So I finally got myself a tattoo. Pics will have to wait as my camera has decided to stop working, but once I see my friend I'll have her take a pic so I can post it. But back to my awesomely awesome tattoo. Are you familiar with the anime Fullmetal Alchemist? I got the alchemy symbol on my left arm, which I say grants me double nerd points. And it didn't really hurt either; at its worst it felt like a sunburn. Parts even tickled. It's so cool.

That was a good anime series.
If you wanted triple nerd points, you'd have to get the Hellsing Pentagram on the other arm now xd
I can't wait to see pictures to see how it turned out. I wouldn't get a tattoo myself as I would never be able to decide what to get. How long have you been wanting to get one?

It's my favorite anime. biggrin I decided at fifteen I was getting a tattoo, waited until eighteen, couldn't find an artist for the ones I wanted drawn until recently. I didn't finally decide on the alchemy symbol until a few months ago, and once it was cleared with my doc, I scheduled a day with a friend of mine to get it done. As for the ones I'm getting drawn I want a rat with a Taurus symbol in it, and a dragon. They'll go on my shoulderblades.
Edit: I also forgot I want to get the rose from Revolutionary Girl Utena. Total girl anime, but Utena reminds me of a younger, more innocent me which I think is cool And which is why I want to get the rose tattooed on me. I'm thinking about putting it on my ankle, but I'm not sure yet, so that one will come later.

Alchemy symbol! Nice! I have a friend with a State Alchemist costume who would be immensely jealous.
I want a tattoo, however I tend to wait ages after thinking up a design, with the idea that if I still like the design after a long time, then its a good idea. Unfortunately, I haven't found a design I can commit to yet. My other problem is that, in order to get a tattoo, it would have to be something symbolic, which limits me somewhat.
My latest idea is to get an eight-pointed chaos star on my arm, with black wings to either side of it and a halo on top, to represent my character. Whether or not I will stick to this remains to be seen.

Your tattoo sounds cool, but I agree that it's a good idea to wait if you're not sure your mind won't change later. After all, it's better to wait and be sure than to jump the gun and be unhappy later. Where did your friend get his stuff? I sooo want one of the state alchemist pocket watches, but the only one I can find is Ed's. sad Which is cool, just not what I want.

Wow! Nicely done tattoo!
My mate got his costume custom-made by the way, so it looks really flashy. The only thing that was store-bought were the gloves that Roy Mustang wears.
