Bio/History:
Kanan's mother and father were mages who fell in love while fighting to close the "Doorway". He was born on the day a fire spirit raged from the "Doorway" into Trance Village. His mother and father used their magic to seal the spirit into Kanan in hopes that he could use its power to help out in their struggle against the creatures from the "Doorway".
When the spirit was sealed its power burst forth from the boy as he had no control over it. His sister was lucky that she was away at the time. He had killed his mother and father and his sister hated him for it. She refused to raise him so she handed him off to one of the women in the Venom Death Gang. The woman she left him with asked her the baby's name and she only muttered "Kanan"
He grew up with his fellow gang members and learned from them. He learned how to pickpocket, how to haggle, and how to generally survive the streets of Trance Village. As he grew the leaders took an interest in him.
The three brothers that lead the gang started to train Kanan in martial combat. They knew he was no threat because they had keepsakes and he didn't so they made him into their personal killing machine. He quickly became secluded from his fellow gang members after he killed one for getting in the way of one of his "marks".
When Kanan turned 15 he turned on his "masters"and killed them by luck. He took their keepsakes and fled into the Wikia Woods where he was found by a magic caste tribesman who took him in. He asked the man if someone could teach him how to activate the keepsakes he now possessed. The man agreed but told the boy that not all people could use keepsakes. He quickly found that he was one of those lucky people that could and started training with them right away.
He left the magic caste tribesman after he was trained to activate the keepsakes. By then people started to spread rumors about him murdering people under the cover of darkness with the chains and his blade. He was hunted by his former gang members for his foul deeds and he killed all who came at him. He quickly garnered the hate of everyone he had met besides the magic caste tribesman.
The tribesman one day found one of his fellows slain with Kanan standing over him with his sword covered in blood. The tribesman was furious and attacked Kanan. Kanan used his chains to restrain the tribesman while he ran him through with his blade. From then on he trusted no one and interacted with very few. He now sleeps where he can find shelter and always keeps one eye open just in case some fool tries to take his life or his possessions.
