I don't think it's unusual. Me and my brother once had the exact same dream with the difference that we were in our own PoV during the events that happened. Otherwise, the sequence of events was the same. He started telling the story at breakfast the next morning or we would never have known.
And y'know, the chances of us both having a dream about a friend of mine, matchbox cars, and dragons in the neighbors swimming pool in the same sequence doesn't really make sense if there's not some parapsychological link there.
I've had several recurring dreams. For years I kept seeing the same woman in one of my dreams who did pretty much the same thing as 'This Man' was doing, acting as a guide of sorts- but I've never actually seen that dude.
I STILL have recurring dreams about: An arcade, a school, and a house with impossible physics.

Seen it before (the site, that is). Never dreamed of him. I rarely remember my dreams, unless they're unusually weird or its a nightmare. I tend to remember those pretty well. :/

Yep. But, I know when I'm dreaming because I can't actually feel anything. Like, if I picked up a rock in my dream, I'd know it was in my hand but I wouldn't have the sensation that I was holding it. It's like playing a 1st person video game that doesn't follow the laws of physics or make any sense what-so-ever.

I remember most of my dreams
they are usually about someone I talked to before I went to bed
or something I did before I went to bed
unless I'm in an unusual mood and I dream about that

I hardly ever dream about people I know, and I can usually feel things- like textures and weight and whatnot.
Usually pretty awesome, not so much in violent dreams or in dreams where I get hit in the face.
I usually wake up with nose bleeds and scratches.

well this whole topic reminds me of the movie waking life
anyways out of the theories given on that site here are the ones i think are most credible in the order of what i think is most to least credible imo
DREAM IMITATION THEORY
this 1 makes the most sense to me especially because there's a website about it (1 that can easily be overlooked/forgotten)
DAYTIME RECOGNITION THEORY
this one also makes a lot of sense to me because Ive had dreams where i saved the world with a crew of 20 people & i can't think of a single 1 of their faces but i could easily just put that face on 1 of those bodies & convince myself that he was there
ARCHETYPE THEORY
this is my favorite theory because i do like the idea that our dreams are connected & any characters in your dreams could be some1 else half way across the world having the same dream or a long list of other random things but just because i like something doesn't mean i believe it
DREAM SURFER THEORY
i was really iffy about the dream surfer theory but it really wouldn't surprise me if there was at least 1 person (out of the 50 billion on earth) who had found a way to enter peoples dream (probably by accident & doesn't even realize that he's doing it)
