What are your views on abortion?? Personally i am against it unless the girl was raped, then i think it would be ok.

I'd say no all the way, but when I think about it ... I really don't know how I'd feel if I was raped and have a child. I really can't imagine how I'll would feel, or what I would do..

I think that it depends on what you think the baby is... I mean, do you think it is a person? Or just the shell of one? I think it's a person. You can feel it kicking... some mothers say that they share emotions and have an amazing bond with their child before it is even born. How can you creat a bond like that with something that is not alive?

And the girl being raped shouldn't justify murder. I call it that because, well, technically, that's what it is. You are intentionally terminating another uman life, another beating heart. Put the baby up for adoption or keep the baby. Don't kill it. How much bettter than the father are you if you do that?

But he did say "Thou shalt not kill." And you just called another human an organism. So what if the baby's still in the womb? It's breathing, it's little heart is beating.....

And when mothers DO get abortions, they get a sick feeling, no matter who they are. Deep down, they feel, well, maybe not guilty, but that feeling you get when you think "Well, what if I made a terrible mistake?" How can it be so right or justifiable if they feel that?

people are organisms bud. And its not up to you what a mother does with her body, and while a child is still growing and attached to the mother, it is just another part of her body. A parasite if you will feeding off of her until it is ready to detach and begin life.

I agree, you do have a point. I still stand at my current opinion about abortion. While a parasite, it's still human.

I dont like to mix religon in with my abortion stands. Because i am a christian...just a horribly horribly different than your average christian. And i will conceed that while i might disagree with you, i will learn to accept your philosophy, and your philosophy.

I'm against abortion, but I'm still pro-choice. It's going to happen, and I'd rather have it happen safely.

I think it is absolutely, 100%, regardless of the reason, the woman's choice and if she wishes to have an abortion she should be able to.
I most likely wouldn't myself, but if someone wants to terminate a zygote of unspecialised cells, they could and I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. I also think that every child should be wanted, so if a woman's permission to have an abortion was taken away, what kind of life would that child have, when their mother didn't want them? I'm not saying that every kid who is born has parents who love them, but still...

I'm against abortion because if the "Soon to be" parents are mature enough to go around having sex, they should be responsible of their actions don't you guys think?
On the other hand. If we are talking about a rape, I think that's a fair option because it was conceived against the mother's will. So the baby would be hated as soon it sees the light because it was product of a terrible behavior.

Abortion is probably one of the most responsible choices a sexually active couple could make, especially if they are about 16 with no way of supporting a child. Hell, there are even younger sexually active people out there and how are you supposed to expect a 13 year old to deal with a baby? neutral

Abortion, in my opinion, is only okay if there is a potential risk that the mother and/or the baby are going to die in childbirth. And, if so, the aborted fetus should be allowed to be donated to stem cell research to help find a cure for the greater good of mankind.

Yup.

I'm for abortion.

A fetus = a lump of growing cells

Cancer = a lump of growing cells

(Think about the similarities)

Each carry burdens. Now I'm not saying children are evil, I'm just saying its a WOMAN's choice not a MAN's choice to tell what a woman can and can't do. When it boils down to it, its the choices. I'm all for safe sex with condoms and pills. I am NOT recommending people to go hog-crazy and go have sex and keep getting abortions. But for the matter of choices, I'm for abortion 100%.

Honeslty? I'm completly against abortion. I don't believe a potential life should be taken away without any hope of ever exsisting.

However, and this is where conflict comes in, I am pro-choice. You can't tell anyone what to do with their bodies without taking away their rights.

So really, while I do not agree with abortion I don't condone anyone who has them, or expect anyone to share my views on the subject.
