It was a cool evening, sitting in the park. It was calming. Azare found only one problem. The purple and white fox was without a book. Not that this mattered much to him, but he was bored, and there didn't seem to be a pretty girl in sight. Thankfully, Chaely wasn't hidden in his tail, hiding some where off in the closet or something along those lines.
"Oh, how I wish a pretty girl would come and say hello..." he mused to the wind.

Ah, the calm that comes with the park. It'd been quite a white since Michellea had dared to visit, yet she herself didn't know why. Her bracelets jingled lightly as she went about looking for someone or something to entertain herself with, her wings folded against her sides almost invisibly. She caught sight of Azare and grimaced mentally, flicking her gaze away from him as she spat to herself, "And here I thought the insects of this world would leave me some peace..." She pretended not to notice him and toyed with a flower near her paw, plucking it from the ground not to smell it, but just so she ould get it away from her.

Azare looked over. Ah! So his wish was granted! A pretty young lady landed right near him. Ah, this evening was turning out better than he thought. He padded over and gave her a suave little smile.
"My, what is a pretty young girl like yourself doing out here by yourself?" he asked, just barely catching a view of her wings. Well, an angelic... this should be interesting.

Michellea stopped a growl and gave him a look that seemed to scream she thought little of him, although her tone was sickly sweet, "Not to get flirted with by the likes of you." Although she seemed innocent enough, she would rather have squashed him before he'd spoken a single word to her, over enduring him for a moment.

Azare blinked at the white angel. She thought herself better than him? Understandable, he supposed, by his lack of wings, but to totally push him off? That was a little much, and he hadn't really gotten to flirting with her yet!
"Well, now, you've wounded my pride. Why am I so low as to not speak to you?" he asked with a innocently curious expression.

Michellea was somewhat surprised at the fact he was still trying, and luckily she was in the mood to dignify him with an answer. "Little bug..." She cooed, her voice just as sweet as always, " ....I've yet to find one of your kind to have any sense of pride, much less one not attempting to inflate a woman's view on her self-image with mere words." She pressed a paw to her mouth a moment, thinking before speaking, "If you can prove my logic wrong, maybe I won't look down on you."

Azare smiled, then frowned. So she didn't want him opening expressing how wonderfully pretty she looking? And that he had a sense of pride? Hmm... He thought for a moment, tail swishing back and forth. It wasn't every day a woman like her challenged him like this. Az knew he had to be careful about what he said, and work the words expertly, not something he was quite known for. He mentally cringed remember the incident with Kazooie. He mouth just did not listen to him that day.
In any event, he pulled himself back to now. "I must ask, miss, what you would define pride to be. See, I pride myself in the fact that I don't flirt with mated ones. I just don't do it, mostly to save my own hide I'll admit, but also because I don't think it's right. And, miss, you'd be hard pressed to find anyone not flirting with you," he said, blue eyes giving her a warm kind gaze, instead of the usual flirty one he gave others. "because your kind, women, respond so well to the flirting. We men have become quite... learned in that. Compliment a girl on her appearance, and your that much closer to having a friendship, or more, with her. 'Course, there are the ones who don't like it, like you for instance, or just bite your head off, but that's a risk you gotta take." The purple fox shrugged his shoulders as he spoke, grinning at the end.

Michellea's mouth twisted into a relaxed smile as she spoke, "I admire your honesty... but, you missed one little detail." 'she flicked her tail under his nose teasingly, "I never said I didn't like flirting..." She admitted, she was having fun toying with him thus far, but she really wanted to se just how badly she could mess with him without him giving up, "What's your name, or should I call you 'little bug'?"

His eyebrows went up. Well now, she was quite the little trickster. He smirked. "Oh, well in that case, my beautiful white angel... I am Azare, and you?" he said, letting his flirting strike back with a vengeance.

Oh, this was going to be fun... "Michellea..." The bracelets on her arm jingled as she ran a paw over her tail, "So, Azare, the luckiest of your kind, I have a question for you.... Do you flatter so obviously all the time, or am I so lucky to be graced with a rare beauty?" She smirked teasingly, knowing the minute she caught him saying the wrong thing, she'd pretend an offense to his words.

Azare stepped carefully through his words, choosing with extra care. "Lucky am I? I do think not... However, my flattery comes as obvious or as hidden as necessary. With you, it had to be stated. With other cases, it is best to infer to it and not speak out right. And you, Michellea, are truely graced with a rare beauty," said Azare, giving her a smile. The way she smirked at him had him one his guard. Women were fickle things.
And when they smiled like that, it was never a good thing.

Michellea seemed speechless for a moment, but quickly recovered, "While you think carefully about what you say..." She let out a soft sigh and raised a brow, "What do you gain from your flattery, little Azare? I daresay you aren't one to settle down, so what is it you seek? A kind word left unequaled seems not to suit you, as it wouldn't me."

He smiled, the grin sly and creeping up his muzzle. "My lovely Michellea... I gain whatever happens after that, be it just a friendship, or a night covered in sheets. And as I much enjoy the friendship of a pretty lady, there are... certain... benefits that seem to arise. I quite enjoy those benefits." Azare winked at her and waited to see what she would say.

She seemed to choke out a laugh, "Friendship? Oh, little Azare, how you amuse! Surely if you befriend someone and benefits do not occur, you'll know not what to do with yourself?" She flicked her tail graciously and added, "Friendship may be fine for you when you are assured your benefits, but you'll be the one watching as your little 'friend' falls or someone and refuses to adhere to your... pact... any longer..."

"Of course, miss. I'm not one without resources. If she does move on, then it just wasn't meant to be, and I'll just have to live with that," he said with a shrug of his shoulders. He wasn't one to get jealous easy, though it did sadden him when one of her pursuits moved on from him.
