A layer of white covered the ground as Sylwanin made her way around this new and strange location. When looking at this place it seemed almost as though her home, Pandora, were a world away. Though both had their place on the same planet she found it hard to believe they were at all similar. When night fell here nothing gave off a soft glow and the animals sharing this world with them were so different than the ones she had become accustomed to. Her gilded eyes flicked down to the snow beneath her feet and she listened a moment to the crunching of the ice with each step she took. In Pandora nothing like this had ever happened before, the ground had been covered by ash once but it was not as cold and definitely not as seemingly pure. A small shiver ran down her spine as her blue body began to become prey to the cold flakes falling from the sky and landing upon her. There was so much to learn about this new home she had come to find. She missed the exotic scent her brothers and sisters had given off and the sound of the all too familiar language, now she found herself at a loss for words and tumbling over their pronunciation.

Lifting her head she angled her nose skyward, gazing into the gray fury overhead. Closing her eyes she envisioned a canopy of green weaved into a protective barrier above her head. Instead of snow below her feet she felt rich soil and when she inhaled her nostrils were filled with the musky scent of the earth. Plants of various appearances and species surrounded her ankles, tickling her long slender legs with their foliage. As though believing it were truly there she opened her eyes and looked about, her head swaying back and forth as she scoped the landscape. Again the ground was white and hard and the sky an ominous shade of gray. It wasn’t that she hated it here but it was so different than what she was used to and she missed her home. Exhaling she watched as her breath became visible and floated away on the gentle yet chilling breeze and vanishing into the atmosphere.

The gnarled arms of a tree that was forced into sleep by the cold caught her attention. She ventured in its direction, the bracelets coating her forelegs tinkling gently with each step. Upon reaching the bleached white trunk she lifted her eyes, inspecting the height of the tree. It wasn’t as tall as the trees were where she came from but it still was a fairly nice height. Her tail swishing gently she angled her body so she may lean comfortably against the tree and look out over this foreign landscape. A small breeze was causing small puffs of snow to lift off of the ground and dance gracefully as they were carried away. She had yet to experience the predators of this land but, upon watching the snow, figured that she would be quite the easy meal. Whereas the world was white she was a brilliant blue, not exactly the camouflage she had back in Pandora. Lifting her chin she took pride in her strength and remembered that any attacker would have a fight on his hands should he want to eat her.

Tsamsiyu did not like these new lands, he preferred the lush and beautiful land from which they had come. Pandora they called it and to them it felt worlds apart from these darker lands. They had passed a strange smelling terrible swamp, and now they were in a forest. Yet this forest was not the lush variety they were accustomed to, rather the trees here allowed none to touch them, the grass was sharp and short. He had lost Neytiri, who he had promised to protect and it upset him, put him into a foul mood. Now the lands were cold, bitterly so and the ground was hard beneath him. He moved with the steady grace of his kind his keen eyes inspecting the white covered area he had come too. He had spotted one distant 'herla' as they called themselves here. He knew he was probably one as well, but in his heart he would always be 'na'vi' and the spirits would guide him through these hard new trials.

Keen yellow eyes caught the familiar flash of color ahead, and his nose opened to take in the scent. It was not Neytiri but another of their kind, any any company that might be friendly would be most welcome. Who knew what had become of his brothers and sisters since they had scattered away from their home land as a strange force brought the great tree who shaded them down low.

"Oe-l nga-ti kam'ei'e" He called out before grunting and forcing his tounge. He forgot quite often that here the herla spoke a less complex dialect, well what they considered less complex he supposed. "I see you" He tried again, the greeting of his homeland, a greeting of respect to one who was obviously from there as well.

Sylwanin’s ears pricked as a familiar lilt cut through the cold air, delivering all too familiar words to her attention. For a moment she stood, her muscles stationary and her mind deciding whether or not she were going insane. For so long she had sifted through her memories of home, hearing voices and the sound of her native tongue swirling imaginarily on the breeze about her but this time it sounded all too real. It took her a moment before she turned her head to look at the figure who had spoken to her in the words of home and in this new tongue. Before her was a creature with the same beautiful blue coloring as herself and the golden eyes that glimmered even beneath a dim sky. Upon his body were feathers and beads much like the ones she wore. Blinking a few times she wondered if upon opening her eyes he would vanish but through each closing and opening of her eyes he remained in the same spot. She had been naïve to think she was the only one of her kind to be wandering these parts but she had never come across any so she naturally assumed so. After a moment she shook her head, releasing the tension from every muscle in her body and approaching the male, caution in each step. Though he seemed peaceful and spoke kindly she still found herself feeling weary of the stranger before her. Her nostrils flared as she inhaled his scent, a small remnant of the spice of home remaining with him.

"Oe-l nga-ti kam'ei'e.” She repeated in her usual quiet tone.
She stopped before him, a small smile forming on her maw as she bowed her head and allowed a gentle laugh to escape daintily from her diaphragm. Like him she was having trouble adjusting to the language of this strange new place. Her heart leapt as his words repeated within her mind, the sound of his voice soothing and calm. Lifting her head she locked eyes with the warrior before her.

“I see you.”
For whatever reason saying it in this language seemed to ruin the phrase all together but she knew she would need to adjust to the change. Looking him over for a moment more she observed the same look in his eye as she had upon staring into her reflection. Both of them were far from home but they both still had the same fire within them as their ancestors. Though they were in a different land with different rules and customs they were still Na’vi and always would remain so.

“I cannot tell you how much joy you have provided me with just by your appearance. “ She added calmly. “This new land is strange and seeing a piece of home has lifted a great weight from my heart.” Normally she would be more withdrawn when speaking with another but just as she felt a connection with her other brothers and sisters she also felt a connection with the Na’vi standing before her. “I am called Sylwanin. What are you called?” Within this stranger before her she could once again see the glimmering forest of the night and the creatures they had all come to bond with. A contented breath eased past her mouth as she found herself completely relaxed.
