The moon left a faint glow across the layers of snow that seemed to nestle itself across the open field. His body hung close to the darken tree line avoiding coming anywhere near close to the open space itself. How long had it been since he had dared to venture out from the dark black pit that he had called home? Even the full moon’s light hurt his eyes as it seem to come gleaming down from the so called heaven above. A hiss seemed to erupt from the bottom of his lungs as the nub of where his once broad wing had rested began to ache for the seemingly cold etching its way across the skin. A wicked grin started to appear upon his rotting jaw, there was nothing better than spending a little time out hunting in the open air was there? Maybe with his luck he would come across some sweet natured beast that he could coo into his shadow, something that would allow him to lick his lips with a sweet taste of sweat of fear seeping across their bodies. There was nothing better than the meal of fear to end a once adventurous day.
However for the moment the night seemed to remain still. Not even the small hint of a tweeting bird seemed to echo in the light forest causing his mood to rather flatten out even more. Maybe a small fish from the lake would sooth his quench for something to merely snack on though with the cool water there was little doubt that he would be able to get very far with the ice coating it like a heavy sheet. His heart gave another thump against his chest as it hung neatly like a necklace around his neck. Even it was started to reject the cold the longer he remained out in the open. Too bad nothing pretty had come its way to warm it up for him; it had been quite a while before he had the luxury to embrace such frivolous little things. It would be a while too before he would dare to let another body come near him.

Pupiless eyes scanned the glowing area, but she saw nothing. A faint growl slipped from the mare's stomach. There was no grass or leaves and no animals in sight. Her tail lashed wildly as the mare pulled herself through the snow, which she almost seemed to blend with. Morana's muzzle twitched as her nostrils flared, the faint scent of blood filled her lungs. What was the blood from? Had some lucky beast found a weak creature?
Her steps were light and graceful. The snow barely showed signs of the mare's presence. As the scent grew stronger, the mare's heart began to pound against her chest and ring in her ears. When she saw a large figure, the mare let out a soft giggle and walked towards the figure as if nothing could harm her. "Good evening..." Her voice was soft and angelic, but her mind filled with malicious thoughts. Oh how she was hungry.

The large black stallion's ears perked up as he heard a voice, now that was rather thrilling. Her sweet voice lulled in his ears, it was about time the evening started to pick up a little pace and he was sure that she would be rather amusing to meet. His eyes noticed her figure moving towards him her pure white fur that soon revealed bits dipped in blood as her wings tucked neatly to her side. So she was of a mixed breed neither good nor evil just merely pure chaos tossed into one little body she was of a mind easily warped to start with. His large body was once the same as her but the years of rotting fleshed melted away what was left of such little promising thoughts of hope.
“My my my what a pretty lady to meet on such a wonderful night don’t you agree?” He replied a grin edging across his face pulling the once stitched face taunt. You always caught more flies with sugar than you did with bittersweet water no? Of course this was only when his mood fancied such little trivial greetings in the beginning.
“So to whom do I owe such an honor to?” He continued his slanted red eyes kept their gaze on her. Judging from her voice she was looking for something not someone in hopes of probably filling a somewhat starving appetite.

Morana watched the large stallion closely. He was strange... His dead-looking flesh and bits of muscle and bones sticking out. The scent of his blood filled the air around the two of them, causing Morana's eyes to narrow on the stallion. Her ears twitched and her tail snapped back and forth. She noted where there was once a horn and where there was only a nub for a wing. So he couldn't fly... She smirked and tried to suppress a small giggle. He seemed to be weaker than she was.
Her mind snapped back to reality and she suddenly seemed a bit more calm. "I must agree that it is a wonderful night." Morana looked up to the stallion for a moment before she noticed the scent of blood once again. This stallion wasn't good to be around.
The softness that once concealed her face now melted and revealed a cold glare. She did no feel like answering his questions any longer. She wanted food and she wanted it now. Curse these thoughts that filled her mind! Curse her mixed blood...
