Strongholds: Paris(half of the city), and a military base set up in Lille
Prominent Groups/Gangs/Individuals: Many lone survivors, French Military in Lille

As one of the few cities to be able to hold the infected off long enough to make a plan, French citizens held fast, holding down pockets of Paris long enough for the remaining military and citizens to take control of half of the city, the other half however, is almost completely infected.The population, just like in every other country, has dropped dramatically, and 35% of Paris's original population made it through the first three years of the Z war. There are few survivors on the streets now. In Lille things weren't much better. The French milital group stationed there was joined by more in the upcoming years. They have been rescuing survivors as frequently as possible, but they are beginning to fall as well. One zone in particular has the people of France frightened, the Catacombs. This vast underground network of tunnels was thought at the beginning of the outbreak to be a haven for survivors, but once the infection got in, blocking the entrance/exit, the rest of the survivor's inside were swiftly infected by zombies that were much more at home in the dark, dry caverns than the living.

(:O OMG U TOTALLY EPICAFIED MY ORIGINAL VERSION OF FRANCE. Dang that was even better then mine) Vincent sighed as he looked down at what was once Paris,France and shook his head sadly...the once great place has now been reduced to a battlefeild of Infected vs. Survivors, or the aftermath of it anyway. Vincent looked over at Claire andfrowned...she must've been feeling like total hell right now...

Claire just stared out the window in silence. She looked completely emotionless. However if you looked deep into her eyes you could see she was trying not to cry. This was her homeland. The place where she was born and raised. She just hoped her mothers cafe was still intact.

Vincent put a hand on her shoulder as she was looking around at what was once Paris, then turned his full attention to driving the chopper. After awhile of flying around he pointed to a hospital with a helicopter landing zone on top of it. "Devons nous poser de Claire ?"


(translation:Should we land there, Claire?)

Claire just continued to stare out. "Oui." She said in a very cold and quiet tone. She knew that hospital. She was born there. Her great grandmother died there. And a lot of her friends went there when they were very sick or when they broke their bones.

Vincent nodded as he shifted the stick toward the hospital and slowly and steadily lands on the building and Vincent then got out of the chopper and pulled out his Desert Eagle and looked over to Claire to see if she was ready to go into the hospital.

Claire stepped out of the helicopter and pulled out her knife. She stared at it and though to herself. Father...Mother...Please be okay. She stared at Vincent as she gripped her knife tightly. She nodded slightly.

Vincent led the way to the door that led into the hospital and signaled for Claire to cover him. Then he kicked in the door and pull out a flashlight from his backpack and equipped it on his Handgun and activated it. "Damn, il fait sombre ici hein ?"


(translation biggrin amn, it's dark in here huh?)

Claire nodded slightly at Vincents comment and stood close to him. She twirled her knife in her hand so the blade was pointing behind her. She then brought her knife up, ready to stab at anything that may come. IF anything came.

Vincent then walked fown the stairs below them to another door and opened it, revealing an empty hallway with all the doors closed and a bit of blood on the floor. Vincent tensed when he heard something strange....it sounded like pained moaning. Not like a zombie...Vincent looked at Claire. "Vous pouvez entendre ? Qu'est-ce que c'est?"

Chloe gasped a little and stepped back a little in fear. She was hesitating. You could see the fear on her face. She had fought them before but it had been a while and she didn't want to have to do it again. She held her knife close to her as her body started to quiver a little. "Je ne veux pas les combattre encore... " She said in a soft frightened tone.

Translation: I don't want to fight them again...

"Je ne pense pas que c'est possible d'éviter quelque chose comme que Claire. Mais. Qui n'a pas sembler un zombie, peut-être que c'est un survivant." Vincent then began to walk down the dark hallway toward one of the doors. The sound wasn't coming from there, so he moved on. After awhile, as they were walking, the pained moaning grew louder until they reached a door at the end of the hallway. Vincent put his hand on the door at the ready and looked back and signaled for Claire to watch their backs, and he opened the door...

(translation:I don't think it's possible to avoid something like that Claire. But come on. That doesn't sound like a zombie, maybe it's a survivor.)

Claire's eyes widened and her heart just about stopped when she saw what was behind that door. It was a zombie. Your typical rotting zombie. It started to slowly walk towards Claire. She wanted to run but she just froze up. She couldn't move.
