Name: Atreus Constantinides
Nickname: N/A
Age: 18
Birthday: May 15
Sign: Taurus
Gemstone: Sapphire (Zodiac), Emerald (Birth)
Blood Type: A
Fav. Food: Gyros, Skordalia, Baklava
Hated Food: Hamburgers and French Fries.
School: Meadowview
Hobbies: Cooking - Atreus was raised in a very health conscious home. His home was also filled with people who are fiercely proud of their Greek heritage. As a result, he began to learn at a young age to prepare and cook dishes from his homeland. Atreus will take over the kitchen at all hours, turning out traditional recipes, experiments, or just something he saw one time on Good Eats. Atreus cooks and messes with food because he loves it and to him, it is an incredibly important part of his heritage. If anyone were to tell him he should become a professional, he'd look at them blankly before replying that he cooks out of love. Not a desire for anything so fleeting as fame.
Soccer - Atreus lives, eats and breathes the sport, so much so that he plays in and out of school. He is fiercely competitive and focused when he is playing. Frankly, it's not at all unusual for Atreus to come home from a match covered in mud, grass stains, bruises and beatific smiles. Nor is it unusual for Atreus to take over the television and watch any games he can find featuring his favorite team, Panathinaikos. He has their jerseys, he wears their colors on game day and he is prepared to hammer you with stats and facts about them.
Music - Atreus loves music and his inability to sing or play an instrument does not, in any way, diminish this love. His room is filled with neatly stacked CDs, boxes of cassette tapes and even a few old records. His stereo is a top of the line machine and he even owns an old record player that he cares for meticulously. If asked his favorite genre, Atreus will reply that he loves all music. Except country. Well, modern country. Modern Country music needs to be killed before it spreads further. Atreus has found music in genres you never even knew existed. Friend and patron to more dinky, hole-in-the-wall music shops than you could shake a stick at, Atreus insists that music is the truest form of communication, often able to get ideas and visions and feelings across that mere words can not.
Virtues: He's Going the Distance - Atreus is one of those people. You know who I mean, right? Those people who always give 110% and always strive for perfection. Yeah, well, Atreus is one of them. He puts ridiculous amounts of effort and heart into everything he does. He truly believes that as long as people work hard and do their best, life will give them its best. However, Atreus is far from perfect and he knows it. He's given himself dehydration sickness on more than one occasion simply because he works feverishly to get something just right. And though his perfection loving heart cringes, Atreus has been known to allow himself one or two do-overs if something didn't work right the first time. And should he ever fail, he will withdraw into himself for days at a time and mentally berate himself for not being good enough.
All Things in Their Own Time - Atreus is remarkably patient. It takes a great deal of provocation to make him lose his temper. And that provocation usually has to be in the form of direct confrontation. Even then, he forces himself to only use words as weapons and to get away as quickly as possible. He does not speed while driving. He pre-orders books and music so as to avoid unpleasant scenes at the store. Life is a journey and he's going to take his time and enjoy it. After all, you wouldn't rush a slow roasted dish, would you? So why the ******** would you rush on anything else? Think of Atreus as a smaller, squishier, more laid back version of Treebeard. But without all the HOOOOM-ing. And okay, granted there are times when his patience has NOT been rewarded *coughTheHotChickAtTheCoffeeShopcough*, but those are minor setbacks, really. And they don't happen often enough to teach him that patience is not always a virtue.
A Spoonful of Sugar Helps the Medicine Go Down - You know the old adage about Truth and small children? Well, it doesn't just apply to small children. Atreus is blithely, utterly honest. However, he is also possessed of an almost preternatural gift for tact and diplomacy. He will answer your questions completely and to the best of his ability; he will be honest and let you know your a** looks huge in that dress if you ask him. However, he will phrase it in a way that wraps the truth up in a pretty, shiny little capsule that is easy to swallow.
Flaws: Obsession Much? - When Atreus gets onto a particular path, whether trying out a new recipe, cheering on his team or hunting down a new record, he can get... well... obsessive. The more strongly he feels about something, the worse that obsession gets. He will track down facts, trivia, drive everyone crazy by extolling virtues or flaws, and be a scary sonofabitch in general. And if that obsession happens to hit on another person, well, let's just say that the only reason he hasn't gotten a restraining order yet is because the objects of his affections haven't caught him. However, should his obsessive tendencies alight on a person, that obsession will allow a sort of twisted concern to spring up. Atreus will want the object of his strange and scary affections to be safe. Not necessarily out of concern or care for the other person so much as he doesn't want to see them ruined and spoiled in his eyes. At least before he is done with them, anyway. Atreus' obsessions usually last until he either gets what he wants or until something happens to spoil the object in his eyes. And by spoiled, we mean that someone has found out and had "words" with Atreus, forcing him to turn his attentions elsewhere.
Gotta Catch 'em All - If Atreus likes something, he must own it. He owns every Bunnygrunt album to date, for example. He also owns every Alton Brown book ever. Doesn't sound so bad, right? Well, that's because they don't involve the PEOPLE he wants. It started out small enough, a scarf here, a button from a coat there. Little trophies, little keepsakes. Things that, in some way, allow Atreus to keep a person for himself. The only problem is, they don't really let him keep someone forever and in a way that makes them undeniably HIS and his alone. And so he fantasizes and plans for the day when he can act and make someone his forever and ever and make it so that their last sight, their last thoughts and breaths are all focused on HIM. Someday, he'll hold someone forever in death and no one will ever be able to take his little trophies away. And once he learns about starseeds, it will take a mandate from the gods (Or the wrath of Charonite) to keep him from keeping those lovelies to himself.
He's Got a One Track Mind - Atreus is a focused individual with frequent side quests to Obsession Land (it's nice there, you should visit). While being focused isn't a bad thing in and of itself, when Atreus gets... involved in one of his little projects, it is often to the detriment of everything else. Frankly put, he's wearing a charming set of blinders that only allow him to see and focus on the current object of his obsessions. He's forgotten birthdays, anniversaries, even important homework assignments in his pursuits. And it is entirely likely that if he became obsessed enough, he would also forget basic hygiene and to even eat or keep hydrated.

LT. DODGEBALL! I love his belt, can I have it? =DDDD *SHOT* Soccer -- I'd get rid of the first sentence, as popular sports in America changes often dependant on season and/or how well/bad their favorite/home team is doing. For instance, where I live, my homestate followed basketball closely 'til we lost our team. Both my state's baseball and football teams are doing absolutely horrible to the point that my state is ashamed of its teams. xDDD But... yeeeah, generalizations are best left off of profiles due to how often they can change. Plus soccer tends to be more popular outside of the US. ;3 He's Going the Distance -- Will Atreus ever drive himself to exhaustion to achieve perfection? What's his limit? Does he do it because in his mind he only needs to do something once in order to accomplish it? Will he let himself have any "do overs" or retries if he messes up? What if whatever he does doesn't turn out perfect? I'd like to see parts of his One Track Mind worked into here, since the virtue comes off as him being absolutely perfect at everything he does and he ALWAYS has time to accomplish what he sets out to do. All Things in Their Own Time -- " Atreus is remarkably patient. He does not lose his temper. EVER. " <-- Ever as in never ever? I can buy him being incredibly patient, but he doesn't lose his temper? Let's say Alton Brown came out with a new book, and by the time Atreus manages to jog over to the bookstore, there's one left. And someone manages to pick it up and latch onto it before him. What does he do? His obsession flaws makes me inclined to think he'll do anything he can to get this book. What if someone confronts him about his obsession habits? Let's say his obsession of the week (by the way, how long do his obsessions last?) has a significant other. This significant other catches Atreus' collection habits and reacts angrily. What would Atreus do? What if it comes to blows? And on the Negaverse side, let's say Atreus began obsessing over starseeds, and starts collecting them. His captain catches him, and demands he hands them over, and begins to forcibly take them from him. What then? I really like his obsession flaws as it makes him creepier. He just raises too many questions for me over his obsession habits for me to picture him clearly and believe him. D:
