The point of this thread is an in-character checkpoint before and after RP's occur off of pack land. It is here Rummy will give his orders and later be told of the outcome of the Brotherhood's snooping. There is no requirement for anyone to actually post in this thread; it can simply be assumed that everyone heard the orders and that Rummy heard about the missions. However, you are encouraged to post your responses to Rummy if you like! This thread will also link to the other plot RPs.

The pack felt strong again, or as strong as it could under the circumstances. It still needed fresh blood, and its upper echelon was thin -- Rummy was still silent on his picks for betas -- but the members were once again coming together as a true Brotherhood.

When he oversaw their gatherings, their hunts, their squabbles, Rummy felt a surge of something that was almost joy in the work he was doing, restoring the pack. He felt he had done all he could within their borders.

Now was the time to turn his sight outward.

He had gathered all who wished to taste the blood of the traitor here at the meeting pit, to inform them of his next desired step. They would obey, because he was alpha, of course, but also because they all hated the traitor. It was always nice to have that extra incentive.

"You know why you are here," he said as his introduction. "The traitor was last spotted in the lands of a mercenary pack. Secret, hidden." He did not reveal how he had obtained this information. "You will find them in this area." He drew a map in the dust with his forepaw. "To be more exact is impossible but the stink of wolf will be strong enough." He looked up at them again, eyes grazing cooly over a series of red emblems. "Find where he is. Kill him if you can. If you cannot, come back with information."

He did not appoint a leader, not for this first outing; he would kill two hares with one swipe, as it were, and allow them to sort out their own leader. Knowing which one could hold that position would be useful.

Okeetee had volunteered almost the instant he heard that the Traitor had the gall to show himself in pack lands once again. He had been but a pup in those days, a frightened little thing bent on only surviving. Since then he had grown to be a large, strong wolf and his mind and heart were both with his god.

Hate and loathing filled him at the simple thought of the one who dared to test his pack and his pelt bristled as Rummy spoke. His pale, golden eyes followed the red wolf's paw, taking in and memorizing the map the best he could.

Mercenaries. Fun.

But he would do his best and wore his cloak proudly, eager to fulfill this first and vital mission as a true brother the best as possible.

"I think I speak for all of us when I say we shall do our best, Sir." He replied, his tail wagging just slightly. He was no longer an adolescent, one meant to be seen and not heard, but a true brother amongst his own kindred. It would be hard to miss seeing the happiness in his respectful stance towards his god, though distaste and hatred towards Rotiart was obvious.
