i do know what emo is, but i want to hear your guys opinions on emo. so to you guys what do you believe emo is?

i believe emo is a depressed state of mind some people turn to cutting them selves cause they have been hurt to much to feel amotions or anything so they cut them selvs so they feel some thing
or it is a genre of music and cloths style neutral

no no no. emo is a state of mind. Emo means emotional. sorta like bipolor. u can be emo and a prep at the same time. But the word is normaly used to distingwish the dark goth emos that are really dipressed. when used like this the word more often means emotionless.

emo is a state of being emotionaly depressed hense the name emo(emotional) and u dont have to cut ur selves to be emo like lots of emos just randomly burst into tears or get mad for no reason like me

emo is yea a state of emotional depression some cut to feel the pain and releve them selfs of there emotions for a lil bit till the pain eses off. but some dont.

WOW!! you are like the MOST stupid, stereotypical person i have ever met, emo is not cutting yourself, its a remote state of mind, a way to express yourself, sometimes, well, mostly known for cutting, and being hurt. not always, emo's can be happy, it means EMOTIONAL, our emotions get the best of us...which sometimes sucks, but oh well, look out for what you say, kay? (oh and it is not having your bangs cover one eye, wearing a shitload of eyeliner, and skinny jeans okay? just so you know)
