It was the dead of night, the stars above shone brightly as usual. Arelle opened her sky blue eyes and slowly came to look at the skin-walker that was sleeping next to her. Should she wake him? she wondered. She wanted something to drink. She had been to the lake many times with him, and knew the way well... he was sleeping so peacefully. Maybe she should just go on her own. Even though he would not let her ANYWHERE on her own. She would be back soon or so she kept telling herself.
She gulped and slowly moved to the side so she was no longer snuggled up to him, hoping she did not wake him, her ears darted back as he moved s,lightly. A sigh of releif escaped her lips as she stood up and went to the entrance to their home. Looking back one more time at her beloved protector before she headed out into the sky. Her giant pastel wings beat rapidly before a lake came into view.
It was cold out and now Arelle had started to wish she had just asked Oberon to come with her. If he new she had been out on her own he would be mad. He did not like her wondering off as he put it. She was already at the lake now though so she might as well get that drink before she headed back. She landed by the lake side and straight away stuck her head into the water. She wanted to be fast... before he woke up.
Her long hair touched the water she pulled her head back away from its surface and looked at her reflection. Who was that staring back at her? why did she look so different to Oberon? why where her wings different? she sighed and looked closer at herself. Was she ugly? Oberon was so handsome and strong and every time she saw herself it just made her realize she was nothing at all like him.
She shook her head she could not think like that. Oberon loved her she was sure of it! Putting a brave look on her face the mare turned around to head back home but just as her feet left the ground, she stopped and looked back around. She heard something. Her heart skipped a beat. Had he woke up and come looking for her? she gulped and turned around towards where the rustling noise came from waiting to see Oberon. To her surprise though it was not him.

She had also snuck away from home but not just from her mate but also her children, who were all grown. She had two sons and a daughter. Though her sons were more feminine then her daughter, something her mate had been shocked over. Pale white hair, though her son Silvera had white hair, drifted about her while little orbs of light floated around lending her a guiding light.
Wings like pale gossamer shimmered under the light of the moon, as did the horn upon her head. Once free of the trees her wings were free to flutter, while beads in her hair jangled. She had not meant for her rustling noises to gain the attention of the Soquli at the lake, she was lovely. All pastels, while she herself were all the colors of winter and the stars, the Angenie was quite a sight but it was odd...there was a horn upon her head. A crossbreed she was sure, just like herself.
Deciding to not hold her voice back she spoke in a gentle, wispy, voice. "Do not be afraid. I am here to enjoy the coolness of the eve." She loved the colder weather and it seemed so far this summer had not been the warmest of summers, which she didn't mind in the least. Pale lavender eyes watched the blue eyed mare before she stepped closer, slowly. Wings fluttering and her tail waving gently behind herself from side to side.
The rustling noise she had made was from the silk cloth about her lower half, it ghosted and fluttered about back cloven hooves that were a brushed silver color, though they seemed white.

Arelle looked back at the mare. She had made herself obvious. She was very pretty like snow. Her wings were like nothing she had ever seen before. Her blue exams gazed at her, not examined like many do just took in what was really happening. How is this? Arelle had only ever met her protector Oberon... she did not know other life existed beyond them two. As hard as that might seem.
She was not going to hurt her? how was she supposed to know that? then again she had never come face to face with danger ever and she was sure that if she did the monster would not give up such a calm and understanding aura. However she was not going to let fool her. She shivered slightly and then moved backwards slowly until she was basically pushed against a tree. Looking at the ground ever so quietly not to provoke the female in any way.
She kept an eye on the other, not taking her eye off of her for one moment. She did not know what to do at all. Where was Oberon? what did he want her to do? She eondered before looking up at the female with her large eyes. "I am sorry... I have never met another before..." She stated in a quiet voice.

That would seem quite hard to believe infact. But then again she didn't know the other had never met other life nor her life style. As it was Lady Requiem, Requiem for short, was staring at the female Angeni. She had never once met an Angeni though she had wondered once or twice what she would do if she were to meet one.
Startled by the other mare's voice the words almost slipped from her grasp but when she took in what was actually said she stared in surprise. Pale lilac eyes widened a fraction even. "You've never..met another Soquili?" How was that possible? Didn't she see them all around like she herself did? Didn't she see foals and baskets, not to mention adult Soquili?
Not wanting to frighten the scared mare by asking such questions, or raising her normally soft voice, she nodded her head and took a moment to calm herself, since when did she become anything but calm? She had a feeling it was just now that she became something other then calm and peaceful.
"Their is nothing to be sorry for. It is understandable...your scared. I doubt if I tell you that there is nothing to fear from me you will fully believe me also." She said softly while thin, delicate, wings fluttered gently upon her back.
