Time had been kind to the lion. He had aged well, and into a fine male. He was large, larger than even Caelyn was. He had always been so proud that he had grown the biggest of the family.
But he supposed it was what happened when one was a descendant of a Da'lin. The most dangerous lions in existence.
He vaguely remembered his sister Circe. She had been given to their bloodfather to raise. She had too much anger with Nyxie, and his poor young mother had not been able to handle such a female.
His large paws crushed the sand underneath them as he yawned and stretched out. He loved to sunbathe. Something he was incredibly good at was sunbathing. He could never get enough.
He stretched out further, and rolled onto his back with a great purr.
Oh life was good, especially when you got away from your mother now and then.
Even as a full grown male he was a mothers boy, and he was likely always going to be.

Rahali silent watched the lion from a distance, noting how relaxed he seemed. Life thus far had taught her caution and of hard work. With slow, measured step she started toward the male, mulling over his lax nature in her mind. Logic told her that it one, must be a safe and peaceful place for him to have let his guard down in such a way but another part of her told her that, duh, he was a male and didn’t need to be so uptight. It wasn’t as if he was watching over anyone at the moment anyway.
Cautiously she reached the spot where he lay casually in the sun, keeping a relatively distance from him. “Hello there.” She said softly, believing full well that he was already aware of her presence but not wanted to startle him none-the-less.

If Adonis had noticed the female, he would not have been so lax in lying out in the middle of the sunlight, trying to catch as many rays as he could. He would have been over there chatting her up the best way he knew how.
He loved the females. He loved them alot, and had never been able to choose just one to keep him company.
He opened one sapphire eye and looked at her with a sigh. When he noticed she was female, he pushed himself up, opening both eyes. He smiled at her, standing proudly, as a male should always do..Or at least thats the way it was in his mind.
"Why, hello."
He purred, his golden mane gleaming in the sunlight.
Oh she was pretty. Her browns mingling together made her dreamy. She had the prettiest eyes he had ever seen, of course, excluding his own.

Instinctively Rahali returned the smile, still keeping herself at what she deemed a safe distance. She looked out around them carefully, examining the area. “Is this where you live? Is it your territory?” She asked uncertainly, looking back at him.
His natural colours where a relief, nothing flashy or unusual. To many times had she seems lions roam the land that were blue or pink, easily drawing unnecessary attention to themselves. The only really colour was his eyes, a pretty blue. Just like a lion should be.

He had always been so full of pride at how gorgeous he had been born. His natural colors, his handsome lineage. His mother had always told him he was an amazing specimen..When she wasnt off with Caelyn that is.
He smiled once more, shaking his head a bit.
"Ah, no."
He replied shaking his head. He was good at being charming, when he wasnt being mean. It was easy to be mean, when others sometimes didn't see your superiority.
"I wander. Though I live in a den with my mother and father a little ways off. Im thinking of leaving it though."
He winked.

“Oh, I see.” Rahali replied, looking him over again. “You do look old for that.” She said without thinking, already in her mind picturing two equally large males and a female crammed into a small den. It made her laugh a little inside.
“Where will you go then? Wander around more or settle into your own den?” She asked as she started to walk a circle around him. He didn’t look much like a wandered, more a comfy den lion. “I’ll bet you’ll settle down, find a mate and have cubs.” She ventured, doubting his wanderlust highly.

He snorted a bit, rolling his eyes. She would do nicely to not mock him... But he sucked it up, and nodded.
"Yes, one of the reasons I'm leaving, as I said before." He replied, trying not to have a bit of a snide tone.
His smile found its place once again as he remembered it was a female he was speaking with.
"I do not mate, my darling."
He chuckled.
"I collect. I collect beautiful females, though, I cannot say that I do not love them. I would not have them if I did not love them."
He nodded a bit, trying not to scare her, but trying not to let her believe something that would never happen.
He could not mate. Not to one female. He would mate to several before his life was through. The more females he had, the more wealthy he was.

Rahali blinked in surprise at the slight change in his tone, barely there but noticeable to someone paying attention. She thought on the comment, and what she had said then smiled, he hadn’t let his irritation show much. “Nothing wrong with living with parents though, community is strong as a rule but experience is valuable and a grown son with just Mother and Father could get awkward I mean.” She kept her tone passive, as if no slight had been made in the first place. She had more information she needed to weasel out of him, and angering him would not do well.
“You mate multiple females then.” She stated, looking at him suspiciously. “Not collect like object, of course.” While it seemed obvious to her that one male would be mated multiple females it did bother her to be implied as an object.
“Because of course a male would have mates, not just trophies which he would display, right?” She sat down in front of him, after noting his physical condition. He was definitely a large male, which did say that he would be able to protect his family adequately, though he seemed to think highly of himself. “But do tell, how many females are in your collection?”

He shook his head, snorting a bit.
"Darling did you hear what I told you? I love them dearly, these mates I take. I do not take them as objects, or trophies. Though I like showing them off as trophies. If you know what I mean." He answered, not wanting her to think that of him at all.
His mates were everything to him, he just couldnt pick one over the other, and theyd each get to spend time with him.
"Well, I have none at the moment." He smiled a bit, his eyes growing a tad seductive.
"But I would like it, should you decide you wanted to join me. Id love to get to know you. You are quite beautiful, you know."

“I really wouldn’t know, being that I judge males and all.” She said in surprise, he was forward alright. “You’re not to bad yourself but first I do believe I should know your name.”
Despite herself Rahali was smiling. “I am Rahali and you have an amazing level of self-confidence, has anyone ever told you that?” She asked, “It’s a good thing, if you’ve done something to deserve it. You certainly are attractive and a charmer but what are your other qualities?”

He snorted a bit.
"Im great at most everything. I can hunt, I am a great lover." He added with a wag of his eyebrows, though he shook his head and chuckled.
"I am Adonis. I am son of Nyxie and Caelan."
He didn't dare tell her that his father was a Da'lin. He would never tell any female that as long as he lived.
In fact, he would do his best to keep that hidden for life.

“That’s not egotistical at all!” She said with a laugh and swatted at him playfully. “Great at most everything.”
“I’m sure they are proud parents to have a son so handsome and charming, skilled at hunting and a great lover. Every parent’s dream, I am sure.” She teased, smiling at him.
“So once you’ve got your beautiful mates, of which I would be the most beautiful of course, where will you live with them? Near here, by your proud parents?” She asked, jumping up and looking around once more, this time with more purpose. “It’s not a bad location…”

He grinned madly, his eyes gleaming. He could tell he had hooked her. He thought her the prettiest female around to date, and of course he would consider her as such.
"Of course you'd be the most beautiful. Im picky in my ladies." He said, with a chuckle and a nod.
But he looked at her, blue eyes bright as he spoke once more.
"My parents, are going to start a pride. Im thinking, that I may join that pride, or start my own with my harem."
He said with a nod.

“If your parents start a pride and we joined it, it would be a larger community. Communities are the place to raise cubs.” She said firmly, completely believing that cubs should be raised surrounded by a loving family, a large one at that. “I think that would be wisest, but ultimately the choice would be yours of course. You would keep in mind that at the moment you have a harem of possibly one, of course.”
She paused and took a deep breath, thinking hard. No, she didn’t love Adonis; it was much too soon to think herself in love. But, he had a family and a level of security she was more than comfortable with; she looked back at him and smiled. This was a situation she could easily get used to. “Do you have siblings then?”

He knew she had not said yes yet, and that it might even take some time. He was rather sure that eventually she would give in, it would only take time.
He smiled and flicked his tail, letting it touch her as he walked closer to her, almost as if inspecting her. But to him, it was more of a lookover.
He smiled with what he saw, and nodded once more.
"Ah, siblings. Turns out I have two sisters. Lord knows where the two have gone. I try not to think about them often."
He snorted a bit, but went back to his charming facade.
"I could likely never leave my family. So Id likely stay in these lands, surrounded by them. They are safe. We'd have a good home there."
He replied, calling what she and he had, a we..He hadnt even really thought about it, but he was good at talking without thinking first.
