It was a quiet evening amongst the forest of Telk. Spring had started to emerge in numerous ways. The ground was drying up, buds grew on the trees, and birds had started returning to their nests. A lone wold enjoyed the serene landscape, happy to be by herself, for once. This elder wolf, known as Lera. Walked slowly along the soft earthy ground, down an untrodden path. This opened up onto a small pond, where the female laid to rest under an equally old willow. Her aging bones ached as she curled up amongst the roots of the tree. Lera was happy to be alone for once, as the forest had become busy in recent years, but still her mind remained clouded. She had yet to find inner peace. The seer, as her title was given, peered around her. She could hear a deer's thoughts from across the water, birds chatted amongst the branches, and squirrels argued in the distance. Yet this wolf had many titles bestowed upon her, some not so nice. But that's the way life went, isn't it? Lera had become bitter as she had gotten older. Her children had grown, and most were disappointments. Especially her grandson, North, whom she had tried to pass along her knowledge to. He was her most recent failure.
She sighed, and let her mind be at ease, for now. She did not fear the woods or any of its inhabitants. She only found calmness. After all, the calm forest helped delude her memories, which she had the curse of never forgetting.
(sorry its short, just something to get us going smile I didn't want to give anything away in the first post that Lera could teach him smile )
