Rath lounged over a crystal clear brook, fixing his mane. "You sneaky devil," he said suavely with a flirtatious grin to his reflection. On his mind was the last few days. Yesterday he had stolen an entire feast from a pride's fruitful afternoon hunt. His stomach still bulged with satisfaction.

The day before that, he joined a traveling recruiting pride. That was only for a quick meal and their knowledge of the lands further out. And the look of those prides had given him an idea. The life of a lone thief was fun but too small. He wanted to be part of the big leagues. He needed to form a band of thieves. They would be feared, honored, and set into history. Rumors would become legends. They would be thought of as Gods.

So he sent out Zunder, his hired partner, to send out the message that Rath The Violet Wind was looking for recruits. No one had ever met him face to face and known him by his real name. Now he was willing to let it out in the open. But if this information was let out to the wrong lions Rath could be murdered... after all he was a wanted lion. He had broken many hearts and stolen many meals.

Rath wasn't all bad, and the crimes he committed weren't unforgivable. Well, most of them weren't. He treats everyone with the utmost respect, though he does also think of ways to use them. His kleptomania only started with getting revenge on the pride he was born in. They treated him unfairly as a cub. Silent anger lead to hatred, then plotting for revenge. Next thing he knew he was running away from his first of many homes. These thoughts about his past replaced his smirk with a nervous frown. "I'm not a kleptomaniac. I can quit this life, and I will. Just not now. Now while I'm ahead. When I find a place where I no longer need to run I'll stop this game. But for now-" he grinned and combed his fur, "I have my first interview." He looked over a lion coming closer to the brook. He or she didn't look familiar.

Noah had been busy all day. A few hours he managed to catch a hare. How proud he was of himself. Hunting was going better these days.See, I can survive just fine~ He thought by himself. Someone wouldn't make fun of him so quickly anymore. Such days always lightened his mood.
The sun stood low now and reddish colors filled the sky. In the distance Noah recognized the shadow of another lion. It was alone it seemed. No need to be scared. He stood still for a moment, hesitating. Should he approach him or walk the other way?

Rath stood and wandered over to the approaching lion. He looked the stranger over. In his head he started making memos. 'He looks very unique. True that might be bad because he can be recognised easily. Still, I shouldn't jump to conclusions. I might be staring down the world's strongest lion and not even know it.' When he got close enough he greeted the stranger.

"You're the first one here all day. I do hope I wasn't hard to find," he said, ignorantly assuming that the lion was here for an appointment. His voice was welcoming with a friendly laugh placed here and there between words.

User Image Suddenly, a shape separated from the shadows, and female lion padded ever so quietly to join the two males. She was small for her age, and rather lithe of limb, with a long, whipping tail. She rather politely sat down and, with a great amount of grace and dignity, licked her paw a few times before bringing said appendage to her ear, bright eyes going from male to male as she waited for Rath to finish speaking.

Once he had, she stood again and hooked her claws into the ground and stretched her body forward in what almost looked like a bow, her rump up in the air. "Greetings." she murmured softly, her voice a silky purr as she straightened. "I seek Rath The Violet Wind. Would you be he?" The male certainly looked like he fit the name, she thought, noting his coloring. But was he really a thief? She'd half been expecting a mean, scarred old lion who actually looked the part, not this friendly seeming male. But then, maybe that's what made him such a good thief.

Rath's ears twitched and turned toward a faint voice close beside him. His eyes followed. Before him was a small lioness to match the small voice. She truly embraced her appearance because Rath didn't see her coming at all. Before Rath saw the other male across the plains, all he could hear was the brook ever so faintly. He didn't hear any paw steps, breathing, or grass shifting. I could say Rath was surprised and impressed but above all he was thrilled. He needed someone that stealthy.

He looked the lioness over, much like the other lion. She didn't look familiar. Hopefully she wasn't an enemy, and in fact here for his plans. "That I would," he said with another one of his sly grins, "Thank you for coming. Though I have the feeling you've been here longer than it seems."

Just then it hit him; this lioness might have heard him talking to himself a moment ago. He couldn't remember his exact words but it wasn't a proud moment that's for sure. He only let his face show it's inner worry for a second before he caught himself and allowed the look of confidence to return.

She arched a brow as she saw a hint of worry chase itself across his face. It was there ever so briefly, but she kept it in the back of her mind; she might be able to use it to her advantage if she could figure out why it was there. Then she smoothed her face out into a smile and stepped forward, before starting to circle Rath, inspecting him carefully. "I am Sunita." she offered as she moved gracefully, tail snaking through the air. "And I have heard many things about you."

When she came back to stand in front of him again, her smile had widened ever so slightly, and her eyes were sparkling. "Most of them very uncomplimentary, at least they are if you aren't in the same way of thinking. I happen to admire you." She stuck her face right into his, their noses practically touching, and whispered, "I wish to join you. I want to learn from you. Let me."

Rath purred, "Well, I can't say no if you ask like that... Sunita." She must have heard along with that gossip that The Violet Wind was a sucker when it came to flattery especially from a lioness. He didn't move his face, despite how difficult most would find it to talk from this distance. The view was enjoyable. He could see every detail of her eyes, and they looked as though she spoke sincerely... Or she had a lot of practice with persuasion. But, Rath didn't think that far into the situation. Wether or not she was lying to him, he could care less. He enjoyed the moment of acclaimation.

"You've already got into my gang as far as I'm concerned, but can you pull your wait. Tell me about yourself. Strengths? Weaknesses? Any goals?" He asked, finally moving his face to a reasonable distance.
