Garnet frowned and knocked her hooves off of some rocks along the cave she was in, creating some sparks that went in a well aimed direction and lit her pile of wood. Warming herself against the fire she now had going, she thought about how this would have been much easier if she could just control her own fire...but every time she'd tried...she'd either hurt something or someone...best not to roast herself in this cave, she thought.

The storm outside was pretty horrendous, but Laminar knew he had to find shelter. He kept calm, of course, and looked around. Finally he spied a glowing surrounded by darkness. He moved towards it. Closer he saw it was a fire in a cave. warm th and shelter. He made his way in, not even noticing the other occupant of the cave.

Laminar blinked then bowed his head lightly. "I apologize, I did not realize, but should have. Would you give me leave to stay until the storm has passed?"
