Had a good experience at a tattoo or piercing studio in your area? Post about them here! Include websites, myspace pages, facebook pages, etc., help them advertise!
*Note: DO NOT include places you do not have personal experience with. Do not include names of piercers or tattoo artists you have not had any experience with. That's like hearsay to me, and inappropriate name-dropping will not be tolerated. If you don't know them/haven't talked to them/they haven't pierced or tattooed you PERSONALLY, do not talk about them directly.

http://www.theholelook.com/I went here for my first tattoo and all piercings (minus septum and tongue). The shop is the cleanest I have ever seen (and the cleanest in Anchorage, Alaska) and everyone there is super nice, informative, and professional. I got pierced by Blake Thomas, who is by far the best piercer I have ever met (almost apprenticed him before I moved). My sister got pierced by Taryl Cordova because Blake wasn't there. He was just as good but not as funny. We both agreed Blake was better. My sister and I also got tattooed by Reed Leslie who is just as nice as the rest of them. They are located at 2817 Dawson st (between Northern Lights and Benson) Anchorage, AK 99515http://www.ultimatetattoosd.com/site/This is where I am getting my half sleeve done at by Greg "The Rabbit" Nicola. He has had his work on the cover of various tattoo magazines and is just an overall amazing artist and as nice as can be. He knows how to make you feel comfortable while getting tabbed thousands of times with a needle. They are located at 6784 El Cajon Bvd San Diego, CA 92115Greg Nicola will no longer be at Ultimate Tattoo SD though as he is opening his own shop called Armored Ink. Not sure on the address yet but will post as soon as I get it.

THE FALL Its in Vancouver, BC, Canada. I've read some reviews on them. I don't know much about them though, since I am on the other side of Canada and all XDDD But apparently they are very good. They are all very artistic too, there is a video on the site right now displaying a recent Toy art gallery that all the Tattoo and Piercing employee's contributed too. [I realise I broke rule #1 here though XDD] New TribeToronto, Ontario, Canada I have such a hard-on for them :/ They are very good about their work. They are knowledgable, and everything you'd want your Artist to be. My sister got her Labret done there almost 6 years ago? [give or take] and it healed perfectly. No problems with her teeth and gums, no embedding, no swelling, no actual heavy maintenance was needed [apparently]. The guy was so kind, they actually started to hit on each other. xD

Rising Sun. Located in downtown Regina, SK. They are probably one of the most popular shops in the city; super clean and do wonderful work. Their piercer Laura is great; and is willing to go in depth with cleaning and care. They also sell little baggies of sea salt so you don't have to go out and search for it if it's your first piercing. You also get a sticker after your piercing or tattoo. =D A little on the pricer side since they only use CBR's and Internally threaded jewelry.
Planet Caravan!~ Also located in Regina, SK. They don't have a site so here's the number (306)352-2666. ;p I've been pierced by Danny 12 times by him and he's done an amazing job each and every time. n____n Very clean; and willing to go over every little detail about aftercare. Prices are pretty average; $50 for one piercing $85 for two.

Infinite Body Piercing Philadelphia, PA, 626 S.4th street (About 1 block off South Street) This place is one of the best places to be pierced.EVER.PERIOD. Every piercer in the shop is APP certified, among various other certifications. the staff are all very friendly and knowledgeable on the subject. You know walking in, your going to leave with a great piercing. they only use top quality jewelry from brands we all love like Anatometal, industrial Strength, Gorilla Glass, Tawapa, Etc, Etc. It also doesn't hurt that the Owner of the shop just so happens to be the President of the APP. I would recommend this shop to anybody in a heartbeat. I drive 2.5 hours just to be pierced here, it's that good.

Soul Patch Tattoo & Piercing 1599B Haight Street San Francisco, CA 94117 (a block or so from the Haight-Ashbury intersection)
Never been tattooed there, but the portfolios look good, and if it's anything like my piercing experience, I'd be willing to check them out.
Pierced by Marcelo Rodrigues on February 6, 2010. He is FANTASTIC. I was scared about my septum piercing, and he made the entire experience absolutely phenomenal. All of his certifications and qualifications are on the site that I linked in his name.
The shop is very clean, and it has a really cool middle eastern kind of theme, red walls, gold accents with statues and whatnot. Very reasonable prices. The girl who manages the front area was a doll to talk with. She was interested in hearing about past piercing experiences, gave good advice on which starter jewelry to pick, and overall very friendly. Large selection of jewelry for piercings and stretched piercings. They give you a free baggie of sea salt for your new piercing that should last you at least a couple weeks, if not a month.
I fully recommend this shop for anyone in the Bay area. I will never go anywhere else as long as I live in California.

Leo IV, Body artist The Purple Scorpion
Beverly, MA and Salem, MA
I'm from the Boston, MA area, and I can say that I am MORE than impressed with my piercer. He's very friendly and comfortable to be around, he tells you everything you wanna know about what he's doing, he's very professional and very educated, and I will never, ever let myself or any of my friends get pierced by anyone other than him. He does amazing custom industrial work, and custom piercings. I'm even on his online portfolio, coming soon! woo! ( haha xP ) But really, if you're in the North Shore of Massachusetts, looking to get pierced, no doubt go to The Purple Scorpion. They've been around the longest around here, and Leo IV really, REALLY does his job perfectly.
I'll share with you, my experiences there: Before I was as into body mods as I am now, I went there to have my bottom lip (right) pierced, and my monroe done. Both times, it was coincidence that I saw the piercer Judy ( his mom ) and she did a great job with both. I had heard really really good things about Leo IV as I started getting more information, and more into the body mod community, so I saw him to get my nape done. After that, I will never see anyone else but him. He made sure I was comfortable with everything before he did it, he made precise measurements before he pierced me, and he carried on a good conversation with me while I was there. I left with a good acquaintance & a great piercing! As I started going back for the rest of my bajillion piercings, I would always call ahead and make sure I could see Leo IV, but one day when I went to get the other side of my lip pierced, for snakebites, there was an emergency and he was out, so Judy pierced my other snakebite. They ended up uneven. I was pretty upset, but kept my cool when I called Leo IV to talk to him about it. He told me to come in and it would all be tken care of for free, and that he'd hook me up with a free set of jewelry aside from the ones I already had from the initial piercing. He sincerely apologized to me, and when I saw him again he really took the time to measure and find the right place for the piercing. I also know of two other cases, with acquaintances of mine who have had sh!tty piercings done by Judy. I've heard through the grapevine that she may be losing her job soon. ( her husband owns the shop. DX ) And imo, she deserves to. Bottom line: My experiences with Leo IV, have been more than amazing. Go to him (:

Il Bacio Tattoo, Kiss Of Ink affiliate, Farmville, VA.This place is amazing. A warm and inviting atmosphere and some of the most knowledgeable and encouraging staff around. Jackie Rabbit, my favorite artist who frequents there, as well as another unaffiliated shop in Roanoke Virginia, is possibly one of the best artists in the world. Jackie Rabbit aside, the whole staff is wonderful and will definitely make you feel at home. The place is clean, pristine and covered in high quality flash and jewelry. Be sure to stop in on your next trip to central Virginia, its a great place to visit, and I do live there! Rebel Yell Tattoo, Powhatan, VA.I will always have a special place in my bheart for Dennis LaBonte and Rebel Yell Tattoo. It was here, and by Dennis's hand that, on December 26, 2009, I got my very first tattoo. The atmosphere was a bit uninviting, but I had seen Dennis's work before, and knew I was in the right place for Native American artwork. Dennis, as a person, is a bit standoffish, sometimes barely looking up when a patron enters. His fees are fair, and he works with a precision that I admire. Another great tattoo parlor near where I live. Signed with needles in ink, -Dani Koi

▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬ I've been to two shops and only one of the two did I actually get anything done.
The Hole Truth The link is to their facebook which they don't update too often, but you can find more info about them on google.
They are a small shop in Northern Alabama. Kellie is my piercer and she is absolutely amazing. She is very professional, always makes me feel so comfortable and goes through everything with me before hand, telling me what to expect and helping me decide on what I should and shouldn't get based on my preference. She is constantly giving me deals on my work, and is more than happy to answer any and all questions I have. I actually went in yesterday to get my nose pierced. I originally wanted to get both sides done, but I didn't have quite enough to afford them both, she ended up doing my left side first and afterward offered to do my right side for free.
The first piercing I ever got there was my industrial by her husband Don, he is predominantly a tattoo artist however, but his work is just as good as Kellie's.
The only issue I have ever had was when I went to get my Medusa pierced. She ended up loosing the connection between the jewelry and the needle, and Don ended up having to get me an apple juice because the color was fading from my face from the pain. We joke about the incident now every time I go in for work, and I always mention if I can get through that I can get through anything.
I highly recommend this shop to anyone who happens to be in close to Northern Alabama, it has a very welcoming feel, and they are extremely friendly and helpful.
