Follow this link - BBC Entertainment News - New Who Costume for a glimpse of Matt Smith's new costume. The Time Lord's new look consists of tweed jacket, bow tie, rolled up trousers and black boots. I'm not sure, but then again I am never sure until I see the new guy and his costume in action. lol Looking at the small photo he kind of looks like a student playing dress-up as a professor.

I agree. Also, his face just seems to young. I think that rather than making him look older that outfit makes him seem younger. And that girl next to him doesn't help. Hopefully, when moving it will come off better, sometimes stills are deceptive.

Hmm...I'm not sure about any of this. I'm still iffy on the actor and the outfit just doesn't seem to suit him. And what's with the teeny bopper? I'm not sur I can handle a companion who's still in high school. Whatever. I'll reserve judgement for now.

That's what I keep telling myself, wait and see the guy in action. He should surprise us, after all they wouldn't have hired him unless he could do the job.
You know for a show that is all about change us fans really don't like it. lol

Oh come on now. Donna got better. I admit I was rather upset when I found out she was going to be a regular companion but they made her a good deal less annoying and just plain stupid as the season went on.

Poor guy, all he must ever hear is "Well, you're no Tennant, but I suppose you'll do..."
I am cautiously optimistic about Matt Smith himself; remember how it was all "Nobody can top Christopher Eccleston waaah! Who is this young upstart?!" when Ten began?
The costume? I don't like it so much. I thought the black-jacket type thing he was wearing in that publicity shot with the TARDIS was much more suited to him. *shrug*
