Condolences to his family. I knew he had mental health problems, but I didn't know he had health health problems. The article I read said he had a heart attack and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance where he died of cardiac arrest. I wonder if those kids will ever tell what really happened at neverland ranch now that the king of pop kicked the bucket?

I blame Michael Jackson for a vast majority of the stupid and random/jerky dancing I've done over the years.
I also thank him for it.

Now I'm just disgusted. You have to be an enormous p***k to get such a kick over somebody dying. I would have expected better from you, Ryo. I really would have.

And I just find it sad that, even now, so many people choose to see him that way. He was acquitted of every last charge brought against him.
I've had my own doubts based on the fact that he does seem to fit the profile of a child molester. But at the same time, he was the single most asexual person I can think of. He was famous for dance moves that, for all intents and purposes, should have been very sexual. But it never really seemed that way when he did them.
I think he had a lot of mental issues based on his relationship with his father and becoming such a superstar at such a young age. He never really grew up - he was stuck with the mindset of a ten-year-old. I think that is more likely why he chose to surround himself with children than that he had any intent to abuse them. And in later years, he seemed increasingly paranoid and out of touch with reality. Of course, given his treatment in the media, I can't really blame him for letting wariness give way to paranoia. Although I'll always laugh over his accusations that Tommy Matolla was racist, seeing how Jackson was even paler than I at the time.

*insert Michael Jackson joke here*
I'm very meh about it; The guy is a celebrity, but hasn't really been relevant to much since the early 90s; since then he's just been weird. So news of his death for me is "okay, what else is on TV?"
The fact that this is overrunning the A/M/C is irritating as hell, though.

What kind of gun shop IS this you go to? neutral My mom went to high school with Farrah. Even had her picture in her yearbook. Quite sad indeed.

I heard the news while in Italy two weeks ago. It came onto TV screens in the metro stations and made magazine covers. I feel sad for Michael and his family... I watched his memorial on TV the other day and got teary when his daughter spoke about him. His concert looked like it was going to be amazing.
Also, it's nice that we can passively sit here and talk about what a "sick ********" Michael Jackson was, while we sadistically judge a man and laugh over his death. Where's our charity work? How many people have we inspired in a lifetime? He deserves all the recognition and adoration that people give him.
I've been listening to "Billie Jean" and "You Rock My World" a lot lately, watching MJ music tributes on YouTube as well. My heart goes out to his family.

Waltz for Luma Also, it's nice that we can passively sit here and talk about what a "sick ********" Michael Jackson was, while we sadistically judge a man and laugh over his death. Where's our charity work? How many people have we inspired in a lifetime? He deserves all the recognition and adoration that people give him. He deserves more. It's sickening how man people judge him over the child molestation trial, even though he was found innocent, because the only thing they bother to read is tabloids. If they did some research into the supreme lack of evidence, it'd blow their ******** minds. I'd say it's pretty bad when over half of the witnesses the prosecution called in expecting to testify they were abused by Michael Jackson actually showed up to testify for the defense. And they don't know about his massive charity work for the same reason. This is a man who likely gave over half a billion dollars to charity in his lifetime. He composed songs and organized musical concerts and events for the sole purpose of bringing money to charities. It's pretty ridiculous that almost nobody outside of the UK can tell you who the hell Bob Geldorf is musically, but they know he's the "Live Aid" guy. Michael Jackson was a musical superstar, did tons of the same political and charity work, and all anybody wants to talk about is that he had too many nose jobs.

I kind of feel it's because all America cares about is making ourselves feel better than celebrities -- shows on VH1 ("Celebreality"), the tabloids, all of it -- I honestly think is just so we can feel better about not being rich and famous. :s One of the webcomics I read summed it up pretty well, imo. (If it's too big, feel free to break the link -- my browser won't tell me the size of it.) "the king and court jester of pop"

I'm more worried about the children's mother appearing as soon as he dies to take the children back. All I've ever read on her is that she sold them for money or something similar. Apparently it's in court right now. But I've only seen one lonely article appear to me out of the mist of all this.

I came across this video blogger (Ill Doctrine) on Amanda Palmer's blog and he has some amazing input on child stars. Like Amanda pointed out, he should add pauses to really let the words sink in. Still good though. Check it out.... Dance You Into The Sunlight

Michael Jackson: great singer, great dancer. Thought he was good when I was a kid.
But I'm not obsessed with him.
His ex-wife lives in my town. O____O
I don't know the whole story nor am I going to go about reading them since their all subterfuge.
But, yeah, laughing at his death-- not cool.
