Orelinde stood outside of the woods, taking in the deep scent of the air. Today was the perfect day for some practice. She trotted out and toward the stream, where if anything happened, she could put the fires out easily.

Pyrrhus was once again exploring the Valley. He still hadn't been over to the Nightmare Valley but he was content to explore here. He always seemed to find something new and interesting here so why leave. He had just stumbled upon a stream and was following it. He was curious as to where it went.

Orelinde spotted the male and dodged behind a tree. He was not elven, that was for sure. But he was so close to her home...She stepped out into the open, calling, "Hail! Who goes there?"

Pyrrhus nearly tripped when someone called out to him. "Huh?!" He said getting his balance back, "Uh.... Pyrrhus?" He spotted the female as she stepped out into the open. "And who would you be?" The female was very pretty, her color screaming red and reminding him of fire. This made him smile since he loved fire.

"Hello Orelinde." Pyrrhus said smiling, "I was exploring! Always finding new things. Like this forest. I just started following this stream here and ended up way in here."

"And who did you say you were?" She eyed him cautiously, strangers were odd in these parts.

Pyrrhus shook his head. Did she miss it when he said his name the first time. "It's Pyrrhus." He said noticing how she was looking at him, "What? Is there something wrong with me exploring?"

"Pyrrhus...you do not look like a Drow..." Orelinde smiled tentatively. "Nothing is wrong with exploring. I am just surprised. Most turn back by now."

Pyrrhus tilted his head. Even though he's traveled most of Dream Valley he still has managed to miss word of the Drows. "What's a Drow?" He asked smiling at her smile, "Nah not me. I keep going on. The most interesting things tend to appear after all the hard stuff."

Orelinde relaxed, "It is good that you do not know that word. The Drow are evil beings, bent on destroying my family and my home. I am relieved you are friend and not foe."

Pyrrhus tilted his head even more. "If they're evil and bent on destroying your family and home..... What does that make you?" He asked curious.

"Part elf and proud! My people live at peace with the natural world, and do not wish to hurt any. Yet the Drow live to kill those who dwell in the light! They are a vicious race." She stamped her hoof hard into the ground, and if it were possible, her face flushed a darker red from her sudden rise in temper.

A part elf?! Holy cow! Pyrrhus couldn't believe he was finally meeting someone who had elf blood. "Whoa! That's cool!" He said frowning after a second, "Not the thing with the Drows..... The part about you being part elf." He stared at the ground still frowning. "Was it really necessary to pound your hoof into the ground like that?"
