That seems like a good idea. The more discussion the better. However, I also want to keep this site easy to navigate and without to many sub forums. After sleeping on it, I think I came up with a way to put this forum on the site without adding an extra sub form though.
I was thinking seance the game guide is so linked into itself and no one really looks at it anyway. I think it no longer needs its own sub forum. So I started thinking why not move that into the archives. I could still work on it there and make it functional when I have time to focus on it. Also, some of the discussion topics in the guide might get better noticed If I placed them in a discussion forum of some kind anyway. Of course I would also have to redefine the archives to include our game guide and not just old posts.
Then after moving all these posts, we could then put your new forum in where the game guide was.
Also to avoid confusion I was thinking of naming this forum
Vocaloid discussion and the thread your suggesting off Discussion or something (ok mabe well need name ideas). After all, we do need to avoid creating repeat topics.
Also, I thought it might help this discussion if I posted this section from the best practice guide here off the captains 2.0 guild. This is what I'm primarily focused on using as a guide to improve things here right now. I could be wrong but I think GD stand for Guild Discussion. Now that I look at it again, I think I can think of a few more things on this guild that need work. Well, I'll keep chewing on it and I hope it also sparks ideas and suggestions.
Quote:
the 10 Commandments of Subforums
1. The main forum is for GD, thou shalt not have any other subjects before GD.
2. Thou shalt not use random characters in the titles of subforums. All of thine subforums' titles shalt be grammatically and literately correct.
3. Thou shalt not allocate multiple subjects to any one subforum.
4. Thou shalt not use names that make no sense.
5. Thou shalt not allocate the main forum to only news and announcements, thereby shunning GD to a subforum (thou art excepted from this rule if thou doth not have GD in thy guild).
6. Thou shalt not use subforums for subjects that are sub-categories of other subforums.
7. Thou shalt not have a Crew-only subforum, lest it be absolutely and unavoidably necessary.
8. Thou shalt not make subforums unnecessarily - e.g. for announcements.
9. Thou shalt not have separate subforums for similar/repeated subjects - e.g. "Chat," "Spam," "General Discussion," "Polls" and "Hangout threads," lest thou be thought a loser.
