The name highly in reference to the red path left behind as this section of the forest stretches over. It is the towards the southern section where the forest is. This side of the forest in particular is one of the more violent sections due to the fact that it's breeding grounds for many man eating beast sized creatures that prey on lesser beasts in the area. For that reason the old villagers of Trance say is said that the ground retains bloodstained red from the constant fighting and bloodshed taken place. It is also believed that the roots of the wildlife in this area thrive on these blood soaked grounds.
