big on ceremonial magic.
