I bet this girl is going to get this letter from her fifteen year old self and then commit suicide: Quote: "its me skank! Dear FutureMe, you(I) just got your(MY) hair dyed my hair for the first time ever to extreme ash blonde last night while hanging out with lisa and kayla! and it looks smexydelish! i just made that up, i have never ever said that before! wow i like it! imma say it allll the time now! hehahahalmfkl vbjkljhdfklgo we be gettin crunk last night. actually we only drank one smirnoff each but whatever. it was delishhhh hehehesjhsdjhvbnjdfhbjfg yessahhh oh wow. and ryan scared the ******** ******** out of us!! he texted us and was like mom found out! and we were like wtff!! what did she find out?! then he said they were coming to get us and it was like 2 or soemthing in the morning! and we were(mostly I) hysterical! we were running around hiding the smirnoff bottles and i was just going crazy! then the dumbass said he was kidding. he was just bored at work! woww we were ******** pissed! ahah but now its funny! lmao I know I would. And no offense to you fifteen year olds. I know all of you here aren't like that.

But on a less emo note; we did something like this in high school.
My physics teacher senior year had everyone in her classes spend the last day of school before graduation writing a letter to ourselves that would be sent to us the last day of the school year the year following graduation. She also had us put something in the letter, as a token or something. I didn't have anything I could actually part with, so a friend of mine gave me his bus pass since he didn't need it anymore.
I was expecting it, but like... I'd completely forgotten what I'd written to myself. The letter was hopeful for the future, and questions about where I was now, blah blah...
It actually made me feel really bad about myself when I read it sweatdrop

I've done this once. I went to an art school for part of my junoir year and at the end we wrote letters and the school said they'd send them out in a 2 years.
I completely forgot and when mine came I read it and I serious want to smack myself because I sounded so dumb....I think teachers make you do this to prove to you later on how stupid you sounded years before lol.

I found my English journal from my high school freshman year the other day. The whole time thinking... "I wrote this crap?" >.<
It's definitely a good tool to see how you've improved.
I don't like the idea of sending yourself a letter after you've graduated. A lot of people don't complete the things they expected of themselves, so it'd really just be disappointing. (Including myself. D: )
