The little Regular had awoken in her dark house with screaming still going on around her; the knife still gripped in her paws was sticky with dark blood... a monsters blood. Once she had struggled woozily to her feet, Amaia had realised that her shoulders and chest was coated in her own congealed blood. That creature had taken a good bit of flesh... but had left before finishing the job. Amaia sobbed; grateful to be alive but knowing she had to get out somehow. She had to escape from here.
Now she was outside her little house, knife still in her paws. She looked up and down the street and then hesitantly began to move towards the city outskirts, crouching down at ever sound. Her heart thumped in her chest rapidly. She was so tired and afraid. How could she ever get out of here.... alive? Amaia stopped at a mountain to get a drink of water; while doing her best to ignore the half-eaten corpse nearby.

Tiernan kept to the shadows as he rushed through the city streets, grinning madly. What a night this was; the smell of blood practically engulfed him as he passed by all sorts of creatures. Within the chaos and panic, the vampire could not resist a bit of fun.
"Excellent," he growled in a low tone, watching a certain Fae heading for the edge of the city. She seemed unaware of her surroundings. Tiernan decided to sneak about and come up behind her as silently as he could. The smell of her blood drifted towards him as she seemed quite wounded. Taking a deep breath, he sighed happily and stopped a few feet from her.
"And what do we have here?" he said in a deep, dark tone. He grinned at her, running his tongue along one fang as he did, simply waiting for her to turn around.

Amaia yelped in surprise, spinning around and nearly falling into the fountain, she raised the knife before her in a trembling grip, expecting to see the creature that had assaulted her earlier there again. “I-I... I’m trying to get out of the city. I have to get out.” The poor thing looked close to a break down; her heart fluttered wildly and blood was matted in her fur. “I-I’m sorry, but I can’t trust anyone... I have to get out, so I can have children and grandchildren and keep cooking.” She babbled as she began walking backwards away from him, trying to create a good distance before she began running.

The dark male tilted his head curiously at the knife. He listened to her stammer on, obviously frightened. "Better have a good grip on that thing if you intend to use it," he hissed. He shook his head at the poor girl as she began walking away. Tiernan growled, then quickly darted towards her. Just before he reached her, he veered to the left and back to the right, then quickly turned. He was now directly behind her, snarling and exposing his fangs. Should she continue to back up, she'd end up right in his arms...

“I-I can use it and I have a good g-grip... I’m a cook.” It seemed like such a silly comeback, but it made her feel better as she said it. Amaia heard his growl and as he moved she lifted her knife and brandished it threateningly. “Get back!” But her eyes couldn’t keep up with the path he was going in and she hardly expected him to end up behind her. She stepped backwards and bumped into something solid. Amaia took in a shuddering breath, peeking over her shoulder into the face of Tiernan. She gave a squeak of surprise and revered the direction of the knife in her paw, stabbing backwards.

As she looked up into his eyes, Tiernan saw just how scared the girl was. Her squeak warned him of the oncoming attack, causing him to step to the side. The knife had just barely pierced his skin, leaving a bit of a scratch. He reached a paw down to touch the wound and discovered he was bleeding. Now the vampire was definitely angry. He backed up two steps, then circled her a few times before appearing on her left side. "You shouldn't have done that," he growled in the deepest tone. The anger of the inner animal then caused him to place his paws on her upper arm. The vampire attempted to shove her, hard, into the fountain he discovered her at.

Poor Amaia was hurt, bloody and terrified. She had never wanted to hurt any living creature and yet she found herself stabbing at terrifying beings with her sharpest carving knife. It really wasn’t fair. Before she could stop herself Amaia uttered an apology, “I-I’m sorry.” This one was a little different than the other one had been and it almost frightened her more.
“No...” Was all she managed to get out before she went tumbling into the fountain. The Regular had managed to keep a hod on her knife, knowing it was her only form of defence and she struggled onto her knees in the water. Coughing, she waited for the creature to come at her again, not trusting her body to be able to get her onto her feet and away.

"Sorry?" he snarled, smiling at her now drenched little figure. Unfortunately, the smell of her blood had subsided as some had been washed into the fountain. Tiernan suddenly let out a cackle which sent shivers down his spine, but those of pleasure. "Why fight?" he growled at her. "You can't win. Why try?" He then ran towards the fountain, but pulled a similar move to end up behind her, just outside of the fountain. "Why don't you run?" It was not as much fun if his prey didn't at least do something, but he realized she was so badly hurt that she probably couldn't.
"You're weak," he simply stated, somewhat disappointed. "You couldn't fend for yourself if you tried, could you?" Without waiting for an answer, Tiernan lunged at her again, not caring that water splashed everywhere. He prepared to use his claws against her anywhere that he could snag.

She was weak right now, Amaia would admit to that. But why fight? Because she wanted to live. She desperately wanted to live and because of that she would not give in, no matter what. But she didn’t have time to utter those words, to explain to him why she would keep on fighting even when she could barely stand. He came at her suddenly and she gasped. Water splashed as he leapt into the ground and was quickly stained red as he began tearing at her skin. Amaia reacted as best she could; stabbing her knife as his face as his claws dug deep into her flesh.
Why couldn’t they just... “Leave me alone!”

The smell of blood intensified once more as Tiernan wounded the poor girl. He saw the water turning a deep red as it trickled down her body. It was a pleasing sight to the vampire, that was for sure. But then he realized it wasn't only her blood that he smelled. The knife had managed to scratch his cheek and just above his eye, the latter a pretty deep wound. The vampire snarled once more as he splashed water about, rinsing his wounds and trying to mess with her vision.
After she yelled, he quickly staggered away from the fountain, only to turn and circle her a few times again. He then came up on her right side and growled at her, "No, I will not. I can't resist a perfect little snack." A cackle rang out from him as he attempted to push her down once more, this time under the surface of the water.

Amaia knelt in the fountain with water and blood dripping from her fur. She felt so very tired. She just wanted to curl up and go to sleep. As best she could the female kept an eye on her opponent, but even just keeping her head up was becoming a terrible strain. When she suddenly found her head underwater and Tiernan’s iron grip keeping her there, she did her best to push herself back up. But all her energy appeared to have deserted her and the knife finally fell from the Regular’s paw as she went limp. She was still awake, listening to her own rapid heartbeat as the lack of air began to send her body into a panic.

Tiernan growled at the poor girl, quite pleased with himself yet disappointed in her. Although, he really couldn't blame her for the beating she obviously handled before he came across her. That was a little impressive, but not by much.
The vampire knelt now beside her and quickly pulled her up and out of the water. He shifted himself and dragged her along so that they were near the edge of the fountain. Without much regard, he dropped her fragile body on the ground and crouched over her. Grinning madly, he shined his fangs at her once more. Then he quickly shot towards her neck, his mouth open just enough to take a good bite, almost positive she could not resist now. Just in case, he rested a paw on her shoulder and pressed his weight on that side to keep her still.

Amaia gasped for breath as soon as her head came out of the water. Depsite coughing out some water, she didn’t struggle against the vampire. With the last of her energy, her spirit had also been cracked. She hit the pavement but it was just another ache for her body to bear. The female stared upwards, tears running down her cheeks as Tiernan went in for his prize. One paw fluttered upwards to his shoulder, pushing gently there as he bit down on her neck, a weak attempt to push him away. Very soon she felt darkness consume her as her blood was sucked from her body.
