 Miki was wandering through a clear meadow. It was a good day out and he was craving something interesting instead of this boring life he led with certain morals. Perhaps he would meet someone interesting today.

 As usual Birdhouse had no idea where she was going, but in all truthfulness she didn't really care. It's not like she remembered where "home" was anyways. The grass brushed her blue hooves every time she took a step, so she looked down and studied it.
"Trying to tickle me?" Birdhouse giggled at the grass. "Too bad, you need to be taller first." The mare didn't seem to realize she was headed straight for Miki. She was too busy looking down.

Miki flicked his ears back and forth picking up a voice in the distance. "Hello?" He called out before heading off in the direction where the voice was coming from. He then noticed a green mare talking to the grass. Perhaps she would make one to have an interesting conversation with. "Hi...I'm Miki. Who are you?"

"Why hello Miki, nice to meet you," Birdhouse said to the grass, before looking up. Oops, the grass wasn't talking to her after all. She blinked at the stallion. "Oh, hello to you too. They call me Birdhouse, but I have no idea why." She looked quite confused for a moment. "You're name's Miki right? The grass wasn't talking to me, was it?" She looked at him with wide eyes.

Miki couldn't help but chuckle. She definitely was something. "No it wasn't, but if you want to believe it was then go ahead. I don't think anyone knows what can and cannot happen." He nodded his head. "Yes I'm Miki." He cocked his head to the side. "Birdhouse?" He definitely hadn't heard that name before, but it was rather interesting. "So what might you be doing on a gorgeous day like today?"

"Yeah! That's what I think too," Birdhouse said, grinning happily. "I'm out to see if the grass has anything to say today." She looked around to see if anyone else was listening, then started to whisper. "It knows things, you know? Like the future." Then she returned to a normal speaking volume. "Well Miki, would you like to join me? Maybe it'll tell you things too."

Miki smiled. "Well sure I would love to join you. Perhaps it holds more secrets then we realize. Although what type of temperament does the grass have?" He just decided to play along since he didn't like to judge others or live in a harsh reality. If someone wanted to make things up then it was fine for him.

"Oh the grass is very calm and helpful!" Birdhouse exclaimed happily. She was more than a little enthusiastic, especially since Miki hadn't told her she was weird or crazy yet. "Horses like us travel by this way every day and since the grass doesn't move, it keeps itself busy by listening and learning."
Suddenly Birdhouse dropped to her side. Eyes closed, she looked like she had fainted. She stayed that way for a moment before opening an eye to look at Miki. "The grass thinks we were supposed to meet today. Do you know what that means?" Birdhouse looked puzzled.

Miki nodded his head. "I see." He watched her as she listened to the grass. "Really? I think I do, but how can the grass know this stuff?" He was confused, but didn't mind that it was the "grass" that was supposedly telling her things.

Birdhouse rolled in the grass a little, before she got back to her hoofs and stood up. "I think it's because there's so much of it!" Birdhouse reached down and plucked a blade, holding it between her teeth. "A single piece isn't very big, or very smart..." She paused to eat it. No point wasting the thing. "But with so many of them, they can put their heads together, so to speak." Birdhouse giggled a little. "Together they figure things out."
As much as her ideas were all her own, Birdhouse thought she sounded pretty smart, and she was proud that she was able to share so much with Miki. "Want to go for a walk? There's lots of other things to talk to and do."

Miki thought about it for a bit. It did sound a bit smart but a bit odd, nonetheless he didn't mind since it was just as valid as the next arguement. "Yeah...that actually does make more sense then."
He blinked a bit at her second statement. "Sure...a walk sounds fine. What type of things do you want to talk about?"

"Really?" Birdhouse seemed to swell with pride. "Well, what do you want to talk about?" She smiled, waiting for an answer, turning towards the trees. She found a path and started walking along it, looking around curiously.

Miki smiled before shrugging. "Well I'm open to pretty much anything." He paused for a moment thinking of a subject to talk about. "How about we talk about how some horses can be so boring or follow one set schedule?" He didn't know what to talk about, but he wanted to see what type of horses she liked to hang around.

Birdhouse blinked a him, then tilted her head a little oddly to one side. "Schedule? Hmph, it's so boring to stick to a schedule. Every day is exactly the same and blah blah blah..." She made a displeased face, then began to grin again. "It's so much fun doing things differently every day, don't you think?" She blinked at Miki again, wondering if he thought the same way.

Miki nodded his head. "Indeed it is. I used to have to follow one since my parents thought it was right, but I could never truly live out one." He ate some grass and swallowed. "They always said variety was the spice of life."
