Majority of j-rock sounds so strangely similar to all the American rock as well as the rest of j-rock. Sure, they change a few guitar chords and have a different voice giving the lyrics oral. That doesn't change much. I just love Dir en Grey for their live performances, and the song cage.
Its cool, I'm used to people not even recognizing the bands I listen to. Hard rock, foreign metal (The Norwegian kind that's recorded on a 1960's tape recorder in a washing machine in the middle of a forest, like traditional metal) Certain rap, techno, foreign rave, rave, horrorcore, light rock, oldies, psychedelic, and the list goes on, but yeah. >.> I'm weird. w00t.
